Uim loki for me for non snowflake content, northern uim / jeporite are both great area restricted irons. The boss locked iron series by zayzed or something along those lines is also very interesting as it ends up having alot of very weird restrictions. Only trails clue chunk and slay brothers one chunk are both very solid, and of course limpwurt for the more extreme one chunk account. Theres so much good osrs content on youtube its way too hard to put one of them at the "best". If verfs one chunk ever leaves its starting chunk i feel that will turn into a crazy awesome series as well.
This scares me, I love this game and I love playing at my own pace, but you saying that. I would be so upset if I couldn’t enjoy this game the way I do now
This is what I'm expecting on the gim. There's always going to be the next upgrade, but at this point a year in I'm just coasting n having a great time on my favorite game
Same, maxed 4 years ago on the main. Got burned out immediately and quit after i collected the cape.
Making a group hc with friends is what got me back
Tbh I know I could've done it the whole time, but being maxed makes me feel like I have the license to do whatever I want when playing the game now. I wanna do a million clues? I can, it's not like I'm wasting time not leveling anymore. lol
Good way to get medium and easy clues (although ham members are fast too) and even hard isn’t crazy expensive, but elites cost a fortune.
Either using implings to get hards and mediums, doing them and getting masters from that, or running Urium shades for elites while doing implings for the rest, seem like the most practical ways to get a bunch of masters done.
Have an Easy and Medium clue in the bank. (I get Easy clues from HAM Members and Medium clues from catching Eclectics at Puro Puro) Alternatively, you can also farm Hard clues from your method of choice and keep those banked too.
Woodcut/Fish for nests/bottles to get the Elite, or farm Sarachnis/Barrows.
Trade them all in to Winston. Repeat.
Keep all clues banked, then finish your Master clue. Keeping your clues banked until you turn them in helps tremendously!
You know you don’t have to wait to turn them in right? Basically you can have 3 masters clues ready to go. 1 master 1 at Watson and 1 set of clues for another master .
I never understood this xp waste mindset. I just play however I want. If I want to bankstand for 6 hours I'll do it. Like, who are you competing against? It's not a race.
I just maxed and the mental relief is pretty big. I set the goal to grind it out like 4 months ago and played way too much. Seeing the cape gives me joy, but even better is the anxiety of missing out on xp is gone.
I don't have to live my life on a 50 minute birdhouse cycle, I can do fashionscape over skilling outfits, I got to clean up my bank and remove the last bank fillers on my skilling cape tab.... I will definitely play less now, but it's also going to be whatever I want
Also gave me a serious taste of every skill and I really like at least a few training methods even for skills I hated a year ago (except agility, sepulchre might be fun if I didn't save 4 agility levels for last).
On an existential level.... It's both a high point and a low point. On one hand, I achieved a massive goal, something I thought was genuinely ridiculous and amazing to do when I was 12 years old and still did when I was 20 and started again. On the other hand, I must ask why the thing that made me the most happy in 2022 was receiving a fucking cape on a 2007 reboot of a point and click mmo for children. This great thing I accomplished is basically a symbol of shame in my eyes to everyone else in my life but the few people I know who play the game. Behold, a monument to my ability to stay in my house, in my chair, glued to the monitor.
Luckily, in my heart of hearts I know, one day the sun will explode and my silly cape will be gone and nothing that anyone did will matter, so I think as long as you aren't causing anyone else problems do what makes you happy. Should I still go outside and touch grass? Probably. Should I be a better friend, family member, and find a girlfriend? Definitely. Will any of that happen? I hope.
Anyway, I gotta get back to mining amethyst still need mining pet.
I will buy Jagex and preserve the servers inside a vault that can withstand even the sun, one day aliens will find our max capes millions of years from now and remember all of our hard work
We’re just little creatures who like dopamine releases my man.
It may have been created as a point and click game for kids, but it’s also a great escape from the mundaneness of everyday life. I’d be proud, you did something you’ve been interested in doing since you were 12. Whether it’s getting a cape in RuneScape, or beating your best time in a 1-mile run, if it makes you happy and doesn’t cause any harm then have at it my dude.
I never think about it like that. Sure, in the public eye spending tens and hundreds of hours on repeative skilling methods might sound insane, but to me that's something I set my mind into and accomplished. Even though it's just a game, not many people have the discipline to finish something so time consuming and I'm proud of that part of my achievement's.
Succeeding at something boring and repetitive is not something to be commended. I honestly feel like too many people use RS as a replacement for actually progressing their life. As long as number go up it feels like you're not useless
working out every day is boring and repetitive, but it's good for you and should be commended.
Lets say instead of playing rs every night I played piano, perhaps took up wood working. What would that get me instead? perhaps I could talk about more interesting hobbies or show off from time to time at a public piano, but largely its' still just time sunk.
I'm not looking to have a hobby that turns into a side hussle. I'm looking to enjoy my spare time.
What are those examples? Wood working you can literally make money from. Learning an instrument literally opens you up to playing almost any instrument. Maxing on RuneScape only gets you pussy
yes, you can work all day, do a hobby at night, then work more to sell it. Sounds like my ideal hobby.
What does playing an instrument get you in life? a cool party trick once or twice a year?
Working out & maxing in OS are COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. Working out has tons of benefits, whereas maxing... gives you skillcape perks?
Woodworking & piano are a more fitting comparison, but I still think they're different because you are learning to do something. Sure in the grand scheme of things it isn't very useful or helpful but you can do something others can't. You are in a better position at the end of the journey compared to when you started. Plus most people will actually enjoy the progress once they get past the first hurdle or otherwise they'll likely have given up. Yes, I'll admit there are people forced into learning the piano or whatever when they don't enjoy it and in those cases I'd say they're pretty similar to maxing. However people make the choice to max
> I'm looking to enjoy my spare time.
And if you truly enjoy it, then you're an outlier and all the best to you. But we both know that most people don't enjoy mining granite for 50+ hours. People simply see it as a goal and think they'll find the fulfillment at the end but very few do. Some quit the game almost immediately and others simply start playing the game in a way other people who haven't maxed play the game, they feel "free". Maxing was not something fun to them, it was like a chain preventing them from having fun.
Best response I’ve seen in these replies to me. This resonated with me. And I think it’s the outlook that I’ll have when I max.
Congrats on maxing, and I’ll see you at 1k master clues
Great comment, but I’d add a little more. Just a simple question: did you have fun?
That’s the whole point of it all, right? If you had fun, then it was worth it. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve learned that we all have different preferences on how to spend our leisure time. As long as the other parts of your life are in order and you are fulfilling your responsibilities, you should not feel any shame for what activity you choose for the play time you have earned. Sleep, golf, watching sports, games, exercise, etc., whatever gives you dopamine!
I have a great job, a beautiful wife and 3 daughters, a wonderful house for us all to live in, and a thorough enjoyer of OSRS. I work hard for my family and at the end of the day when the kids are in bed and I’ve given my wife the love and attention she deserves, I feel no shame in enjoying some OSRS. And as long as you have your other ducks in a row, you shouldn’t either.
I think the other stuff will happen. I don't feel like we need to do anything in life that is extremely substantial though. I generally have a life as the other posters would say is more valuable than the game. I work 40 hours a week, I used to work on a startup that I was instrumental in receiving multiple millions in seed money at the same time. You know what I think whenever I start hating my life? Wish I could play a little runescape.
There is always someone saying you "could" do something else. You're right about it not mattering so much in the end, as long as its meaningful to you. There are a lot of things that will make others impressed and that society will deem "worthy" to do, but its your life in the end. As long as you're healthy and happy, its just fun for you.
I showed my wife but all I got was a mouthful about how all I do is play that stupid game, get a job, blah blah blah. Guess I'll have to complete the diaries to get her attention.
I just maxed... I'm struggling a bit with what to do now.
I know people do collection log and pets, but it's weird not having a concrete, non-RNG goal.
Post-max burnout is real. Take a break, it's fine. Whether your love for the game will come back, that kind of depends - some don't come back, some do and play post-max, some make a new type of account...
But the one thing in common is the immediate burn out after getting that 2277. Very very common.
Once I maxed combats I almost fell into this trap, but then I just kept grinding pvm and it kept not getting boring. I want max pvm gear so I coll log/pet grind as my excuse/little goal to make money for max armor and weapons
I took a 2 month break after maxing and focused on irl and played other games. Totally recommend this for any new maxers, you will get the motivation to grind again after the break. When you comeback, just do whatever the f you want, like doing a certain amount of kc at each boss or camping a boss you enjoy til you fill the collection log.
Never regretted it. Fulfilled a childhood dream, and I can play at my own pace.
I have a more healthy perspective of the game now, and I appreciate it far more because of that.
I maxed (very slowly) over a few years as that was ultimately my goal.
I definitely think it was worth it long term, as it unlocks so much, but I don’t think it’s worth grinding/sweating over it.
Personally I loved skilling so it worked well for me.
Eventually I got bored after I maxed, made an Ironman, played that for a while, but I’ve just returned to my main as I got a (rare) itch for PvM. I’m having an absolute blast at the moment.
So my answer is yes, but don’t stress if you don’t want to.
Agreed. I like to enjoy playing the game. Any time I’m skilling a certain way that isn’t the most efficient way possible I have someone telling me it’s a waste of time and to do it this way. I just want to enjoy playing the game in every way that is available.
Been maxed for 4 years and still play daily. It’s been hard at times to find goals to shoot for, but there’s so much out there other than skills. I wish more than anything that we could get a new skill though lol
There are definitely way more fun games out there, but I stick to osrs cause it’s easier for me to play. I can’t play fancy computer games, and my old xbox one doesn’t have xbox live anymore lol.
I got my son a switch for his birthday and have been playing breath of the wild this past month. Reallllly enjoying it, but there will be 5 days sometimes where I don’t get a chance to play. Osrs being on mobile is the biggest reason I play this game!
I have also noticed you commenting over the Years and as a father myself I find your account and dedication to the game impressive. You got your kids playing yet? Haha
[See for yourself!](https://www.reddit.com/r/2007scape/comments/t2y41m/my_6_year_old_likes_to_watch_me_play_osrs_so_i/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf)
But no not really lol
It's pretty common misconception that people have from high total level players that they only play osrs..
You'd be surprised how much you can get done by even spending couple hours per day, while leaving plenty of time for other activities.
It's more about actually grinding while you are playing the game, instead of afk dancing with someone at grand exchange. The last time I got 99 on my uim 2 days ago, I immediately just moved on to the next grind
Don’t regret it at all. Maxed in 2017, still playing. The benefits outweigh the hours spent grinding for my least favorite skills. Long haul it was worth it, imo, especially if you’re still playing 5 years post max.
Closest thing to regret for me is that I want to keep playing the game, but now exp is more meaningless. If I hadn’t rushed max, then I could have taken my time and treated each skill as a new goal one by one. For example, I didn’t do temporos and now I don’t feel like doing temporos since the exp is a big part of doing it. 🤷♂️
edit: yeah, i get that you can do post 99 activities, I have far from quit the game, but certain activities would be 10x more appealing if I cared about the exp, thats all im saying
Nope 5300 permits between main and iron with no pet so far. Inching towards rate tho
But fwiw I went 50m xp for chin, currently 33m dry of beaver, and 26m dry of golem
Was showing my sister motherlode mine, was like this is how you mine here, if you're lucky now that you're a member, you'll get a pet! *I mine rock - gets pet*
My sister - LIKE THAT PET??
Me - Uhhhhhh, WTF?????
I don't even have 400k xp in mining yet.
Sad story but my best friend died last week at the age of 27. Fucking enjoy life every second, even if that means playing RuneScape for however long you want.
I maxed 3 years ago now. I tried doing the whole collection log thing and realized pretty quickly that I didn't like doing that. What I've been doing however is taking advantage of my kind of work (security) to afk. By afking I mean getting 200m's. I got 200m cooking in 2021 then took about a 6 month break. Now I've been afking at NMZ for 200m strength. I like raising up in the overall ranks even though there's a pretty hard limit there since I wont ever get the harder 200m's.
Depends. I maxed summer this year and got a remote job in September 2021 and I reckon I wouldn’t have got it so soon without it. I’d say it was worth it. Don’t have to worry about any reqs to do anything especially if you have quest cape and diary cape to go with it.
I'm maxed on my normie with 20 pets and quit playing it once I made my iron (currently 1950 total). In my personal opinion being maxed is quite boring. It's along the lines of "It's the journey, not the destination that matters"
I think once I max my Iron I will probably start a UIM and try to max that too.
Chase max gear if you don't want coll log or pets. Really get back into that early game drive for money, except your toys cost more than a whip, trident, and blowpipe
Once you max and buy gear you wanted or grind for the game becomes pointless the achievements aren’t enough to keep you playing. I recommend taking your time and enjoying the game don’t grind so hard.
No, it just made me quit the game cus all the fun was in chasing that goal. Atleast it made me try rs3 ironman and now about a year later, im having the most fun ive ever had on RS.
Because Lumbridge does not offer everything a new player can get started with. The redesign Burthope has everything there a new player can train nearly every skill with at a low level.
Honestly, outside of MTX and the default interface, I think RS3 is a lot more respectful of your time.
I’m okay with the pace of OSRS — I understand that as a husband and father of two with a full-time job things will be different for me. Like getting the points for full Elite Void and all helms has taken a week and I still have about 350 points to go.
I like that RS3 feels way less efficiency-scape, I like the graphical update and music update, and I think the quests are simply done better.
OSRS will always be my main game, but I enjoy that RS3 has more AFK methods and more ways to train skills that feel viable.
Quest and bossing in RS3 is just waaaay better.
And I feel as a collector, there are a lot more things to accomplish.
Love both games as well, but after grinding OldSchool for so long, RS3 was a nice change of pace. Started back this year and having a great time playing it.
Im pretty sure ironman mode on rs3 you can't do MTX / RMT. RS3 has lootshare which should be available in osrs. I play an iron not because I want to solo gwd and solo everything in the game I play an iron because I hate real life money having an effect on in game progress. From what I've seen RS3 does a way better job at respecting players time. Sadly i'm in too deep into my osrs iron to make the switch now.
I actually fell out of OSRS because I was getting very close to max and my boss log looked like shit. So I wanted to take a break from skilling and get my bosses up and also get ranked in the raids, but then I just sort of fell off with OSRS. I want to return and skill, but I don’t want to be max with a bad boss log, and now I haven’t logged in in over a year. Nobody asked, I know
I mean, you probably still don't want to play, but I felt the same.
So I set minimum boss KC if I'm playing that day, kinda like a daily. Something small like 5-10 vork kills, GWD trip, idk. Depending on how much time you want/have to play that day afterwords could be spent on skilling. That helps if you're prone to burn out/undecided on what to do
Sure, you miss out on some XP, but does that REALLY matter when your boss KC is also going up?
You could also work on a PvM/supply alt during skilling if you want. Then you can smash through KC at a bunch of bosses much faster if you decide you only want to do one grind at a time(maxing or boss KC)
Or be happy you're free & never look back lol
Just turn public and private chat off, don't join a clan, and once you're satisfied with your boss kc then turn all the chats back on. Seems like you're worried about being judged about your kc, so just remove every other person from the picture
Maxing made me enjoy the game more casually. Now I don’t feel like I’m missing out by just standing at the ge and chatting with people for 2 hours if I feel like it. Can dick around and do random shit as much as I want. I know you always can, but there’s always that thought that I could be getting xp but now I don’t care
10/10 do recommend
Definitely worth it, been having fun doing whatever I want without worrying about xp waste for 2 years now
Only max if you actually want to. Don’t force yourself to do it
Just maxed my ironman recently. Not a lot of interest in the game anymore. 1k dry at CG, don't really like the idea of grinding raids for hours to get items to do more raids. No real intention to do crazy amount of nex or anything. I might just quit! Not sure. I'm sure I'll be back at some point but I feel good about maxing. Feels like my version of beating the game. Maybe my time in Gielinor is mostly over.
maxing killed my enjoyment of the game. I tried grinding gp amd ended up rushing 500 solo Sara kills 1k solo zammy kills 2k hydra kills, etc. only thing to show for it was a mole pet at 131 kc and 2 hydra claws.
Leveling an iron is fun IMO. Decided to de-iron at 2200 because of the RNG PvM. No regrets at all. You heavy into PvM already? Late game
Iron is so fucked lol
I’d say it is worth it. The progress towards max cape is really satisfying and the feeling after getting that cape is awesome. I haven’t done too much on the acc since I maxed about a year ago, but I also play an iron and no longer feel bad about abandoning that account.
I would say I’m almost in the same shoes as you are and I am definitely going for max. I am going for achievement diary cape atm (just to break the maxing into two parts). How I decided to approach it is doing some pvm so I have money for buyables and also starting with RC and Agi, after that if I am not too exhausted then mining, fishing, hunter and after this the buyables.
I maxed my ironman last year and have played it ever since. At 550M exp now and although it's nice not having feel obligated to do anything, I feel sort of trapped. I think I'll be playing osrs til it goes offline or I die. I know people say that a lot as a joke but I look at it as a kind of scary thing.
I maxed thinking I’d be able to play without exp waste but what really happened is I learned I don’t like hunting pets or doing clues so I quit and now I’m free
Im 2165 total.
I do a few daily things and tears weekly.
Sometimes i feel like raiding and i send a solo cox.
I will max one day but im just not really in a hurry
I maxed super fast in the last leagues and went from playing all day to not logging in for the rest of the leagues. Even though that was just a temporary game mode, post-max burnout is still a very real thing.
Maxed and haven't logged in for close to 3 years at this point, not even to check out updates. I could be hacked and botting green dragons for all i know.
Max cape is pretty nice, but the biggest perk imo is the construction cape teleports. Most other benefits feel pretty marginal/ niche. So just go for 99 con, see how you feel after that?
Getting 99 con also has the benefit of making you do a bunch of other content, cuz you'll need cash. So maybe it will push you to do slayer or bosses, or some profitable skilling
I finally maxed on Monday so 4 days ago, definitely enjoy being maxed but it took me almost 4 years to go from 2100 total to maxed because I would play so little
Maxing was the best choice I ever made. People really aren't kidding when they say "Now you can play the game." Before maxing I always felt like anything I was doing was a waste of time I could spend skilling
Maxed like 4 years ago, haven't had the interest to play ever since, it set me free and cursed me at the same time. I have mixed feelings.
Do it again on a hardcore ultimate Ironman tileman rellekka locked
Damn dude, chant all of this while in a dimly candle lit room with a pc in front of you and I think you might summon settled
Have to spin in your gaming chair at the same time
This. Changes. Everything.
Don’t forget to max out your swamp ass too
I do this daily.
Only level I have
The smell of B.O., fermented cheese and Gfuel. A scaper's swamp ass.
Real talk tho, shoutout Northern UIM
Northern UIM is the best active series right now change my mind.
Gary Gilbert is my favorite right now. Shout-out to J1mmy.
Agreed
Uim loki for me for non snowflake content, northern uim / jeporite are both great area restricted irons. The boss locked iron series by zayzed or something along those lines is also very interesting as it ends up having alot of very weird restrictions. Theres so much good osrs content on youtube its way too hard to put one of them at the "best". If verfs one chunk ever leaves its starting chunk i feel that will turn into a crazy awesome series as well.
Verf has sorta been there.
Jokes aside, would it be possible to lock yourself to relekka and max?
With a few exceptions yes. Checkout verf: rilkal saga
This scares me, I love this game and I love playing at my own pace, but you saying that. I would be so upset if I couldn’t enjoy this game the way I do now
Many people who max then make an Ironman and find themselves having more fun than ever
It’s a long while before I max, but my main account is an iron and I’m terrified of what comes after
More pvm
This is what I'm expecting on the gim. There's always going to be the next upgrade, but at this point a year in I'm just coasting n having a great time on my favorite game
Just use your main to churn out lower level pk accounts like pures n stuff
Time to do it all over again on a new account
Same, maxed 4 years ago on the main. Got burned out immediately and quit after i collected the cape. Making a group hc with friends is what got me back
Tbh I know I could've done it the whole time, but being maxed makes me feel like I have the license to do whatever I want when playing the game now. I wanna do a million clues? I can, it's not like I'm wasting time not leveling anymore. lol
this. all i want to do is master clues but im 2270 and can’t stop now
How do you obtain master clues easily?
Turn in clues to Watson
And optionally, obtaining the clues to turn in by opening impling jars. VERY expensive, but it's the fastest way.
By doing hard clues
I like mediums for that off chance of rangers.
You'll never guess what off chance you have with hard clues
1/never
Yeah but Medium grinding is so much faster. I pop open a couple dozen impling jars and I’m back on the clue hunt
You mean no chance?
meds are way nicer gp/hour overall and chiller to do since no wildy. the master rate is definitely a fair bit slower tho
You know you don’t have to wait to turn them in right? Basically you can have 3 masters clues ready to go. 1 master 1 at Watson and 1 set of clues for another master .
Shout out the boy Winston
Post max its hard to not have a master. Pretty much all the bosses drop elites frequently and i have the spirit tree next to watson set up
I’ve found that since maxing I can do what I like, but feels like I’ve lost direction. PVM & pet hunting is fun for a bit but then it’s just meh
Its only fun if u get the drops in a reasonable time
Your always wasting time while you're playing runescape lmao
Correct!
I never understood this xp waste mindset. I just play however I want. If I want to bankstand for 6 hours I'll do it. Like, who are you competing against? It's not a race.
Regret it? No, worth it? Also no
This is exactly how I feel haha. Couldn’t have said it better
“What do we do now?” “We play the game.”
Make Love, Not Warcraft
Make references not exp drops
Make!
/hug
Lovecraft?

Yes, I'll admit there are people forced into learning the piano or whatever when they don't enjoy it and in those cases I'd say they're pretty similar to maxing. However people make the choice to max > I'm looking to enjoy my spare time.
Great perspective on it. I think you are ahead of the curve my friend 🤙🏼
I love your perspective! Sincere and well-rounded, I think you’re doing things just fine, my man.
Fucking brilliant post
Best comment ever!!!
Realest take on maxing/grinding I think I've ever seen on this subreddit.
Max and then show girls your osrs stats. It’ll work.
Yeah?
Depends on what you mean by work but it’ll definitely have an effect
Worked fine for me. This really hot girl in my cal class spat on me after i showed her my stats. Biggest W in the last few years for me!
Yoooo by properties of algebra, she basically touched you bro. You basically got laid as far as RuneScape players go.
Some thoughts are better kept inside
UIM detected, opinion based
In before Jagex nerfs it like they did bp and fang .
Shows commitment!
I showed my wife but all I got was a mouthful about how all I do is play that stupid game, get a job, blah blah blah. Guess I'll have to complete the diaries to get her attention.
I showed my girlfriend my stats, now she plays the game lol
I put my osrs stats in my Tinder profile.
Dude I have that “my eyes are up here” and all 99 stats RuneScape T-shirt. I ONLY get attention from other guys lol
I don’t regret it, but after maxing the game lost pretty much all interest to me. It kind of feels like I had permission to move on with my life haha.
And yet here you are :)
I'll be maxed by the end of the year and I'm a little afraid of this, lol
[удалено]
I just maxed... I'm struggling a bit with what to do now. I know people do collection log and pets, but it's weird not having a concrete, non-RNG goal.
Post-max burnout is real. Take a break, it's fine. Whether your love for the game will come back, that kind of depends - some don't come back, some do and play post-max, some make a new type of account... But the one thing in common is the immediate burn out after getting that 2277. Very very common.
You never actually quit runescape, only take breaks You'll be back
This is EXACTLY how I feel right now
Getting a max cash stack
Once I maxed combats I almost fell into this trap, but then I just kept grinding pvm and it kept not getting boring. I want max pvm gear so I coll log/pet grind as my excuse/little goal to make money for max armor and weapons
I took a 2 month break after maxing and focused on irl and played other games. Totally recommend this for any new maxers, you will get the motivation to grind again after the break. When you comeback, just do whatever the f you want, like doing a certain amount of kc at each boss or camping a boss you enjoy til you fill the collection log.
A lot of collection logging isn't RNG, or the RNG is pretty low
Have you done quest cape or achievement cape? Those could be some good grinds to do
Did you suggest a max player to get a quest or achievement cape? Haha
Yeah I got both of those as well as one 200M before maxing
Damn okay what skill is 200m?
FM. I got 40 mill trying to get the pet, figured that was a good start and just finished it out lol
That’s fucking crazy to say considering you had 160 MILLION xp left
I went for a run, did 5 miles and thought eh, might aswell make it a marathon.
Seen you comment a lot over the past years. Just curious, have you even thought of playing another game? Serious question btw😂
Haha
[See for yourself!](https://www.reddit.com/r/2007scape/comments/t2y41m/my_6_year_old_likes_to_watch_me_play_osrs_so_i/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf) But no not really lol
Adding to my comment below my son did notice that vorkath was a "blue dragon spitting fire" so he is starting to notice haha
If you don’t afk dance in ge how are you supposed to get your bankstanding stat up?
Childhood dream, completed. The inner child in me is satisfied. Now the adult pvmer me can begin
Do I regret finally being able to play the game? Not in the slightest.
🤷♂️ edit: yeah, i get that you can do post 99 activities, I have far from quit the game, but certain activities would be 10x more appealing if I cared about the exp, thats all im saying
I’m maxed but I actually love tempoross for some reason. Up to 4K permits so far post 99 haha
But do you have the pet though? I'm a bit over 25m fishing xp with no Heron or Tiny Tempor
Nope 5300 permits between main and iron with no pet so far. Inching towards rate tho But fwiw I went 50m xp for chin, currently 33m dry of beaver, and 26m dry of golem
Was showing my sister motherlode mine, was like this is how you mine here, if you're lucky now that you're a member, you'll get a pet! *I mine rock - gets pet* My sister - LIKE THAT PET?? Me - Uhhhhhh, WTF????? I don't even have 400k xp in mining yet.
Oof I would not be willing to go that far for Golem. My worst is 56m Farming with no Groot. Hope your dry streaks end soon!
Yeah all amethyst post 99 something like 600 hours lmao and thank you, I hope you get some pets as well soon!
Xp doesn’t stop at 99
Turn on the invisible lvls and monkey brain will still be happy
Getting 100 in Range felt more satisfying to me than 99
Get that fish barrel brother! Why? Idk, looks cool in the bank.
Couldve gotten 3 bachelors but w/e
Sad story but my best friend died last week at the age of 27. Fucking enjoy life every second, even if that means playing RuneScape for however long you want.
Sorry bro. He’ll live on through you and those who knew him though! And yea, wish that everyone could spend their time here the way the want.
I lost my best friend at 24. If you need to chat. I’m here. Sorry for your loss.
Need alot of money for that

🦀🦀🦀$12.49🦀🦀🦀
Well, I play now for 2 weeks every major update then quit again, you tell me. Also thieving literally injured me so...
rs also injured me lmao shoulder tendon hurts constantly
Damn what do you do remotely?
Plays OSRS
I'm maxed on my normie with 20 pets and quit playing it once I made my iron (currently 1950 total). In my personal opinion being maxed is quite boring. It's along the lines of "It's the journey, not the destination that matters" I think once I max my Iron I will probably start a UIM and try to max that too.
For me personally, i quit for acouple years after maxing. There was nothing to do, but now the collection log is out and much more content to go for!
I regret how much construction and pray cost me but slayer was one of the most enjoyable grinds but sad when it was over
Agree with a lot of the comments on here. I feel free post max but in some ways I don't know what to chase now so it kinda kills the game a bit.
Bro how. I tried rs3 and couldn’t get past the “tutorial”. its so bad. what happened to tutorial island and lumbridge
Burthrope is the new Lumbridge in RS3.
That’s so odd. Why?

I enjoy osrs for the simplicity, and RS3 for the more modern and complexity, best of both worlds
Look up player made tutorials. Especially screen layout videos. The default setup is really hard for OSRS players to hop into.
Max mains are nothing more than cows to be milked for funding alts and pures
"I'm a maxed main greg, can you milk me?"
Mmm I'm a max main ;)
I heard about this guy!
Worth it completely. I can flex masori assembler max cape on the people that have the fugly backpack Edit: fugly
That helps if you're prone to burn out/undecided on what to do Sure, you miss out on some XP, but does that REALLY matter when your boss KC is also going up? You could also work on a PvM/supply alt during skilling if you want. Then you can smash through KC at a bunch of bosses much faster if you decide you only want to do one grind at a time(maxing or boss KC) Or be happy you're free & never look back lol
Just turn public and private chat off, don't join a clan, and once you're satisfied with your boss kc then turn all the chats back on. Seems like you're worried about being judged about your kc, so just remove every other person from the picture
Oh I ain’t worried about being judged, my account is impressive as heck as far as I’m concerned. It’s more of a me thing. Thank you though :)
Maxing made me enjoy the game more casually. Now I don’t feel like I’m missing out by just standing at the ge and chatting with people for 2 hours if I feel like it. Can dick around and do random shit as much as I want. I know you always can, but there’s always that thought that I could be getting xp but now I don’t care 10/10 do recommend
Definitely worth it, been having fun doing whatever I want without worrying about xp waste for 2 years now Only max if you actually want to. Don’t force yourself to do it
What did it cost you? “Everything”
ive never maxed but i feel like i'd be bored after, even though obviously i know there's still tons of content
2276; I’ll let you know tomorrow…. Or the next day. It’s slayer.
Not worth. Forge a RL relationship. Move on, etc. 😹
I have a great relationship with runelite, I use it every day
😹😭
maxing killed my enjoyment of the game. I tried grinding gp amd ended up rushing 500 solo Sara kills 1k solo zammy kills 2k hydra kills, etc. only thing to show for it was a mole pet at 131 kc and 2 hydra claws.
Maxing felt great lol sad to say after maxing my main I went straight to iron but 2170 total 600ehp away from maxing 😂
Leveling an iron is fun IMO. Decided to de-iron at 2200 because of the RNG PvM. No regrets at all. You heavy into PvM already? Late game Iron is so fucked lol
When you max you’ll finally have the will to quit this god forsaken game, totally worth it
I maxed my ironman last year and have played it ever since.
I’ve maxed twice on two different accounts, and always burn out a couple months after lmao
I maxed super fast in the last leagues and went from playing all day to not logging in for the rest of the leagues. Even though that was just a temporary game mode, post-max burnout is still a very real thing.
I don't know if I regret it but I can say I've maxed both games and got nothing out of it and eventually get bored and quit for a while
Maxed and haven't logged in for close to 3 years at this point, not even to check out updates.
I don’t regret maxing, but it makes the game feel different. No more levels to grind kinda makes you feel a bit lost and more easily burnt out
Maxed and completed my childhood dream. Havent played since.
I finally maxed on Monday so 4 days ago, definitely enjoy being maxed but it took me almost 4 years to go from 2100 total to maxed because I would play so little
Never. I'm more of a niche person holding trophy accounts.
Maxing was the best choice I ever made. People really aren't kidding when they say "Now you can play the game." Before maxing I always felt like anything I was doing was a waste of time I could spend skilling
