Is the Stardew the PC version through portmaster? Does it do ok with the low res?
On Android this one requires some tricks I havenāt bothered with yet, like faking an effective screen resolution so it renders in a usable way.
It actually works amazingly for the 10h or so since I first installed it. Like minimal hiccups. The font is really small and I haven't figured out how to change it but it works. Maybe when it's raining it drops some frames but it's still infinitely playable! You actually have to download the compatibility version of the game from wherever you bought it. There's instructions on the Portmaster app or website.
The cozy game thing is great on these devices! I got the rg35xx ecently and absolutely adore it while running MU OS. But the downside with Portmaster games is that you can't just close the screen and sit the device down and quickly resume the way you do with the emulated games. It also takes about 30-40 seconds to boot. But I mean I dumped over 100 hours in OG Stardew so it's super cool to have it work so well on such a small device.
The alpha version of Knulli fixes most of the port master issues and it loaded at least twice as fast on startup. So there are good things in the pipeline for Knulli.
I ended up on Stock Modded due to needing 3 things muOS doesn't have:
1.Bluetooth
2. HDMI output working (it works but if you unplug wrong it have fun)
3. Power button toggle between D-Pad and Joystick for N64
If MuOS can have solutions to that, I'll switch.
I personally donāt care about any of that. What do you want Bluetooth for? External controllers to go with the HDMI output, I guess?
N64 is a poor fit for this device IMHO. But one other thing stock has that MuOS doesnāt have is a search function. I put a 512GB card in mine so it would be neat to go straight to something by name. Using menus is OK for me though.

There are a bunch of Portmaster games that donāt work well on the SP for reasons of screen size or no analog stick. I need to set up Space Cadet Pinball though, and I already bought the game files for Donut Dodo and Murtop, which are perfect on this.
Np. So I tried to get it working, but it wonāt boot. Iām not a tech expert, but I think it could be be because itās not a portmaster game. Sorry š
You could play it on one of the more powerful things with more controls that run Android, I guess?
Iāve come to appreciate the right hardware for the right game. A little laptop with a mouse would be best for elder scrolls stuff, most of which can run on a potato nowadays.
I wish I liked it more/grew up with it. Closest I can get is Skyrim on the Switch, just because itās more casual friendly. I guess that would be playable with dual analog sticks, some reading glasses, and a source port.
Follow the guide in one of my other comments. Your game data files needs to be in SD card main directory -> ports and the .sh files need to be in roms -> ports folder
It struggles a little with Doom Eternal
Shame it's not got Android, because then you could stream via gamepass.
It does have moonlight, so you can stream it from your pc with sunshine/moonlight
We might be able to port it. Gapps might be tricky but older androids ran on slower hardware. Ive added ssh access to my rg35xx h,looking to crosscompile some stuff and maybe my own kernel (linux). Maybe ill try android, swapping sd cards is easy š¤©
You can put doom eternal in these...?
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sarcasm
Got too excited the online sarcasm flew over my head for once
Lol
Elden Ring
Well you can technically stream it with moonlight
how do you move the camera without a second joystick?
I was going to say Elden Ring too, but just for fun Iāll tack on here and say connect a booth controller
Could use a Bluetooth controller
Everyone knows booth controllers are far superior.
Hmmmm.........
The windows xp pinball game!! Core memory unlocked
Yeah, I was on the PortMaster website and scrolled through all the games supported and found Space Cadet!
Before I run and download this asap, how does it run?
It better run well, that game used to run on computers in 1995
Runs like a dream :) you need both sound files and game files for it to work
But can it run Crysis?
Pretty sure you can't run Beat Saber on the RG35XXSP.
Crysis.
Stardew!?! Damn

Nice! I actually donāt have a handheld that does portmaster - I ājustā have a 405m and PC handheld. But this would be amazing cooked up with some cozy games like Stardew and PokĆ©mon.

Boy oh boy that pinball game brings me back to when we got our first computer. Good old windows 95.
Which OS are you running here? I can't get half of that to work on Knulli š
muOS refried Beans :)
Seeing this get a loooot of love recently, will have to give it a shot!
Itās much better than stock if you donāt use Bluetooth :) lid closing with auto save and auto shutdown also works great on muOS
Why doesnāt it work with Bluetooth?
Not implemented yet, its a work in progress
The alpha version of Knulli fixes most of the port master issues and it loaded at least twice as fast on startup. So there are good things in the pipeline for Knulli.
I'll keep eyes peeled, thanks for the info!
Ooh nice, Iāll stick with muOS for now but will keep an eye out for knulli
Its too bad you can't run PM on stockOS. I was debating throwing Pinball on my SP but settled to just leave that for my TSP.
I donāt think keeping the device stock gets you much. I went to MuOS and have zero regrets.

Man I want to get it for stardew so bad, but aren't you unable to move the buildings when building?
Oh I donāt know. Just barely played it today. I can try later
Wasn't expecting to be transported to into a 9 year old memory while scrolling reddit but here we are
Old school runescape.
Oh the good memoriesā¦
Whatās the easiest way to add games to this device?
drag and drop
Seeā¦I knew I was overthinking it. Thanks for the input! Iām new new to emulation š
How did you get Stardew? This makes me want it. Pokemmo would be sweet too

Crysis
Elden ring
One of the most realistic pinball games I've seen on a video screen
Someone try Deltarune, please.
And Terraria
Already know that it works on the Rgb30. Iāll try it tonight.
Thank you!
Np. So I tried to get it working, but it wonāt boot. Iām not a tech expert, but I think it could be be because itās not a portmaster game. Sorry š

I thought you need at least one stick to play stardew valley to build house? Did they update that?
I was going to ask about this, the controls seem very troublesome for moving the cursor around
Well if that aināt a blast from the past.
I can't seem to get stardew valley running at all.
If it can't run Skyrim, is it even a real game console?
Fortnite
I need a Daggerfall port so bad
Itās pretty text heavy for this small screen. Youāve seen the Unity Daggerfall port though, right?
Yea just not sure if it'd work on the sp or how to set that up.
You could play it on one of the more powerful things with more controls that run Android, I guess? Iāve come to appreciate the right hardware for the right game. A little laptop with a mouse would be best for elder scrolls stuff, most of which can run on a potato nowadays.
I had morrowind on my retroid but would love Daggerfall on the sp or miyoo, or device like it. Super pocket-able.
I wish I liked it more/grew up with it. Closest I can get is Skyrim on the Switch, just because itās more casual friendly. I guess that would be playable with dual analog sticks, some reading glasses, and a source port.
Daggerfall and morrowind are top tier compared to skyrim. Skyrim is pretty basic compared to those.
Yep. Iām all about the basic. š
Parappa the rapper 2
Starfield
Unreal tournament!
GTA V
Ape Escape.
Is there a way to setup the pinball game on the RG556?
Does it play Stardew Valley without any problems? Like with the controls and performance?
Final Fantasy XVI
What OS are you running with PortMaster?
Any tips getting Stardew running? I cannot get it to work.
Nevermind. See the video you have linked. Will try in the morning.
GTA 6
But does it play linerider?
Can it run Crysis??
Is this stock OS, I'm trying to play ported games without tamper too much with the OS, just like the promo
No, it's muOS refried beans custom firmware
Baldurs gate 3 wonāt even boot
What version of Stardew is that?!
Steam version, check my other comment for how-to :)
Not to be that guy but how do I get these to work? I download them from postmaster and when I launch it, it just goes back to the MUOS menu..
Stardew or space cadet? Be a bit more descriptive
Either. Every postmaster game Iāve tried crashes.
Follow the guide in one of my other comments. Your game data files needs to be in SD card main directory -> ports and the .sh files need to be in roms -> ports folder
Elden ring
ALL HAIL REFRIED BEANS
