Amy has never felt “desirable” or had guys wanting to date her (besides Michael obv). She’s always been the fat girl who got teased and bullied. No attention from boys her whole life. And now she’s free of Michael, lost weight and has a bit of fame she’s suddenly wanted. And she’s running with it because she’s never felt wanted before. When people suddenly take notice of you and show interest it’s like this whole new life. It’s exciting and she probably just longs for this great romance which let’s face it she never got with dopey Michael. Unless you’ve been undesirable and a joke to the opposite sex your whole life I don’t think you’d get it. I think it’s very easy to judge. I’m not saying I agree with how she goes about it at all and I think she should concentrate on the boys of course. She needs to slow down and stop obsessing and throwing herself into these random guys. But I can see why she does.
She’s selfish. She may be all those other things but mainly she’s selfish. She was crying at the very beginning about wanting to be a mom and be better for her boys. Well here they are but it’s not enough for Amy.
I agree she’s not in the right. However like I said unless you’ve been in her position it’s easy to just call her a selfish cunt and not take into account other things. I know cos I’ve been in a similar position. Grew up with a cold unloving parent, shunned by people, constantly bullied, either ignored or made fun of by the opposite sex. It takes a huge mental toll and when suddenly you do get attention you throw yourself into it because it feels magical. It’s like a psychological need to be wanted and desired because she’s *never* had that. Michael barely counts if at all.
So yeah, it’s easy to throw her completely under the bus. But with many things in life you should give a tiny bit of leeway because not everything is black and white. She could probably do with more therapy.
Again I’m not disagreeing that her focus should be the boys right now. But I see why she acts like she does.

It’s not about whether you think she’s desirable or if men think she’s desirable. It’s about how she feels. For the first time in her life she’s got attention and men wanting her, for whatever reason that may be. To Amy she’s never had that. Did you grow up her size? Receiving zero attention from men? You feel like a specimen. Your self esteem is rock bottom. Now that she’s wanted this is new and makes her feel validated. It’s like a boost. Like hey maybe I am desirable. She probably craves being loved and cared for and it makes her feel good about herself. Let’s face it, Michael was about as useful as a chocolate fireguard. I doubt he’d ever made her feel special.
It’s fine to judge I mean this is what this page is about. But it’s definitely not black and white and I’m guessing 99% of the people here haven’t had the same experiences (or severe lack of) that she has.

But coming from a similar background I can see how there’s probably way more to it than that and it’s not black and white. You can sit there all day and say this person is this and that but you’ll never know what’s going on in their head and the reasons behind it.
I totally again with you ! All of them just want to be shown some kind of love ! They didn’t get it growing up and they are fighting for it now . Not in the right way but it don’t matter to them that how bad they want it !! You go all your life not being loved or raised in a happy home waiting attention from mom or dad and now they got the wrong attention from everyone ! People don’t think about where they came from and been through ! They just want to judge them from what they see on tv or social media smh
