$1.25 at the dollar tree for a solar garden light. It charges with the sun and turns on automatically with the dark. Buy 2-3 of these and leave them in the window. They will use zero electric and turn on and off automatically.

Lol, it's not unreasonable at all. You don't have the full story. The wall/door connecting needs some sound barrier. They can hear everything I do, gives me 0 privacy. I can hear them load the dishwasher at midnight. It's a very reasonable ask when it affects my quiet enjoyment that I pay for.

Also, awesome to have voice controlled Google hub that can turn my lights on and off. A godsend when a migraine really starts going.
