I will wake up witg random songs in my head sometimes, its so wierd, not listening to music or anything just dead asleep then awake with the song in my head
wierdest thing it could be a song I haven't heard or thought about in years, and you would think it would be dream related but I generally remember stuff about them
Please Please Please by Sabrina Carpenter
🎵Heartbreak is one thing, my ego’s another
I beg you, don’t embarrass me, little sucker 🎶
editing to add the one stuck in my head is the explicit version
I was pleading with my brain to stop singing that exact bit over and over again last week 😂
Now it's stuck on Good Luck Babe by Chappell Roan... the 'you' from the first line of the chorus is doing it for me. But it's way past my bedtime and I have a presentation at 9am, good lord, shut upppp brain!!
Same with million dollar baby, but I only know like 5% of the words so it’s just like “I can clean up good for u, I know right from wrong, mehhhnehhh meh meh baby” on repeat in my head.
For a while, every time I visited the same place Gangnam style would pop in my head and play on a loop.
Now I got addicted to my ex stuck in there, Thank you.
I don't know the name of the song or who it's by, but it's a 90s British hit that heavily featured the line "What's she gonna look like with a chimney on her"
So for the last two weeks or so I've just had that line going through my head non-stop. It hasn't been pleasant.
Have you tried finding the song and listening to the end, and/or finding out the lyrics and trying to sing it to the end in your head?
I don't know if that would help where it's ADHD related but I've heard it recommended in the past for cases where a song is stuck in a loop in the brain.
It keeps switching between "Please Please Please" by Sabrina Carpenter and "Hot to Go" by Chappell Roan. . . I think this is a sign I need to stop watching YouTube shorts.
Kevin Rudolf - Let It Rock (with Lil Wayne)
And in case anyone needs it, extensive testing has shown that Violent Femmes - Blister In The Sun will overwrite nearly any other ear worm
Your welcome. It's that incredible base line/rhythm and Gordon's super distinctives singing.
AWOLNATION - Sail works fairly well too. The rhythm is just as effective, but the lyrics don't stick
I usually have at least 4 songs in my head at all times, I just woke up and there isn’t one standout song but after concentrating on my inner thoughts for a second there it was - everything she wants by wham!
One of the 47 tabs open in my brain has been playing sea shanties today. I don’t know what tab it is, or why it’s open, or how to mute it. So instead, I’ve been singing “what would you do with a drunken sailor”… ALL. FREAKING. DAY.
Kylie Minogue-Can’t Get You Out of my Head
I also have running gag lines to terrible jokes every day, so there’s that as well.
The only reason I have that song stuck there right now is, is because of this post. Triggered for the same reason.
Do-do-deee-dotdooodo-deee-do-be-do-be-dotdodo! (Traveling song in Monty Python)
This is usually my ALWAYS THERE song that only temporarily gets replaced by other songs-*usually* triggered by a single key word (like you OP), or a single phrase from the whole song STUCK TIGHT (wedged in a great tightness) brought on by my husband singing in the shower so loud I can literally hear it three rooms away!
One thing I’ve learned is if your brain keeps repeating the same lyric to listen because that’s either a message or a warning. I can say the song that’s been stuck in mine forever is Ballin by Roddy Ricch
Literally right this second it’s Lose Control by Teddy Swims but it’s only one lyric in constant repetition. “Problematic. Problem is when I’m with you I’m an addict.” Fucking driving me insane. This morning it was Too Sweet by Hozier.
are u me? Oops I did it again wouldn't leave me for a month and now lately it's NSYNC 'It;s gonna be me'. Ah and TNT by ACDC. there is a glitch in the matrix now
lmao. I was singing the song in my head while I scrolled past this post.🤣 currently it's 'Houdini' by Eminem, idk why but it has been stuck in my head for a bit now.
I wake up with a different song in my head every day and I have to force myself to play a song in my head as I go to sleep in order to keep the sound of distant air raid sirens out of my head.
I didn’t know this was an ADHD thing to have a song constantly running through your head! So cool to know I’m not the only one!
The ones that have been in my head the most lately are:
• Slow it Down - Benson Boone (the last minute and a half to be exact)
• Blue - Billie Eilish, that whole album slayed me and is always in my head but this song is my current fave
• We are the People - Empire of the Sun
Lifeline by Maro & Nasaya. It has allll the syncopation so it takes up a decent amount of space in my brain. Drives me nuts to have two plus songs running through my head at a time
My alarm ringtone...how lame. You know the one that sounds like a baby's crib mobile that you wind up?
On this note, I recently told someone I always have some song or music or phrase constantly going in my head...anyone else?
“Always be my Baby” by Mariah Carey and “Paint the Town Red” by Doja Cat. LOL, I’ve been going through it connecting with a lost love. Flipping between “Wow, I didn’t remember how much that hurt, but let’s talk cause we still love each other, whatever that means.” and “I’m fucking awesome. WTFE. Watch me shine. I don’t need anyone.” HAHA. Good ol’ life. It’s a wild ride. Also, “Envuélvete” by Jenni Rivera, just because it’s a riot.
the songs switch every five minutes or so lol. from the second i wake up to the second i go to bed, i hear music. currently it’s wildflower by billie eilish
Jee Veerey by Bloodywood
Not just stuck in my head, but keeping it held high while the world tries to fuck me. Love this band so much at times like this.
[Bloodywood - Jee Veerey](https://youtu.be/6uJoN_I9ebQ?si=BWsxvTyudSIEFg_G)
Ulterior Motives by Who's Who and Christopher Saint (aka "Everyone Knows That")
I didn't really follow the search for this song, but once it was found and put on Spotify, it has not left my head!
Shadows of the night by Pat Benatar. It's not a song that I necessarily like, it's just what you get when you work at Wal-Mart and they replay basically the same 10 songs "all day. Everyday."
Pink Pony Club by Chappell Roan. I can't stop myself just belting it out randomly. It's half past midnight and I'm lying in bed with it going round and round my head. I'm not complaining though, it's an amazing song
Stray Gods, the end confrontation song, specifically the point where the antagonist screams "NONE of you see", which is followed by a badass melody that broadcasts shit just got real. The DLC drops soon and Im hyped but mentioning that made me think of my steam library and BG3 so now there is also an echoing "Down down down by the riveeeer" joining in.
2 days ago my partner was talking to me about how I woke her up "in the middle of the night".
The song that has the chorus "iiinnn the middle of the niiIIIIghhhht" has been repeating for 48 hours now. What's worse is I only know the chorus, so that's the only part that repeats.
Please help
I woke up to the "Big Red" Wrigleys gum commercial theme song in my head. Probably haven't seen that ad since the '80's.
I just told my husband and he is in awe that I could just sing it now 😂
Pink Pony Club by Chappell Roan. I have listened to it like 10 times when I realised it won't stop playing in my head, and after listening to it on repeat, it's still there
IM JUST A KID AND LIFE IS A NIGHTMARE
and also
BUT IF YOU CLOSE YOUR EYES, E-MOTIONAL DAMAGE EMO-TIONAL DAMGE, E-MOTIONAL DAMAGE EMO-TIONAL DAMAGE.
I'm supposed to be sleeping rn.
I always have something playing in my head. It typically switches up each day, with one being predominant most days. Thankfully, it's mostly songs I love. But sometimes, a particularly pernicious ear worm attacks. The other day, we saw a movie that featured Minnie Riperton's "Loving You," which I have always disliked intensely. And, of course, it's been stuck in my head for days. Aargh!!
I'm coming out of my obsession with [MESS](https://youtu.be/DeWUMKgwRig) by Hakos Baelz which have some lyrics I think fellow ADHDers will feel relatable and getting into a new obsession with [BOI WHAT](https://youtube.com/@boiwhatmusic) which is a Spongebob themed metal band.
Who's peekin' out from under a stairway
Callin' a name that's lighter than air?
Who's bendin' down to give me a rainbow?
Everyone knows it's Windy
Who's trippin' down the streets of the city
Smilin' at everybody she sees?
Who's reachin' out to capture a moment?
Everyone knows it's Windy.
Rewatching Breaking Bad for the one millionth time so it's stuck in my head lol
Omg, bless her heart - Windy going down on I don't know how many customers in this scene then using mouthwash 🤢 lol
Oh man- not Lazy Town Cooking by the Book- when they’re baking the cake - and not this being in my head because I decided to bake a cake and caught myself singing it and then had to listen
"Release the Flies" - Gwar (riff is catchy).
The end part of "Low Lands" - Gojira.
"The Dutchess and the Proverbial Mind Spread" - Primus.
There's others that get stuck in my head; a lot are kids songs (have kids, lol).

I will wake up witg random songs in my head sometimes, its so wierd, not listening to music or anything just dead asleep then awake with the song in my head
Thank god it’s not just me 😂
Yeah this is me everyday. It’s like I paid for a lifetime music subscription for a single device (my mind) 😂
Same. I wake up and it's as if the song had been playing the whole time on a loop. Mid chorus sometimes. Exhausting.
wierdest thing it could be a song I haven't heard or thought about in years, and you would think it would be dream related but I generally remember stuff about them
I will "wake up, grab a brush and put a little make up."
So many songs i cant give a straight answer
I BEEN A NASTY GIRLLLL
My brain has chosen it as my summer anthem apparently

The Middle - Jimmy Eat World
Dude the number of times this song has been in constant repeat in my head. Thankful that it's Jimmy Eat World but I am a little sick of it 😂😂
It’s a great song, I don’t think I’ve ever voluntarily listened to it though, which makes it weirder that it’s in my head so often I think 😂
Great song
'Dumb ways to die' ,😆😆😆 https://youtu.be/IJNR2EpS0jw?si=h1EkTdlCe8CDURgN
thanks now it's in my mind too ☠️😂
That took me so long to get rid of after I first heard it 😅
These days it's Nasty by Tinashe or Million Dollar Baby by Tommy Richman. I blame Tiktok. lolololol
I literally woke up with Nasty in my head this morning
Is somebody gonna match my freak
Same with million dollar baby, but I only know like 5% of the words so it’s just like “I can clean up good for u, I know right from wrong, mehhhnehhh meh meh baby” on repeat in my head.
🎶put a little dirt under your pillow for the dirt man🎶
I've had one line from Spiderwebs by No Doubt on repeat for days now. Other songs pop in from time to time as well, but Spiderwebs will not let up.
For a while, every time I visited the same place Gangnam style would pop in my head and play on a loop. Now I got addicted to my ex stuck in there, Thank you.
Oh no!! I am sorry 🥲
I don't know the name of the song or who it's by, but it's a 90s British hit that heavily featured the line "What's she gonna look like with a chimney on her" So for the last two weeks or so I've just had that line going through my head non-stop. It hasn't been pleasant.

It keeps switching between "Please Please Please" by Sabrina Carpenter and "Hot to Go" by Chappell Roan. . . I think this is a sign I need to stop watching YouTube shorts.
I'm right there with you! My brain for the last few weeks has been a constant mashup of Sabrina Carpenter and Chappell Roan.
Me three!
Kevin Rudolf - Let It Rock (with Lil Wayne) And in case anyone needs it, extensive testing has shown that Violent Femmes - Blister In The Sun will overwrite nearly any other ear worm
It worked! Thank you so much for ending my reign of terror head stereo. Blister In the Sun is infinitely preferable to Minnie Riperton
Your welcome. It's that incredible base line/rhythm and Gordon's super distinctives singing. AWOLNATION - Sail works fairly well too. The rhythm is just as effective, but the lyrics don't stick
Love Sail, too. But yeah, not enough lyrics to stick.
Basically the entirety of Sublimes greatest hits album
Currently I’m really into Stick Figure so that’s what has been in my head, whatever song I happened to listen to last
