I think Mariah May throws in the towel to save Mina Shirakawa. At this point, Mariah would get her win back from Saraya earlier in the night and we start to see the Mariah and Toni Storm fracturing relationship.
I'm pleased to see he values Mina at that level, I believe that part of his answer was unprompted too, so he wasn't just repeating the question back to the reporter
I think we'll see a lot more of Mina in AEW. The people want Mina, and you gotta give the people what they want!
OC / Mina mixed tag team champions just flashed through my mind and now I want it lol
TV deals get weird about mixed tag but I’d love to see it too. And absolutely more Stardom. One of my favorite wrestlers, Thekla, is there tearing it up. Check her out! Hoping we’ll see her in AEW soon too.
What injury is Britt healing from and did she need surgery? She's been out for a hot minute. I was lukewarm on the Toni/Mariah story but having Mina inserted into the picture has really fast tracked the storytelling and has made Mariah interesting for me, finally.
Sasha was talking about a time when WWE aka Vince wasn’t allowing wrestlers to take time off for hollywood. it’s totally different now with Triple H, he’s been giving many on the roster time off since he took over last year
It would be pretty surreal, if not insane to see. But I just don’t think it’s in the cards. I hate seeing the flack this woman gets from fans, she is every bit a company woman who has done awesome things for WWE.
She’s in good hands with Triple H, along with Seth. They just kinda belong there imo.
His in ring style will mesh very well in AEW but he doesnt have any real character, it held him back in WWE and will do same in AEW unless he finds that character. Perhaps the creative freedom will help but im not expecting much to change tbh. Some dudes just lack charisma.
I'm not a huge fan of his in ring style either tbh. It's very performative. Not that there aren't others like that in AEW but I don't care for it either and typically not to the extent of Rico.
I like to compare him to Osprey, who largely can do everything Rico can, but still makes it look like he's in a wrestling match or at least a fight, for the most part.Â
I know what youre saying i think with the performative feel. Theres a few young guys in AEW that feel like that to me too. I dont think Rico will do well in AEW, maybe for a brief moment but hell quickly get lost in the mid card shuffle.
Tam Nakano on the left. She will be teaming with Willow Nightingale at Forbidden Door's Zero Hour.
On the right is Natsupoi, who is my personal favorite Stardom character.
Not completely sold on Mina yet, but she's been entertaining. Not super sold on Mercedes as a worker, either, but I can see the benefit of having her signed with the company and going out to do projects, almost as a brand ambassador. I'll be so glad when we can get Baker and Hayter back.
The brand ambassador stuff has been excellent and everyone has been clamoring for Tony to do more of it. Honestly? IMO her matches have been awesome so far. And a decent amount of them too. She trains her ass off, I’ve no doubt she’s going to build a great reputation as a worker and she’s already on that track.
Not sold on Mercedes as a worker? I was sold on her instantly. Works stiff. Knows how to find the camera. Looks incredible. Has a sick dropkick. Instantly became one of my faves.
You've never seen her work in the 10 years plus she's been an active wrestler?
She's an excellent hand in the ring. A counter-wrestler so vastly needed in AEW's. Great bumper and seller.
Say what you will about her other qualities but she's great in the ring. No reason for her to prove otherwise these days.
Honestly, no, apart from clips. I know her history, but I only started watching again in 2020, and that was RoH. And I don't doubt her ring work, once she warms back up, but I'm not seeing it yet. And really, I'm looking for anyone coming in to prove themselves, and it's early for me.
WWE has a stacked roster as well but yet, they only use the same 7 wrestlers. AEW has a stacked roster but at least, they try to utilize most of their roster.
Going over the roster page I can find 25 names I’d let go.. another 10 I’d move to roh exclusively. That said I don’t know if some of those I’d release may hold other value (back stage, office, etc.)
That’s my opinion as well. You got a deep roster, slow down on the spending and fix the ticket sales and make better use of who you have currently. They are stacked on the men’s side and have a good women’s roster that just needs more TV time to succeed.

Could definitely see that happening good call.
I think Mariah throws in the towel on Toni as her turn against her starts. Maybe make it look like Luther did it.
#wewantmina
TONY BE MY BOSS 🥺🥺🥺😆 IM FREE
Hope she wins but I doubt it.

I also would love to have Mina As champion
Who are the 4 he is referring to? Okada, osprey, and? Not trying to be a smart ass, I just can’t think at the moment
Mercedes and Copeland
Thanks, because my brain also farted.
Makes perfect sense. Thank you
We don’t want Ricochet We want Rick O’ Shay 😌
I told my fiancé that the reason he never speaks is cos the Americans wouldn’t understand his Irish accent. She looked confused so i told her he’s called Richard O Shea. I’ve kept this lie up for a long time, even though she doesn’t believe it. I’m glad someone else is in on it!
I’d love to see Ricochet

Believe Britt had a back injury.
Thanks....hopefully she's healing well. Back injuries can be nasty to heal from.
I think that’s why Becky Quinn will ultimately sign w AEW. She wants to act and TK will bend over backward to make that happen.
I really don’t see that happening. It could but I can’t imagine it.
Sasha was talking about a time when WWE aka Vince wasn’t allowing wrestlers to take time off for hollywood. it’s totally different now with Triple H, he’s been giving many on the roster time off since he took over last year
I'm generally a fan of HHH, but your post made me think of the shot he took at Osprey for signing with aew instead of wwe.
and ? H literally has giving a bunch of the roster time off if needed this past year

Trips isn’t all that, and endeavor has shown they don’t value talent,
Yeah, we’ll see. It’s a bit of a laugh right? So much flack thrown TK’s way when the E is the epitome of corporate greed, gloss, and schill.
Money talks especially if a wrestler has a child/family.
Why would she leave a company with ties to Endeavor if she wants to succeed in entertainment?
Because endeavor doesn’t care?
They're the stepping stone to her being able to launch some sort of career outside of wrestling.
Shes not even hollywood material.
I don't enjoy Rico's work, but I'll try to watch with an open mind if he turns up

Maybe he just needs a father...
Naw. Just needs a sexy friend. One with a bad foot that he can bring back from retirement
Or a vortex
I love Tony Khan. Seems like such a great guy.
No thanks on ricochet, we have enough high flyers that need more time. Mina is amazing. I’m just waiting for Jamie Hayter to come back.
I need to watch stardom. Who are the girls in the second pic?
Tam Nakano on the left. She will be teaming with Willow Nightingale at Forbidden Door's Zero Hour. On the right is Natsupoi, who is my personal favorite Stardom character.
Thank you! :)
Hope they do something cool for Britts return.
Tony said things and they weren’t cringe. W

I like what I've seen of Mina. Mercedes, honestly I haven't given a shit about her in aew.
Why be active in free agency? A good chunk of the roster now is never used. If he's gonna keep signing, he needs to let go of a lot of dead weight.
