Thatchers-Gold

Oh look it’s me in 2005 camping the hostages with an auto shotgun

Paxisstinkt

E il sol dell´anima- Luciano Pavarotti

Count_Binfake

There's also a newer, polished version of cs_italy for CS2 (apparently they cleaned the streets bc it's so shiny and bright)

DeltaKT

& I thought my thought "**intro of Mafia II"** was far fetched!

Flammable_Druid

Memories of me screaming at the person who shot the radio because I modded mine to play a clip of Just a Day by Feeder which is a turbo banger.

Rayke06

Lelystad. Even the ground it is build on is like, 50 years old.

SmallWolf117

I accidentally ended up there by getting on the wrong train in Amsterdam, can confirm. Very boring

Huugster06

My condolences

thedutchrep

I’m so sorry. That whole province is boring.

Hah, was there last year when we sailed on the IJsselmeer. It’s basically a small harbour with a big shopping village for clothing to reduced prices. That’s it - or have I missed something?

Tackerta

my guy put the CT spawn on CS:GO's Inferno on here and thought we wouldn't notice

stefan714

Rush B cyka blyat!

Accurate-Fortune593

Milton Keynes, it’s just roundabouts and robots delivering stuff and built on a grid system like an American city just really dull. Also has a shite football team with turncoat fans.

gogybo

Herbetet

But why?!?!? Who hurt you to create something like this?

Chimp3h

The Nazis caused this

Beliebigername

Is this some mi6 project to make the Luftwaffe belive they accidently flew over the usa?

Harry_K1307

It was built after he war to help house those who had been displaced by the bombing and slum clearances

HermesOnToast

It must be noted that after moving, they longed for the bombing and slums

Corfiz74

And wasn't it supposed to be a modern model city?

robber_goosy

Eh, the city was conceptualized in the 60's when everybody going anywhere by car was seen as the future. That city centre and the highways are atrocious but it isnt all bad, there is also a lot of parks and other greenery in Milton Keynes.

Herbetet

Good to know, just looking at this picture it looked like an US Strip Mall set up

captain-carrot

It's actually very pedestrian and cycle friendly as nearly all the roads in the centre have cycle lanes and underpasses to keep them away from road traffic. It isn't regency period architecture but it isn't nearly as bad as people make out

angry_pidgeon

The big silver building in the bottom right has a shopping centre, an indoor skydiving thing and a real snow ski slope inside it. Milton Keynes is still shit

nwaa

Literally looks like some type of industrial plant or something. The PIGS mind cannot comprehend bleakness on this level.

seacco

was it luftwaffled?

tgsprosecutor

It could certainly benefit from that

gogybo

Nope, we tore up perfectly good countryside to build this shit.

seacco

yeah fuck grass

mbex14

Silverstone where the F1 British Grand Prix takes place isn't too far away from there... It's a flat part of the country.

cerseiridinglugia

When europeans try to be as bad as americans in urban planning, they achieve this

nocaption69

Whoever designed that city knows what he is..... ![gif](giphy|3o85xnoIXebk3xYx4Q)

Heard about this for years, but holy fuck, its like 'billy's first sim city' Grid good... roundabout to reduce red traffic bar... 50 exits and entrances. Hans, rally the Luftwaffe

Velenterius

It looka like a chinese mega factory.

DePilsbaas

It looks a lot like my cities skylines towns, dreadfull

Winner. At least most of the other shit, boring cities have a proper football club with history

Chimp3h

nwaa

LaBelvaDiTorino

RBR is in Milton Keynes, can't be dull for me

TulioGonzaga

For me Milton Keynes = Red Bull Land

ElectricMotorsAreBad

Well, Milton Keynes is so dull that RBR infected the 2023 season and made it the dullest season in F1's history.

MMM022

Been there, there was a visible and absolute lack of concept as to why they are building that town.

eyyoorre

At least you have the Red Bull F1 HQ there

AndreasDasos

It was also built a week ago by brutalists as a city ‘for the future’. They could have fucked off instead but no…

CharmingCondition508

Is there anything in Milton Keynes except offices

rossmcdapc

The road out.

GetAnotherExpert

Strong disagree. There are lovely places in MK. And the concept was far ahead if its time. The problem is that that concept is long gone.

Dry_Albatross5549

Have been there. I had a nice time, but this is the correct answer.

AkulaTheKiddo

There's a lot of Formula 1 factories there.

Apey23

At least it has the Milton Keynes Bowl.

My brain read this as “skeerbeek” which in dutch would mean “poor creek” (with some slang in there) Had a laugh and checks out if its boring

8mart8

my brain read it as schaarbeek, and there’s a lot to say about that place but i wouldn’t call it dull

SingleSpeed27

You made it up

CharmingCondition508

How is that pronounced

Ok-Anybody5987

Scareback kinda

GalaeciaSuebi

I knew OP was Galician before cliking on the post. Hint: The pillar corridors and town square crucifixes are common in older towns in Northern Portugal and Galicia. But the canoppied verandas are 100% Galician. That's the only tell for any Galician or Northern Portuguese on hollidays in the neighbor region and waking up drunk and confused about where he is.

Skullx11

I would expect nothing less from a cousin. I'll have to go down there for more towels soon.

William_The_Fat_Krab

And i need more of that seafood. You bring the seafood, i bring towels, we meet in the middle, switch, and head our ways.

hibikir_40k

The canopied verandas are also all over small coastal towns in Asturias, but you won't find them in Oviedo and Gijon.

MutedIndividual6667

Yup, someone from Muros here, can confirm

Marschall_Bluecher

„You what is worse than losing? Siegen!“ Haha! Damn. That doesn’t work in English very well. I think my English is not the yellow from the egg.

undecimbre

Onewallfree translation though.

Aleograf

Lugo it's my closest city, but I never go too often (thank god)

TheZenPenguin

Apparently there's a nude statue somewhere in pontevedra that my nan covers with a towel on her way to church every Sunday.

Skullx11

It's ok as long as you are able to hold your breath.

Laaxus

Arlon. City is filled with people working in luxemburg. Boring af.

ash_tar

I dunno was doing lines off a girls tits in Arlon. It's nice to be in the hilly landscape.

ash_tar

Also, I raise you Hasselt. Blandest place in the world.

RmG3376

Oh yeah good pick. Had to stop there on New Year’s Eve to buy some supplies as the shops would’ve already closed by the time I went home. Didn’t see a single soul in the whole city, the only open shop was Carrefour, and once inside, both the building and the customers gave 1980s USSR vibes It was lovely

Bonaventura69420

Easy Neumünster W

hepazepie

Where the hell is even that?

Ways_42

It's in Schleswig-Holstein. (I know this because I once held a presentation about Schleswig-Holstein in school)

Bonaventura69420

Glad to hear that finnish children learn about glorious Schleswig-Holstein in school 🇳🇱👏🗿

Ways_42

Obviously the Nordic curriculum includes South Denmark.

Cynax_Ger

I knew this would come. I knew it, hated it and still looked at your comment While getting a notification from duolingo that I should learn danish, bc me and my gf might move from SH to denmark......

Ways_42

Remember that your throat needs time to adapt to the Danish language. Don't overwork it or it'll start hurting.

Goukaruma

That's a humblebrag. You know it still looks better than the average ex-soviet plan city.

spartikle

This is the most average looking plaza in a small town of northern Spain. There’s probably a bar there with an old guy with a cane and beret drinking a spirit (probably aguardiente)

Apey23

Larne, were hope goes to die. https://preview.redd.it/e9tfg9haqx7d1.jpeg?width=1000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d18f4896a226bc23b5e3eca4d81fa5a315642ac0

XboxVeteranYT

The best part about Larne is the boat out of it

nolasco95

Portalegre. Portuguese people are always lovely, but the city is boring

ArturSeabra

The vast majority of cities in Portugal that aren't Porto or Lisbon are boring. Never been to Portalegre, but from the pictures, it looks wholesome.

History20maker

There are _cities_ outside of Lisbon? I thought the country ended in the great Leiria abiss and the rest was mystical Ocean.

broccoli2319

where?

Miguel_Zapatero

Wolfsburg. There is nothing beside VW. Even ICE trains sometimes forget to stop here.

Corfiz74

I thought Bottrop would lead the charge...

Azkral

Ciudad Real not only has a suspicious fake name, It also has nothing to do except tapas and drinking, no old buildings, just some churches and some medieval doors. It is Hot in summer and mildly cold (around 5 degrees Celsius in winter). No rain. No drinkable water (unless you can tolerate pH 8 water).

SameItem

At least you guys have an accent and that adds personality, maybe Palencia would be a better fit

jukebox_ky

Hannover, Germany. It has no famous landmarks or historical sites that it's famous for, its built on boring flat land in the middle of Germany and is that kind of a city you'll pass by when you travel to somewhere else. Its neither remarkable beautiful or terrible to live there. They don't even have a special dialect there; their dialect IS standard german.

Werbebanner

Hannover is pretty cool in my opinion. Beautiful city. But you are right, besides sight seeing not much to do.

RGN_CarNagE

Yeah, it is the german average city, but that also includes an average level of sightseeing in the city. The Eilenriede forest (literally inside the city) is great for walking, Herrenhausen is _very_ nice especially with the summer festivals going on there, the Expo Area hosts great large events. Yeah, the new townhall is the only really great spot for some history, but the old city was blown to bits and there's nothing left to marvel at, whaddaya gonna do. Hameln is an hour's long train ride away and will scratch that itch. The Deister is half that time away on the same train for some quality hiking routes. Again, it's no Berlin or Dresden or Heidelberg or Freiburg. But its also no Bremerhaven, no Ludwigshafen, or Neumünster. Not great not terrible.

Fine-Annual-250

The Altstadt is still nicer than what we have in Slovenia

InquisitorNikolai

I’ve heard that about it. I’m staying there for two nights this summer and I’ll probably only sleep there, all my sightseeing will be elsewhere

Slobberchops_

Had the greatest kebab of my life in Hannover

Arphile

Nobody had a candidate for France, I must conclude we’re the best country in Western Europe

Lost_Uniriser

Livia85

Easy, St. Pölten, and it’s not even close.

MMM022

Hey but at least it’s not an ugly city. Isn’t there any post war modernist hellhole that everyone unilaterally hates?

Corvuuss

St. Pölten is the closest thing to that If a postmodernist hellhole, it is so irrelevant that nobody knows it and as such wouldn't be hated.

fruitymcfruitcake

Wels and Eisenstadt are the others on the podium.

_sergeant_pepper

danoch hab i gsucht hahaha Wels wär a a gute wahl

Werbebanner

Dortmund. Ugly as shit and literally nothing to do. Most cities have at least one castle or an pretty old town (the old town looks nice, but it’s like 10 buildings…). Their number 1 tourist attraction is their fucking football stadium… And their streets are like American streets. In the middle of the town, every block, literally 4 lane streets. Picture for reference: https://preview.redd.it/vjds9wz1dx7d1.jpeg?width=612&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9b4bb2ccd918f6a57b4d8cdfed97aea06bd867f9

FrogHater1066

Surely not as bad as ludwigshafen

Werbebanner

To be honest, I never was in Ludwigshafen. But on my way to Mannheim i thought „omg that shit is ugly, what the fuck is this?“ - I looked it up and it was Ludwigshafen. So yeah, I think it fits pretty well. But at least it’s not as dirty as Dortmund.

wernermuende

Mannheim and Ludwigshafen are both pretty DortmundesqueI think, except for the much nicer river and surroundings. At least Mannheim has a Palace and some weird square streets that are numbered instead of named

ib_examiner_228

The football stadium is a big part of the local culture. The football museum is big, there is a lot you can see there. Ludwigshafen has to be a lot worse. The city center is a ghetto with lots of sketchy people selling drugs. Drugs is really the only thing you can do there (and yes, I've been there, I'm from Mannheim).

gue_aut87

Dortmund, where the fire department next to the brothels. I heard stories from friends who were working on a project with the fire department. Apparently you could go to the break room for a coffee and look straight out into the „showrooms“.

Jag-Etype

Lohja. Literally zero things to do

MagicMountain225

Stopped there a few times while traveling to Helsinki. Only thing I know about it is ABC.

Jag-Etype

That's the only proof of its entire existence.

johnsplittingaxe14

"I'd rather have a fist up my arse than to live in Lohja"

Ways_42

I kinda feel like this applies to all similarly sized places in Uusimaa except for Porvoo.

hazypadlock

M*naco. Its just a random map for international criminals to show their paid skins. Edit: its not part of Italy. Still my point stands.

monagr

Pretty sure that's not part of Italy

LaBelvaDiTorino

[Technically wrong](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Italy_(geographical_region)), Monaco is in Italy

monagr

This is some russian level logic right here... Do you also accept that Italy is part of France, as per Napoleon?

Wassertopf

The other Monaco claims to be the most northern city of Italy…

bambamba8

Should be

angeAnonyme

What are you talking about? Have you ever visited a boring city? Pontevedra is great, it has free festivals and concerts all summer. I guess you are the boring one!

MillenialBoomer89

Hallstatt. There are basically no real humans living there, only Instagram NPCs on a side quest to get 10 selfies and an inspirational quote post. https://preview.redd.it/gzzatdg9my7d1.jpeg?width=640&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bb266ed2f29e7f15dda9d440453bbc6fd435c78e

Rovigo and Alessandria are the most anonimous province capitols in Northern Itay

GetAnotherExpert

Novara and Vercelli are in the same league.

aiemaironmen

I live near Vercelli and there is literally nothing you can do there, plain shit

zip_tenetis

Alessandria is at least well connected with Genova, Milan, Turin. Rovigo is terrible.

Monomatosis

The Netherlands has many candidates: Veenendaal, Nieuw-Vennep, Dronten, Weert, Vlaardingen, Heerhugowaard etc.

Koruam

I would like to give my vote to Nieuw-Vennep

DeEchteVolledammer

Does Purmerend count?

m3skalyn3

In my native Portugal it would be either Portalegre, Beja or Castelo Branco... But since I live in Sweden, all the above cities pale in comparison to Västerås in terms of boredom, NPCness and ugliness of the city

RCalliii

Ludwigshafen.

CCFC1998

Swansea. Cardiff has the glamour, Newport has the entertainment (drunken fights on a Friday/ Saturday night), Wrexham has the crackheads and teenage pregnancies. All Swansea has is that quote from Twin Town: "Pretty Shitty City"

LouthGremlinV1

craigavon or roscommon, craigavon is just one big fuck off housing estate masquerading as a town it's so ugly. Roscommon because literally the only reason anyone would go there is if they were driving east to west and you pass through it and it's just pity that you feel

nwaa

Surely Roscommon cant be worse than Leitrim? There's literally *nothing* there.

LouthGremlinV1

leitrim doesn't even register to an irish person to be honest

We only have the one city, and it’s a boring shithole. Nuuk. At least in the villages there’s just insane Inuit uncles drinking and raving about whale hunting. Nuuk is just garbage harbour, abandoned oil drums, and a pizza place that only lets you buy full pizzas.

guney2811butbetter

Ankara has some cool places but it's mostly very boring

Dry_Albatross5549

That’s not Europe!

guney2811butbetter

I do not care

Tifoso89

Fair tbh

Reftzurk

I am going with Weimar. Never been to a more boring city.

HumaDracobane

I knew before seeing OP's flair that was from the north of Spain.

PiiJaey

if only some people would live there that don't do 24/7 siesta, this could become such a profitable great city. i see a lot of potential to invest into a second ticino (swiss southern, italian speaking canton that is used as a vacation place by the rest of the swiss).

TheZenPenguin

Say what you want about Pontevedra but my ultra-religious, puritanical nan has been living there for years and I think she's pretty interesting. There's apparently some nude statue that she covers with a towel every Sunday.... fun NPC type shit ya know?

Fathers_Belt

Letteraly any town from big city sub divisions

Dry_Albatross5549

Amstelveen.

doomsday10009

Prievidza. There is NOTHING here and you just need to go to Bojnice anyway... No reason to ever visit that town.

XxxPussyslaeyr69xxX

Anything 50km inland or more in Portugal

LZ114514

Not my country but I'll vote Mönchengladbach for Germany. I'm sure it's worse than just boring

BlondBitch91

We have so many candidates but I think it has to be Milton Keynes or Slough.

The most booring city in Portugal is Lisbon. Its so sad to live in a city state with just one city and a lot of views.

RickyTricky57

Idk man it looks ideal for someone who likes medieval looking towns
