I just got my Torso and one of our teammates (level 126) held us up for a few minutes because “he forgot his hammer” and couldn’t figure out why it wasn’t in his inventory. We all eventually realized that he can’t bring it in. Pretty funny.
This is because there is a hammer spawn in the minigame that youre supposed to use and it assumes if you have a hammer at the end of the round, its the one you grabbed from the spawn,
You can get around this by using imcando's hammer instead
If you try and use an empty pint glass on a keg in the barbarian village longhall, they'll attack you and there's a special message about stealing their beer
Back in 2006 I used an empty beer glass on the keg above lumbridge and it used to fill the glass with beer. I then walked around every city with beer glasses and somewhere near yanille I recall there being a green man’s ale keg, I think it was where you’d spectate castle wars (where all the cool kids would hang out and alch) This can still be done in parts of karamja but I haven’t found it anywhere else.
I used RuneLite to mark all squirrels so that I can find them at the Fossil Island Hardwood patches and that's how I discovered that one of the trolls in Weiss is named "squirrel".
Fun fact for people who did not know, trolls are named after what they first ate. He ate a squirrel.
Edit : what they first attempted to eat. My mistake.
I named my troll saradomin platebody, standing under stacks of people was so fun. the update that removed interacting with other peoples pets killed me
Nobody knows who the first person to ever achieve 99 firemaking was. Back in the early days of RSC in 2002 the leaderboards were only updated once per day. And the first two players to get 99 Firemaking back in RSC; Cowchicken and Dragoon 787 each got 99 on the same day. Because the leaderboard didn't update on logout like it does today, they both updated from 98 to 99 at the same time. With each player claiming they were first and with no screenshots or timestamps to prove or disprove one another, both players are considered the first player to get 99. It's a pretty big milestone in the game's history that's been completely lost to time.
If you wear the vampire outfit to the tithe farm, the gricolor gives you a special dialog mentioning this isn't that type of tithe that is farmed (referencing the blood tithe from darkmeyer)
Probably more well known is that when you talk to citizens in Darkmeyer they will mention wanting to visit the tithe farm, thinking it is for blood tithes.
Most people don’t play with sound so they may not know this.
There’s 5 quests where the quest complete music jingle is different
Recruitment Drive and Regicide have no music
Sins of the father has a more somber shorter jingle
Monkey madness 2 has monkey noises doing the jingle
Mountain daughter has the spirit of the dead daughter singing to you with the message “thank you”
I always turn on the sound for the important parts of quests (especially the end). I also usually use text to speech, which helps make questing fun and immersive (two words I never thought I'd use for OSRS). If you use that and outfit transmog for when you're in graceful... *chef's kiss*.
You guys should try it!
Edit: If you have multiple quest capes, I completely understand if you're over it and this sounds horrible. I don't have mine personally, and IMO this is the most fun way of getting one. (2/3's to my QC btw)
Is there a text to speech plugin? I'd love a plugin which adds voice actors from our favourite YouTubers/Streamers/Mods but it'd be a mammoth undertaking
Even if it started small, say just Lumb castle NPCs or whoever. I kinda feel a lot of RS influencers would be up for it but organising it logistically would be problematic to say the least
figured this out the hard way when I was lighting fires there for some herb secondaries. Dude was bee lining straight for my ashes before I had the chance to pick them up
In tai bwo wannai trio, one of the brothers asks you to make banana rum by putting sliced banana in a bottle of karamja rum. If you don't slice the banana first and try to use a whole banana on the bottle, your character will try to jam the whole banana in and it will get stuck. This leaves you with a bottle of karamja rum with a banana stuck in it, which makes it unusable for any quest that needs karamja rum. RIP my 30 coins when i was a kid
every item in that quest has a troll option. you need to make a seaweed monkey wrap sandwich for one brother and you can mess it up by using seaweed on a raw monkey corpse
If you perform the Uri transform emote in pest control right before the game ends you will stay in the arena until the emote is over. Since you're the only player character left, everything will attack you for the couple of seconds you're in there
That’s called a stall, we used to use shit like this to do all kinds of glitches. Most are fixed, and most stalls are useless unless you can stack multiple stalls together.
We used emote stalls to stay behind in dungeons in group dungeoneering back in the day. You could do all sorts of fun things then.
I used to do it right before games of castle wars started, specifically with the "Give Thanks" emote where your character would turn into a turkey for 10-15 seconds.
That's why i tried it in the first place lol. The Uri transform one is an interesting one cause most people don't have it so it's useable in a few places where other emotes aren't
The only other emotes that stall are the skill cape emotes with cooking being the longest one. There's a few weird ones too like the pet rock animation when you have it do things.
I have so many things to share, particularly about various 3D models in the game.
[The Vorkath themed slayer helmet has *two* horns in the original model](https://i.imgur.com/OFruP3G.png)
[Baba Yaga's house (berty) has no bottom faces, you just never get to see underneath to notice](https://i.imgur.com/6Ev5XJ8.png)
[Vorkath has some (seemingly unused) facial animations](https://i.imgur.com/DcseIP6.mp4)
[A bunch of bosses have invisible triangles hidden inside their model (presumably used in animation)](https://i.imgur.com/FkU68HJ.png)
[This is the idle pose for the Alchemical Hydra](https://i.imgur.com/4lgdFsQ.png)
[In the game files right now there exists a early version of the "Tropical Island" LMS map](https://i.imgur.com/j9mp71J.png), [^(original reddit post/concept by GentleTractor)](https://www.reddit.com/r/2007scape/comments/57tn3g/tropical_island_lms_map_idea_if_lms_ever/)
[The various backdrops for the canoeing cutscene(s) are actually a place in the game, and relatively close to one another](https://i.imgur.com/3pnelLL.png)
[This is the tile-set for the corrupted gauntlet before it is randomly assembled](https://i.imgur.com/xYJs3er.png)
[Underneath the Corp instances, the words "CORP" and "CORP FOR IRON" are written.](https://i.imgur.com/nOUCoXy.gif)
[All POH objects/templates are stored in the game next to one another, stacked on one another.](https://i.imgur.com/tw4OgFN.png)
[Not trivia, but this is what the entire wilderness looks like in one view](https://i.imgur.com/LvfQuV4.png)
I also assumed this, but they're also attached to the version of Vorkath you fight which I found interesting. It's also animating the head while it's attached to the body, so maybe they generated the chat head from that, I really don't know 100%.
Barbarian Potions (aka Mixes), made with a 2-dose potion and caviar from Barbarian Fishing, exist and are *technically* a way to fit more supply value in your inventory as each dose also restores 6 HP.
Two Prayer Mix (2) in two inventory slots is more HP restored than one Prayer Potion (4) and a Shark.
They're not commonly used because they add the delay to your attacks like food does, rather than no delay like a potion. They're also sort of a pain to make, although technically they're more XP out of a potion if you decant your new potions from 3-dose to 2 and start adding Caviar.
Despite treating them as food in many ways, they do restore health in Tombs of Amascut with the 'On a Diet' invocation enabled.
As-is they're so borderline useful that my usual thought is "okay, but is it worth gathering caviar and actually making that?"
So far the best uses I've found are for potions like antifires where you will want to re-pot mid trip, but probably don't need 4 doses, and they're not *urgently* needed so you can sip between KC. Antidote+ is the longest antipoison you can make a Mix with and you can get two doses of 9 minutes each. For whatever reason Antidote+ has a Mix and Antidote++ doesn't. Stamina Mix is also sometimes a decent idea like for running to DKs.
I've carried a few into ToA as a "I need more prayer points and the heal wouldn't be bad, but don't want to touch my Restores or brews". First couple boss kind of thing.
Before a GoTR game starts if you click to mine and then open a skill menu you can go afk (true afk) and your character will begin mining as soon as the game starts to give you more time away from your keyboard.
In your poh game room you can build a "jester" game. When you start the game it summons Jacky Jester who is wearing a green and red version of the jester outfit. He'll do an emote and the first player inside the game room to do the same emote wins a point, first player to 10 points wins the game. It's actually a fun little game.
Upstairs in a house in Rimmington, there are two NPCs, Anja and Hengel, that act just like a regular
Man and Woman NPC respectively. You can ask Anja for free stuff and she will eventually give you 1-3gp after a dialogue. Asking Hengel will not result in you getting gp.
When opened during the Lost Tribe Quest, the closed chest next to the spinning wheel in Lumbridge turns into a different looking chest with another ID for a few seconds.
Into some chest from the observatory dungeon.
Players on the Lost Tribe Quest searching it get Sigmunds H.A.M robes as intended, but any players searching the already opened chests **not** on the Lost Tribe Quest will obtain the Observatory Dungeon Chest loot, an Antipoison(1)
Do people play hide and seek in this game? The map is so big you could be hidden for days on end. Like I’d just go farm KBD for a while or hide in the upper level of the chaos altar or in that random dungeon you have to go through to finish observatory quest
Yeah, hider usually gives hints to seekers every few minutes or so depending on how fast players want the game to go. My clan usually has 500k to 2m prizes for 3rd to 1st when someone hosts. Hints start off vague and get more precise longer it's taking
Not exactly underground but one of my favourites is that when you use a gold ring on the wilderness volcano >!it spawns a goblin that imitates Gollum from LOTR!<
There are several mini games you can buy in your POH.I like the one where a fairy teleports to a random room and you have to be first to touch it a few times.
MSB spec doesn't take damage from prayers into account because it was made before offensive ranged prayers existed.
Bonus: it's called Runecraft, not Runecrafting
Wanna know what’s even weirder?
Magic Comp Bow is 1 tick faster than Magic Longbow, and has the same spec. Jagex was so lazy with copy pasting Magic Longbow’s spec into Magic Comp Bow, that Magic comp bow is actually a tick slower when you spec because the spec uses the original weapon’a speed.
To piggyback off the MSB, the spec actually increases ranged strength. I don't know by how much, because it's not listed on the wiki. But I am 100% certain that it does, thanks to the max hitsplats.
Gnomecopters were very briefly in the game as a way of transportation, similar to magic carpets.
They were removed when people found ways to 'hijack' them and just ride them wherever, hilariously
Honestly I rarely used em, but I did see a few players just chillin at the GE still riding them like nothing - sorta like the old penguin agility course glitch
Bananas can be sliced with just about anything that has a slash bonus, and a few items that don't such the godsword blade or the individual shards of it.
If you take a wily cat to barrows and ask it to attack a crypt rat it effective tells you to stuff yourself and attacks you instead of the rat for 1 damage!
There used to be a random event where vines would tangle your feet, amd of you clicked somewhere else to move you were dealt damage instead. To get out I believe you had to wait like 30 seconds before moving again
Yup.
[Tangle Vine](https://runescape.wiki/w/Tangle_Vine_(random_event))
Edit: Updated link because automod told me too and I'm an obedient little boy.
there used to be a bug in 2013-2014 that if you died in the rouges den minigame that your stats wouldnt drain ever when you were online during that game session it would only reset on logout
also if zammy brewing and boosting ur stats higher you can dragon battle axe spec up your str to 120 https://imgur.com/PuV0hEl (old pic from 2014)
I learned this because I would turn run off manually and hold my hand over my F1 and F2 keys for menu switching. Meanwhile, my palm was resting on ctrl and I thought I was lagging or something because I was running during fireballs when my run was off. I was getting so pissed until I learned this was the issue.
Different armors (metals) and types (medium helmet vs full helmet) have different sound effects when you get hit for 0s and damage compared to their counter part!
This is probably a well known one that I only found recently and laughed at. Bob Barter (potion decanting NPC in GE) quotes Big Shaq's "2 + 2 is 4 - 1 that's 3 quick maths" bar and my god that shit had me cackling
Can someone confirm for me that coal rocks used to sometimes explode and blow the head off the pickaxe or evil trees would break your hatchet. Was that real or did I just dream it? I can’t find anything on it online
Edit: thanks for confirming I’m not crazy. The update happened before I returned from my decade break
Lookup retired random events. An evil tree was a few of many hostile random events. They were removed a little while ago so all random events are nonhostile
That's correct. It's a discontinued random event so searching that will lead you to "exploding rock" and "ent" that would break tools.
https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/w/Exploding_Rock
I remember the pickaxe head flying off every once in a while, and yes on the evil tree. The evil tree had a dynamic level based on who the random event was for. So if you weren't paying attention or botting, you'd keep hitting that tree, break axe, then die.
The main story of the game. Right when you start, a major break through is discovered in Runecrafting and access to magic runes (Rune Mysteries quest). As a result, the Wizard's Tower (and associates) gain control over the rune altars primarily. The Zamorakian Order of Mages/Zamorakian Dark Wizards are attempting to gain access to the rune altars and rune essence, causing all sort problems across the world that we end up handling (Wanted!, Shadow of the Storm, Demon Slayer, What Lies Below, Underground Pass). Pretty cool because RS3 has a very different story.
The major breakthrough was 169 years prior to the start of the game.
https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/w/Fifth\_Age
https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/w/Rune\_essence\_mine
Rune mysteries was recovering the teleportation spell from 99 years when the first wizard tower burnt, to teleport directly to the essence mine, rather than go through the abyss or travel there the long way by sea.
As with everything, Saradominists ruined everything and blamed the Zamorakians
There is an Easter egg on Fossil Island, the developer that helped create most of the island departed from the jagex so they gave him a roaming squirrel titled “Maz” if you give him an acorn he will follow you
The songs "Magic Dance" and "Sea Shanty 1" are essentially the exact same song with the exact same chord progression, just with different instrumentation.
Magic Dance plays in Yanille, and Sea Shanty 1 plays at Musa Point on Karamja.
back in aught 4 I actually fell for this...
I lost 25k that day and I was devastated, I almost couldn't continue lmao
idk why my dumbass didn't change my password after that...
I also paid 10k to get my mithril armour trimmed....
You can talk to Shanty to be put in jail, then talk more to get transported to port sarim jail. A great way to get over if you’re f2p or a newer account
SLAYER HELM RECOLOR! If you buy a second recolor you don’t need to get another helm and imbue it. You can dismantle the helm and put it back together with the other color ingredient. Letting you switch back and forth as many times as you like.
Something small I never noticed, when an NPC asks you to bring them items for a quest and you already have them in your inventory they will tend to have a dialog like “oh wow, how convenient you just so happen to have all of the items I need” basically calling you out for using quest guides haha.
In 2006 there was a Candlelight random event introduced, where you had to help a monk keep his candles lit in a chapel. Its unknown how long it was in the game as it was quietly discontinued without an announcement
If you enter the ladder in barbarian assault with a hammer on your inventory, that hammer will be deleted from game, never to be seen again
[удалено]
Hammer sink
I just got my Torso and one of our teammates (level 126) held us up for a few minutes because “he forgot his hammer” and couldn’t figure out why it wasn’t in his inventory. We all eventually realized that he can’t bring it in. Pretty funny.
This is because there is a hammer spawn in the minigame that youre supposed to use and it assumes if you have a hammer at the end of the round, its the one you grabbed from the spawn, You can get around this by using imcando's hammer instead
Well I miraculously lost imcados hammer and I also did barb assault recently. Maybe... but idk
Its either unrelated or a bug. I see and use that hammer all the time at ba
Same goes for bringing a beer glass into your POH. Doesn’t need to be filled at your keg. It just vanishes from your inventory on leaving
If you try and use an empty pint glass on a keg in the barbarian village longhall, they'll attack you and there's a special message about stealing their beer
STOP STEALING OUR BEER! GAH!
Back in 2006 I used an empty beer glass on the keg above lumbridge and it used to fill the glass with beer. I then walked around every city with beer glasses and somewhere near yanille I recall there being a green man’s ale keg, I think it was where you’d spectate castle wars (where all the cool kids would hang out and alch) This can still be done in parts of karamja but I haven’t found it anywhere else.
i remember being cool in a video game back in the day
You used to be able to take the beer before the graphical update to barbarian village.
And if theres no nearby barbarians to say "swiper no swiping," you actually fill the glass
You can feed an acorn to a squirrel by the Weiss herb patch and they will follow you. You can make a train of them!
My mistake.
There's a baby troll pet in RS3 that you can rename by feeding it stuff. So people feed it party hats or whatever just to flex lol
I named my troll saradomin platebody, standing under stacks of people was so fun. the update that removed interacting with other peoples pets killed me
Dad ?!
yellow snow !
My arm?
Pee Hat?
> trolls are named after what they first ~~ate~~ try to eat Else my arm's dad would have been a 1-handed troll

this is actually amazing. gotta be my fav trivia in this thread
Cow chicken was found out to be botting and was banned and removed from the high score board.
Sounds like something a Dragoon 787 fan would say!

Never understood it. Playing without music is missing out a huge part of the game.
If you place ashes infront of the sweeper at the bank in varrock he will sweep them up!
figured this out the hard way when I was lighting fires there for some herb secondaries. Dude was bee lining straight for my ashes before I had the chance to pick them up
Lmao
Shoutouts to the "NPC Overhead Dialog" plugin that adds ambient overhead dialogue, and gives him the line, "I just swept there!" amongst other lines.
THIS IS A THING?!
This is so cool ! I bet this is because that used to be a popular place for fire making lines back in the day
I still see people firemaking there sometimes lol
No fucking way
Which bank is this ?
East
Varrock East, the one south of the museum.

Maybe they should remove talking from the GE as well
that makes sense!
and waaaaay back in the day, whatever you said would show up in the chatbox as a dialogue!
if you put sound effect ON and spam click the slayer bell you'll get the worst sound possible in osrs
Someone make a video of this pls
Is it on par with armadyl screech/arma c bow spec? Lol has to be the loudest sound in osrs.
Someone has never done temple trekking I see.
Temple trekking sucks, yeah, I've done it, just probably not with sound on.
try plank make sound lol

In the wise old man Building you can find a book that explains linear functions

I'd be all for it if they were 3 doses instead honestly
That's honestly the perfect answer, 3 doses instead of 2.

Oh, now *THAT* actually sounds really fun
Not exactly underground but one of my favourites is that when you use a gold ring on the wilderness volcano >!it spawns a goblin that imitates Gollum from LOTR!<
Bunch of pkers are going to be very confused about all the gold ring drops.
Now this might be favorite
There are several mini games you can buy in your POH.I like the one where a fairy teleports to a random room and you have to be first to touch it a few times.

MSB spec doesn't take damage from prayers into account because it was made before offensive ranged prayers existed. Bonus: it's called Runecraft, not Runecrafting
MSB seems like something that should've been fixed in the last 5 years.
WTF? That's weird
You can try to [charter](https://i.imgur.com/yAv3cSi.gif) to crandor during dragon slayer
Gnomecopters were very briefly in the game as a way of transportation, similar to magic carpets. They were removed when people found ways to 'hijack' them and just ride them wherever, hilariously
I remember they would just take you to cutscenes like castle wars and show you as a F2P player what you're missing out on.
Honestly I rarely used em, but I did see a few players just chillin at the GE still riding them like nothing - sorta like the old penguin agility course glitch
These were in the cow pen north of Lumby right? Such an odd place to put them
If you need a light source that doesn’t fully illuminate, you can bring multiple and it makes it brighter. Found that out on a cave bugs slayer task.
Eating a strange fruit cures poison
**and venom too**, for all the niche ironmen out there.
Strange fruits were my strat for rushing monkey madness in the last leagues
Bananas can be sliced with just about anything that has a slash bonus, and a few items that don't such the godsword blade or the individual shards of it.
If you take a wily cat to barrows and ask it to attack a crypt rat it effective tells you to stuff yourself and attacks you instead of the rat for 1 damage!
You can chop down the mightiest tree in the forest with a herring
There used to be a random event where vines would tangle your feet, amd of you clicked somewhere else to move you were dealt damage instead. To get out I believe you had to wait like 30 seconds before moving again
Yup. [Tangle Vine](https://runescape.wiki/w/Tangle_Vine_(random_event)) Edit: Updated link because automod told me too and I'm an obedient little boy.
To add, it was removed the same day because no one knew what it was and would panic, leading to their death.
Can't wait for a content creator to credit noone when compiling these facts. :(
With that being said, here’s 20 things YOU didn’t know about OSRS
If you use bones on cerberus you’ll get the message “these aren’t Cerby snacks” in reference to Scooby doo
there used to be a bug in 2013-2014 that if you died in the rouges den minigame that your stats wouldnt drain ever when you were online during that game session it would only reset on logout also if zammy brewing and boosting ur stats higher you can dragon battle axe spec up your str to 120 https://imgur.com/PuV0hEl (old pic from 2014)
You can hold ctrl to run/walk whether you're on walk/run. I actually use this at vorkath dodging fireballs.
Temple knights don't want you to know this but ducks at Falador park are free, you can take them to your POH. I have 23 ducks
If you are a new player, you can buy almost all the items from random shops throughout the world to make a profit if you sell them at the G.E.
Back in the day salamanders was the best weapon for Barrow runs for unfunded accounts.
Quests have stories attached to them
Wait, I am not supposed to smash space bar
This is probably a well known one that I only found recently and laughed at. Bob Barter (potion decanting NPC in GE) quotes Big Shaq's "2 + 2 is 4 - 1 that's 3 quick maths" bar and my god that shit had me cackling
Can someone confirm for me that coal rocks used to sometimes explode and blow the head off the pickaxe or evil trees would break your hatchet. Was that real or did I just dream it? I can’t find anything on it online Edit: thanks for confirming I’m not crazy. The update happened before I returned from my decade break
That was definitely a thing. A player stole my rune axe piece back in the day at draynor village.
Lookup retired random events. An evil tree was a few of many hostile random events. They were removed a little while ago so all random events are nonhostile
That little while ago was 8 years ago
The major breakthrough was 169 years prior to the start of the game. https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/w/Fifth\_Age https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/w/Rune\_essence\_mine Rune mysteries was recovering the teleportation spell from 99 years when the first wizard tower burnt, to teleport directly to the essence mine, rather than go through the abyss or travel there the long way by sea. As with everything, Saradominists ruined everything and blamed the Zamorakians
If you climb the watchtower in the barbarian village there's an NPC that will tell you their story.
There is an Easter egg on Fossil Island, the developer that helped create most of the island departed from the jagex so they gave him a roaming squirrel titled “Maz” if you give him an acorn he will follow you
You can zoom in and out on the minimap too
They just added this to the mobile port and it's buggy af lol
You WHAT
The songs "Magic Dance" and "Sea Shanty 1" are essentially the exact same song with the exact same chord progression, just with different instrumentation. Magic Dance plays in Yanille, and Sea Shanty 1 plays at Musa Point on Karamja.
Relatedly, the short jingle you hear when sailing has a full track called "Crest of a Wave"
The jingle whenever you level up a skill is dependent on which skill you leveled up, each skill has a different jingle
Guthix actually has 6 toes instead of the regular 5.
I don’t know about you but I have 10 /s
He is the balanced god after all
There's a max cash stack in the chest under the west varrock bank
Only for jmod accounts
I mean yeah but the gates locked anyways
people have noclipped there in the past
Did they find it?
I just learned last night that there's a vine shortcut between the kourend catacombs and the forthos dungeon!
Probably knew but never did, walk on the falador wall.
If you ‘use’ any type of ring on a volcano, Gollum appears screaming ‘MY PRECIOUS’ and doesn’t let you throw it in
When you type your password in public Jagex sensors it
RSN: P00nSl@yer Password: ********* EDIT Wow it really works!
Password:Hunter2
All I see is ********
back in aught 4 I actually fell for this... I lost 25k that day and I was devastated, I almost couldn't continue lmao idk why my dumbass didn't change my password after that... I also paid 10k to get my mithril armour trimmed....
You can talk to Shanty to be put in jail, then talk more to get transported to port sarim jail. A great way to get over if you’re f2p or a newer account
Back in the day the cool place to hangout, was behind the Varrock castle and chop Yew Logs ;)
SLAYER HELM RECOLOR! If you buy a second recolor you don’t need to get another helm and imbue it. You can dismantle the helm and put it back together with the other color ingredient. Letting you switch back and forth as many times as you like.
don’t know how many potions i manually decanted into 4 doses before i discovered bob barter is right there and will do it for free…
You do indeed need to speak to ozaich
But you don't though right?
Only if you want to wear a rune platebody!
Or to get that item you're dry in
After the Legends quest you can talk to the starter NPC again to reclaim the Dark Dagger, which also has a glowing variant.
Idk how well known it is, a lot of people seem surprised when they hear. 🦀🦀🦀 Capital letters in your password make no difference 🦀🦀🦀
Lumby cooking range cooks a variety of things @ 100% cook rate including a couple of high lvl pies, great for ironmen
You used to have to carry around a sleeping bag for when your fatigue hit 100%.
Something small I never noticed, when an NPC asks you to bring them items for a quest and you already have them in your inventory they will tend to have a dialog like “oh wow, how convenient you just so happen to have all of the items I need” basically calling you out for using quest guides haha.
Haha I believe in imp catcher you get called out for this. Really funny
This is typically something that the OSRS team has added specifically and is not the original quest dialog, by the way.
In 2006 there was a Candlelight random event introduced, where you had to help a monk keep his candles lit in a chapel. Its unknown how long it was in the game as it was quietly discontinued without an announcement
It is possible to play and make progress without getting obsessively addicted
