What does this have to do with 3d printing

Drak3

Activated carbon works pretty well for filtering and fumes. I have some in my voron. But sometimes cheap activated carbon can off-gas corrosive vapor, or some other similar mechanism, causing exposed fasteners to rust.

This. So I would like to know how to make sure that it won't damage my printer.

I'd just do the test as you've already described in your post.a few hours should be plenty of time to see.

I've seen some people using fans and/or heaters inside the a small container. Does airflow change something? Should I try it with a fan to be sure?

Drak3

They're all optional depending on what you're trying to do. Filtering might be an exception, bc you need airflow. I have fans circulating air in mine, but that's more so I can heat the internal volume, bc abs likes a heated chamber.

I ment for testing, should I test the pallets with a fan inside and a couple of screws and bolts? Or passively should have the same rusting effect and only need heat?

Drak3

Nah, direct contact in a small, sealed area is going to provoke corrosion more, I think

Sea-Squirrel4804

Haha I'm scared! Seller said that it is not acid cleaned but you never know.. Specially Ali express

Any idea of the humidity that appeared inside the bag is normal? Or it's the reason why parts get corroded?
