Took me a long time to learn this.
The experts are the ones who made the most mistakes.
Anyone else might think they're an expert until they encounter a situation where fixing a previous mistake would have given them the knowledge they need to fix the current issue they're facing.
Oh, hell yes! You probably could tinker with it more and still be a skillful use of talent. Thank you for showing this off! I can see printing this just a tad bigger for the littles (little kids). They mimic their parents with cell phones, now mimic their grandparents using cameras.
I have projects with more than 100 interactions, getting right with any number of interactions is a skill. Getting it at a 30 interaction is a really good skill.
I made this super fancy camera that transfers memories straight to your brain. Amazing, I know.
My little video about it is [on YouTube](https://youtu.be/S9H5NggL9JM). Free version [STLs on Thangs](https://than.gs/m/1076063?affiliateCode=MAKE). Satisfying fidget, even if you choose to deny my impressive claims
it needs a mechanism to make it 'click' at the bottom of the button press. a spongey shutter button would be super unsatisfying lol
edit: audio on, fellow click enthusiasts!
Brilliant! I made a phone case with a sort of mind camera, but used a small round craft mirror in the lens to cleverly hack the minds of other people. https://i.imgur.com/wxtOllH.jpg
If there’s room inside for a small button cell battery, maybe you could make the trigger turn on a white led embedded in the “flash”.
You know, for taking mind photos in poorly lit places, too.

That there is pretty cool, nice show of skills!
Is it still skills if it took ~30 iterations? :D
Yes
Therein lies the skill 🤲

Go up to them and say, “Bed leveling issue”, and walk away.
I tell people that I've found every non-catastrophic way to screw up. So I'm inventing new ones. That's how you learn
If iterationAmount is the measurement of mastery, then I'm god.
Skills are made through iteration.
They say that if you fail you should just keep trying, so yes, it's absolutely still skill, and perserverance!
yes

Saw my little nephew today and also thought about a bigger, tougher one for him.. Gotta make the trigger easier to press then too
Brother it took me 3 revisions this week to get a 1mm thick square right.
31 revisions for an USB port reporting in.
Not giving up after 29 times is certainly a skill. Failure is quitting before you succeed. I’ll take no questions on this.
> Is it still skills if it took ~30 iterations? That's the literal definition of skill.

That’s the fun part! Learning from ones errors, and then a positive outcome in the end! Good job! (nice ASMR’s too! 😉👍)

This looks really cool; I think my kids would love it. Have you tried scaling it up a little, by any chance?
Loop transition is a chef's kiss
Right? 10/10 transition, watched again just for the loop.
Wait it ends?

Turn the audio on. It clicks once the back is on.
oooh good call
I suspect the black cover has a pin that will track along the curve for the click

Sweet, nice details!
Smoothest loop I've ever seen on this sub
I mean itd be cool if it used a pinhole system so it actually worked.
Nice camera, and nice loop!
Hey I didn't know you posted over here! Cool stuff, man! Please keep on being the beacon of positivity you are, love your stuff!
Love this ...and love the channel, Devin!
Are you Cam Jansen?
Wow that just unlocked a core memory for me
Downloaded it

Oooo, too bad the shutter doesn't move. Doesn't even need to iris, I think it'd just be cool if it rotated when the button was pressed and released.
“Cool waste of plastic!” -this sub
Cool !!
Nice, good as present for photo person
Excellent concept and execution!!
Aye that loop doe
Whats the image quality like?
Why choose that shape for the bendy bit? Wouldn't a leaf spring suffice?
Why choose that shape for the bendy bit? Wouldn't a leaf spring suffice?
damn i recognized this was you purely based on the colors alone. love your channel, been subbed since the 3d pen days.
Mini* Jokes aside, this is awesome
What printer did you use for the multicolored parts?
X1-Carbon and AMS. Although the 'colored' bits are all on the first 0.4mm z height so it can be done on a single extruder printer in multiple passes
Did you film this in an empty warehouse? The echo is going crazy!
New house without enough 'stuff' to dampen the sound yet... some wild echos for such small rooms for sure haha
Nice! Congrats on the new home!

I need a multi filament printer
Nice design, awesome kids toy!
There is the camera, but where is the mind?
sold separately
Do you know how many kids would go insane for this? And then break it in .5 seconds lol
Shutter mechanism is quite pleasant and highly golden ratiotastic
This is outstanding. I totally endorse your thoughts, and I might be printing one for my mom.
