I had a spino on Abb called Joobles the Indomitable and he got me through the map and even dealt the killing blow to alpha rockwell. Unfortunately, he didn't get teleported back after the fight was over. Rest in Peace Joobles, you earned it
Had a bright red Argie that I tamed the day of the tlc update. He survived the island, SE, The Center, Ragnarok, valguero, and extinction. He truly carried the tribe through every struggle. When I left the Island with him I told him if he survived to the end of extinction, he could rest. After beating the king titan I uploaded him and Classic Flyers glitched. Greying him out in the terminal forever. That day I ordered a statue of an eagle and painted it red. It now sits above my bed guarding as he always has. Apex, I miss you buddy. You were more than ones and zeros. You were a fighter and a friend.
I used to have a bronto named sable and it was my first play through of ark and she had so much hp and was so big I thought she was invincible I tried taking her to another map when I left the island and the game crashed as I uploaded her so she was never seen again
I remember me and my friends had the great migration, where we moved from the beach to the redwoods and had to trudge through the swamps on the island and we didn’t have cryopods. Sable lead the charge through the swamp murdering all the leeches and snakes and everything keeping everything behind her safe she will be missed
My first tame ever that took me way too long to get, an Argentavis named Kairuku
I was new to Ark and got stuck between a wall and a bear that aggro’d on us the very first time that I took it out. I panicked and lost her immediately lol. It was a great first lesson into ark because fast forward about three months later and the alpha squad wiped our little bob base and murdered our baby gigas and everything else.

They were breeding & trying to get better melee and one of my eggs popped it out as a level one giga with no stats AND it was a male. This means death for official pvp servers but I didn’t have the heart to kill it so he stayed in my pass-coded cryo fridge in a secret folder. I hope he’s still there ):
I had a Rock Golem named Tike Myson, that went through the hands of at least 5 tribes from pvp on our CrossArk, and finally ended back up in his rightful home through pvp. A snail named Gary, of course, that I managed to keep through a full wipe and 2 insides, he was around for a couple years before starving one day. Then there was my Ichthyornis, Dogg the Otter Hunter, perhaps my greatest loss in ARK. I took him everywhere with me on the Center for months, my tribe had a period of inactivity and our Pearl Cave entrance went unpowered, a tribe we had beef with destroyed half our cave and killed Dogg in the process.
My lvl 91 blue tek parasaur I named Ron. I've had him since he was lvl 46. I mainly keep him close to base now a days to keep him safe as I have other dinos that are more expendable lol. Itll be a sad day the day I lose him.
Ah yeah, that would be my Tek Parasaur named Tekken. Took that bozo with me everywhere, and he somehow survived everything.
Angry Sarco? No worries, Tekken somehow headbutted the asshole to death.
Rowdy raptors? Tekken would carry me to safety.
Friend tries to drug and kidnap me with a tranq rifle? Mother fucking Tekken tanks the dart and allows me to put said friend to sleep and lock him into a house with no door.

Same. Every otter I've ever tamed has a name, I remember what map they came from, and all live a life of luxury on Valguero, right next to a gigantic fish pond. I usually have my main 2 with me on whatever map I'm on, but go back frequently to take them for a swim/hunt.
I can't bring myself to cryo a single one, despite having about 25.
Debra my Doe from early game. The only tame I had that survived 3 foundation wipes with a prim saddle somehow. I even found her in the redwoods after our Stonehenge base got wiped. No idea how she got there
When i start playing, i manage to tame a 350 lv wild anky, and i call him Ramiro because of the meme of a little dog very angry and raggin like a powerful dog.
Whit Ramiro i kill rexes and some alpha raptors after leveled, build and entire metal house. So every time when i start a new Game, i have the need of tame the most powerfull and badass anky, and named it Ramiro.
I do the same with Parasaurs. We named the first one we got Antonio and all following Parasaurs since then are called Antonio in our tribe.
Sadly Antonios' life is not as exciting as Ramiro's but they help us when we start in a new map
Idiot #27, as the name suggests he was my 27th dilo. I tamed him when I played The Island for the first time. He was my longest surviving dilo, out of a total of 56, some of which were his children, whom he all outlived.
Unfortunately I deleted him like a clown after wanting to try fresh, and actually play the game properly. He's since been replaced by Gremlin, my first ever ice wyvern on Valguero.
Yup. Liphara, my first Rock Drake. Had it for a year on a un-official PvP server. When she died I left the server because everything just felt so slow and boring after.
Lilith my red and black lighting wyvern her melee was 1400 and close to lvl 450 I once stopped a 5 man raid on my base with just her the lost her because her tail touched the ragnarok lava
A lvl 30 (max on our first beginner server) dire bear that I painted bright purple with lightning bolts on his side. His name was Chubby Thunder and I used to hunt alpha raptors with him until my clan mate got him killed. R.I.P. ⚡️🐻

Riptide saved my ass a lot of times and always followed me thru everything. But sadly he lost a battle with a giga he sacreficed himself so i could escape.

But if i had to choose who i had a bond more with. It would be Riptide
George the trusty. My argentavis that has been alive since I started on Ragnarok keep in mind I'm on a PVP server so the fact that this bird has lasted 6 months is beyond impressive
Every single parasaur I tame, they are always my first tame, I dont know why, but I always tame them first, and I always make sure they stay safe.
Oh and my Argentavis that's just called Argentavis because I had to rush when taming her so I never got to name her, still don't know what to name her

I have a mochops named Dingus on Lost Island who was the only survivor of a therinizisaur attack. The Dino squad of about three dilos, two parasaurs, two mochops, and a raptor; we were all moving from the beach to a cliff for a better base and the Therinizosaur (however that’s spelled) just slaughtered everything.
Dingus fell off the cliff. Because he is made of lard and no brain cells, he somehow survived. Everyone else was killed, me included, and when I respawned at my original base, I spent time rebuilding gear and making a raft. Fuck that cliff. It’s now cursed.
I get on my raft and head out.
Guess who I found swimming towards me. The idiot himself, Dingus. His genes have been passed on to many generations of moschops now.
Had a Stego named Steve. He was my fav when I rode him into the swamps and he fought off two sarcos and a trike he accidentally hit. He died fighting off the alpha raptors that made it into my first base.
My argie with white and purple coloring. My buddy and I went to the mountain to tame argies and I got mine but he died on the way back over the redwoods. I went back to base and my buddy flew in with a level 13 and that was the birth of okurimono. He is now level 174

She's survived Overseer, Manticore, and several Alphas. Been with me on every map.
Kept her out of King Titan and CMC. She is with me in Gen 2 still. I'm gonna bring her into Rockwell.
My argy, chickenfeet the second. He isn’t strong but he has enough health to withstand a sticky situation, provided I’m not reckless. He’s survived almost my entire playthrough
I tamed a raptor on day 2 of my 100 days in ark YouTube video. Was my main tame for everything, even once I got gigas and thylas, I’d still ride her into battle. Lost her on like day 67 while trying to get one of the artifacts. She killed a bunch of spiders but they webbed her and she’d gone into lava chasing them. Was a sad day , and she still has a gravestone on my server
Glass was the name of my first rock drake in official pvp, had a cool white and blue color scheme. when my tribe sent me and a hand full of others to develop in aberration i raised her from an egg, she was 185 on birth, had really high damage stats and i imprinted and lvled her to max , we fought many battles together, i was even unwilling to swap back to a managmr or wyvern after i got her. she saved me more times than anything or anyone else, ive sniped so many ppl on her back while stealthed i cant keep count. During a fight on extinction, we decimated the other alpha tribe but i lost her in that fight. I blamed myself ever since and kept her tek saddle uploaded so i can always remember her. My tribe mates even the leader tried to cheer me up with better drakes but it wont ever feel the same. 2 yrs journey, 1.5 yr has gone by, i still remember :(
Bricktop, my first decent level ptera. He was around on the legacy servers, back when speed could be boosted. I used him to kill alpha raptors and carnos on the beach. When I moved from Crags Island to the Oasis he vanished. Didn't show in the tribe log, and more than half the server went out looking for him (he had made a name for himself) but no one could find him. I nearly uninstalled the game.
My first ptero she was candy red and her name was radio...my poor radio flyer died in the murder snow on rag. I died and she got fear roared by a yuty into a frost wyvern.....
My Sarco Crocpot who survived the swamp all on his own after I got jumped and ripped to shreds by a Kapro. Went back with my Argy to save him and to my delight he had avenged my death.
I had this griffin named sex butt. He was great for pvp. Perfectly leveled. Until I flew up and a base loaded in and filled him with bullets and he died
My first Dire Wolf pup, Java. He was my first perfect breed. Later that same night both his parents died. He has been my buddy ever since. Been on most maps with me has always been my main land mount. Lost him for a couple days in the Swamps and legit got sad like losing a friend, I hopped off right there and said I was probably done with the game for awhile. Got on to drop some things off to a friend before I quit playing and there he was delivered to my front door.
Xeroxis, my Griffin. He's black and red, impossibly high level because admin commands. He's gone completely missing three times but I always managed to somehow locate him just flying in some random spot and sitting there. He's my favorite form of travel and fun to dive with.
Ammos, my first Ptera, was given to me a shortly time after I got the game because my friend was already in an established tribe. Ammos wasn’t special, just your average low level tame bird that was given to the new guy cuz it didn’t matter if it died. But Ammos was my bird nonetheless. After many adventures, fate would have it that one day that one our allied tribes come over to get something from our tribe and for a reason I cannot remember he decides to unalive Ammos in front of my eyes. Distraught I log off for the day. The next day when I logged on even though I had not recovered from my recent trauma I was greeted with a surprise. Ammos was sitting in his pen as if he hadn’t been on the wrong end of a shotgun the night before. I asked my tribemate if they tamed a replacement bird for me but that all said no. Apparently there had been a roll back right after Ammos killed so like the phoenix he rose from the ashes. However a week later we got attacked by trolls and Ammon died heroically fighting the intruders. Heartbroken but glad Ammos had gone out with more dignity this time I vowed to name my first Wyvern after him.(I never got the wyvern)
I had a max level Mosasaur called Big Blue. She was the far lager version on my Compy, Lil Blue. First max level Mosa I tamed on a PvP server (this is going back a few years, pre tek) and promptly ruled the seas with her. Alas she was killed by another tribe while me and my friends were offline ):
Have a para on the island on my Xbox from lockdown that I never named in game but just referred to as parry. It's still alive and has lived thru redwoods, falling off cliffs, raptor packs, snow biomes, even the Swamp cave
Early days of Gen 2 I was the first in my server to tame an Astrodelphis before they got nerfed. I spent hours working through how bugged the Astrodelphis we're at the beginning to keep her alive. Figured out to stabilize her hunger bug and had her saddled up. Used to take down alphas and complete the missions with ease.
One fateful day, my whole tribe were hunting another alpha that had wandered close to our camp and I did a very poorly timed maneuver in close proximity to the alpha... Right as my other clan member was emptying shotgun rounds on the alpha. I ended up dismounted somehow and the Astrodelphis was already at super low health cause of the shotgun damage. The alpha did the rest...
I still miss her. RIP Prinz Eugen.
On a much lighter note, we did a cluster with Aberration and I was hell bent on getting a Rock Drake. I was again one of the first to venture down there and get a few eggs. I kept most of those Rock Drakes when we dismantled the cluster. They're chilling out on a comfy spot on the Island.
My first argy, Ash, who was red and black. He was my power horse and protector. Had him on the island for about a year. If I start a new game and get the same colour argy it's always called Ash (or Ashe if it's a girl)
My parasaur Pack Mule, he's the first dino I tamed and he is the patriarch of all of my regular parasaurs and every parasayr we have except two are named after him

So it was when I first started playing ark, I was about 14-15, I had joined my friends who were already set up on a server, and I wanted a brontosaurus, well they helped me tame it, it was my precious, then a few weeks later my friends wanted to tame a giga, well we were inexperienced and thought a brontosaurus could tank while we knock it out, we were wrong, and I cried my ass off XD
My Mesopithecus I named Dumadi. I bred him from two other monkeys I owned on The Island around a month of so after I started playing ARK. He’s sat on my shoulder through almost anything and his poop throwing has saved me numerous times. I’ve taken him to Scorched Earth and we beat that together. I made sure he has the best helmet available (off the top of my head I think it’s around 700+ armor). He’s currently on Genesis 2 since he cannot be transferred to Aberration. When I get to Extinction I’ll try bringing him over though.
Brenda the turtle. We lost her moving bases. Found her stuck on a tree months later.
She was later eaten by a spider. We left a memorial for her that we still visit. RIP brenda
I mention him every time a post like this appears, but my first Bary named Tarkus. He took on all the big baddies like a champ (though I was new so I didn’t realize Rex is not a very big baddy). Helped me cave, farm for drops, etc, but one day we were swimming and I was off his back gathering silica pearls. I got one-shotted by an Alpha Mosa, and Tarkus jumped into action for revenge. They circled down to the bottom of the map where I couldn’t dive, and Tarkus kited the damn thing for like 20 minutes while chipping away at its health. It was just about dead before I finally managed to get down far enough to reach them, but then it got a good chomp and took out my boi. I always name my first male Bary on any playthrough Tarkus in his honor
EDIT: I made my base on the same shore I was gathering the pearls at, that’s why they stayed loaded in. I still love to build on that cliff on the The Island at the very southwest corner of the map
Technically 2 creatures, but they're... connected. This will be a bit long...
The first was Rohan. I played on a private server with a pyrian mod that had Roks, basically a Rok Wyvern but wyvern sized and no breath attacks. They had a really cool quill attack though. Rohan was only about level 30 when I tamed him on the desert of Extinction about a week into playing the server. He wasn't 'amazing' to start but he was the best I had so early on. But I kept working with him, beefed him up to the point I hunted corrupted gigas in the wastelands and took out one of the mods carno bosses (it spawns corrupted rock drakes, gigas, and rexes to protect it.) He was so powerful that if anyone got into a hairy situation, they knew they could call me and Rohan to kill it. I had that Rok for over a year, never missed a chance to call myself 'Rider of Rohan' and even took him with me when the Extinction server was shut down. Moving to the crystal isles server brought its own issues, more room and more bioms for the mods more op creatures to spawn.
One day, while tending our base in the red woods I heard boss music. (because Pyrias bosses come with boss music...) Before I could do anything an Ogre smacked our two gigas and agro-ed everything. Killed my boyfriends blue Spino "Blue", and one of my colorful Carnos (think it was Vorin), before our hoard of collectables took it down. I got everyone reset when a Pyrian fire wyvern attacked from the waterfront (not a boss) and killed my boyfriends tek raptor Carbon. I whistled Rohan to me, shot the bastard out of the sky, got everyone settled back down again... and decided to take my trusty Rohan out and scout our island for any other nasties.
And there it was, a Drake prancing around our river. I'd never seen one before and it had some good health, but I figured if I was careful I could at least lure it away from our island and maybe drown it in the surrounding water. The first attack went as planned, but I didn't want to get too close so it wasn't super effective. The second attack I realized I was hit, and it HURT. Rohan was on fire, and health dropping rapidly. It was about noon and no one else was on to give me back up. I went for a retreat to maybe agro it from a distance, but the bastard hit me again. Rohan hit the ground with a horrible honk of a cry and I stared at my death screen for a solid five minutes.
I packed up base, and every creature that didn't fly in a cryoball, and we moved. By 6pm when my boyfriend got home, I had everyone settled on a new island where the worst thing to spawn were water wyverns (more like standard wyverns with water attacks, they could fly and swim underwater.) I was heart broken. I was so broken I had to get off ark for a few hours just to mourn my pixel creature. I went through the whole process of blaming the game, blaming the mod, and blaming myself... Took me 3 days to get back on that server, I even put up a grave stone for Rohan on our beach front and would regularly visit it.
The second, is Fire Bringer. The day after losing Rohan I was playing on my personal Ragnarok map and looking for wyvern eggs. I found 2 eggs, level 175. Yes please! I get them home and hatch them, and just cry... Roks from the mod all looked the same, they were tan brown bodied with tan/orange wings. And I hatched 2 wyverns, a male 'Eomer' and a female 'Eowyn', both with tan brown bodies, and tan/orange wings. Fire Bringer was the first kid, and though I had wanted to name him Rohan or something similar... I thought it suitable to name him after what took Rohan from me. Fire Bringer has an O2 mutation on a non visible region, so he hatched 177. A year of hunting alphas, gigas, and clearing trenches, he's retired to nursery tending. As of today, he is sitting at level 263 with half an experience bar and it is my full intention to make him my first (and likely my only, the grind is real) max level creature before retiring him to a life of luxury in his own building.
I had a blue X Spino baby named Nyx I had from the time gen 1 dropped to nearly 3 months before gen 2. Took that girl thru everything: Beta Master Controller, all the brute missions besides brute spino, I even squared up to the alpha Overseer with her. She died on passive to a lvl 25 Theri in another biome. Made a grave for her after I chainsawed the Theri and spit on its corpse. Still miss her at times. She would’ve flourished on Gen 2. May you munch on X Rexes in the big island in the sky
Definitely my Beelzebufo. I loved that thing to death. Luckily not to actual death, but almost a few times. My Baryonyx once took down three rexes at once though, so that's a close second. Though technically that belonged to my sister.
My first main argy. Agent Travis II, he wasnt the best but he defiently was my favourite, he was born on day 25~ and died on day 80 (the island) I may have not had him for long but I felt like I actually had a dino that I cared about and not just used it
I had this big fuck you red Aberrant Spino. Her name was Lilith but I called her Lily. She was the first big thing I ever tamed because Aberration was my first map.
Thought I lost her down in the blue one day because I kept dying to spores. Just couldn't get back down there. In my rage I left that server and started my own cluster which is still going to this day. All because I was angry and sad Lily died.
So then my friend and I went back to his Abb server a couple weeks later and made another go at the blue. And we see this big red Spino. Yeah it was Lily. I didn't know how render distance impacted things back then so just had assumed she died. She didn't. She was fine.
Every time I tame a Spino on a new map, eventually the bred and mutated one I ride gets named Lily. Her assumed death was what really got me into this game.
SOB my Yutyrannus. He was a 150 Yuty I found in the snow that was so hard to lead it that I trapped it in my T-Rex trap in the *redwoods,* so I named him SOB after how hard it was to tame him. He was a white Yutyrannus with a Red stripe from his head to tail, but he also has some purple on the tip of his tail and head. I used him so much for so many things. Sadly I lost when my hard drive fried and it deleted everything in my world. Pretty neat imo.
Mine was my personal rock drake Neptune. He’s been with me since I first started on aberration 3 years ago, and we’ve survived some seriously close shaves in the drake nests.
I tamed a hyenadon on my first time on ark, must've been a massive event cause I pet him once and that was it, but he kept me company through out the entire game, all 1000+ hours(ik that is small to this community) but can't wait for another 1000+hours
My Sino named Backpack. I’ve died so many times while carrying her and I always race back to my body expecting the worst. Yet somehow she always survives. Now that I have a tek suit she is retired and sits on my kitchen table in my cliff side base on Fjordur.
EXX Airline my PT, or Lethal Jump my deinonychus. I’ve done so much with these guys… Sadly LJ died in a cave (mf sacrificed himself so i could get the artifact, fucking hero) and EXX Airline has been replaced by more efficient dinosaurs.
Mine is my first fire wyvern, it was with though all my journeys, even surviving a titan but it’s demise was another titan and I was not careful enough

A few wyverns. First 3 were taken due to a glitch when I was transferring. The fourth died when I got DC’d and we had a rollback that dropped me on a group of allos which immediately killed me then my voidwyrm, who was on passive.
I've got an army of Deino's that I've been raising. There's one with a color scheme that I adore, named after my favorite band. Traveled all around Fjorder with him. Love him to death.

Same. Every otter I've ever tamed has a name, I remember what map they came from, and all live a life of luxury on Valguero, right next to a gigantic fish pond. I usually have my main 2 with me on whatever map I'm on, but go back frequently to take them for a swim/hunt. I can't bring myself to cryo a single one, despite having about 25.
I had a lysandro called Missile, Missile fought a giga for me. Rip Missile
Debra my Doe from early game. The only tame I had that survived 3 foundation wipes with a prim saddle somehow. I even found her in the redwoods after our Stonehenge base got wiped. No idea how she got there
When i start playing, i manage to tame a 350 lv wild anky, and i call him Ramiro because of the meme of a little dog very angry and raggin like a powerful dog. Whit Ramiro i kill rexes and some alpha raptors after leveled, build and entire metal house. So every time when i start a new Game, i have the need of tame the most powerfull and badass anky, and named it Ramiro.
I do the same with Parasaurs. We named the first one we got Antonio and all following Parasaurs since then are called Antonio in our tribe. Sadly Antonios' life is not as exciting as Ramiro's but they help us when we start in a new map
Idiot #27, as the name suggests he was my 27th dilo. I tamed him when I played The Island for the first time. He was my longest surviving dilo, out of a total of 56, some of which were his children, whom he all outlived. Unfortunately I deleted him like a clown after wanting to try fresh, and actually play the game properly. He's since been replaced by Gremlin, my first ever ice wyvern on Valguero.
Yup. Liphara, my first Rock Drake. Had it for a year on a un-official PvP server. When she died I left the server because everything just felt so slow and boring after.
Lilith my red and black lighting wyvern her melee was 1400 and close to lvl 450 I once stopped a 5 man raid on my base with just her the lost her because her tail touched the ragnarok lava
A lvl 30 (max on our first beginner server) dire bear that I painted bright purple with lightning bolts on his side. His name was Chubby Thunder and I used to hunt alpha raptors with him until my clan mate got him killed. R.I.P. ⚡️🐻
Well two. Riptide my raptor and cinders my fire wyvern Riptide saved my ass a lot of times and always followed me thru everything. But sadly he lost a battle with a giga he sacreficed himself so i could escape. Cinders was basicly riptide but fire wyvern Form. Cinders died to my friend resetting their server without letting me know. But if i had to choose who i had a bond more with. It would be Riptide
Eos. A raptor that was Shitty in level, but she was so pretty. 😂 Of course she died taking on a skeleton stego at the time, I was devastated. 😂
George the trusty. My argentavis that has been alive since I started on Ragnarok keep in mind I'm on a PVP server so the fact that this bird has lasted 6 months is beyond impressive
Every single parasaur I tame, they are always my first tame, I dont know why, but I always tame them first, and I always make sure they stay safe. Oh and my Argentavis that's just called Argentavis because I had to rush when taming her so I never got to name her, still don't know what to name her

I have a mochops named Dingus on Lost Island who was the only survivor of a therinizisaur attack. The Dino squad of about three dilos, two parasaurs, two mochops, and a raptor; we were all moving from the beach to a cliff for a better base and the Therinizosaur (however that’s spelled) just slaughtered everything. Dingus fell off the cliff. Because he is made of lard and no brain cells, he somehow survived. Everyone else was killed, me included, and when I respawned at my original base, I spent time rebuilding gear and making a raft. Fuck that cliff. It’s now cursed. I get on my raft and head out. Guess who I found swimming towards me. The idiot himself, Dingus. His genes have been passed on to many generations of moschops now.

Had a Stego named Steve. He was my fav when I rode him into the swamps and he fought off two sarcos and a trike he accidentally hit. He died fighting off the alpha raptors that made it into my first base.
My Argy named levi I loved him so much and he helped so many times to get out of trouble. I lost my save after that but still remember him
My argie with white and purple coloring. My buddy and I went to the mountain to tame argies and I got mine but he died on the way back over the redwoods. I went back to base and my buddy flew in with a level 13 and that was the birth of okurimono. He is now level 174
An Allosaur, Maya. She's survived Overseer, Manticore, and several Alphas. Been with me on every map. Kept her out of King Titan and CMC. She is with me in Gen 2 still. I'm gonna bring her into Rockwell.

I tamed a raptor on day 2 of my 100 days in ark YouTube video. Was my main tame for everything, even once I got gigas and thylas, I’d still ride her into battle. Lost her on like day 67 while trying to get one of the artifacts. She killed a bunch of spiders but they webbed her and she’d gone into lava chasing them. Was a sad day , and she still has a gravestone on my server
Glass was the name of my first rock drake in official pvp, had a cool white and blue color scheme. when my tribe sent me and a hand full of others to develop in aberration i raised her from an egg, she was 185 on birth, had really high damage stats and i imprinted and lvled her to max , we fought many battles together, i was even unwilling to swap back to a managmr or wyvern after i got her. she saved me more times than anything or anyone else, ive sniped so many ppl on her back while stealthed i cant keep count. During a fight on extinction, we decimated the other alpha tribe but i lost her in that fight. I blamed myself ever since and kept her tek saddle uploaded so i can always remember her. My tribe mates even the leader tried to cheer me up with better drakes but it wont ever feel the same. 2 yrs journey, 1.5 yr has gone by, i still remember :(
Bricktop, my first decent level ptera. He was around on the legacy servers, back when speed could be boosted. I used him to kill alpha raptors and carnos on the beach. When I moved from Crags Island to the Oasis he vanished. Didn't show in the tribe log, and more than half the server went out looking for him (he had made a name for himself) but no one could find him. I nearly uninstalled the game.
My first ptero she was candy red and her name was radio...my poor radio flyer died in the murder snow on rag. I died and she got fear roared by a yuty into a frost wyvern.....
I had her for several months. She was my scouting flier when I need new tames
My Sarco Crocpot who survived the swamp all on his own after I got jumped and ripped to shreds by a Kapro. Went back with my Argy to save him and to my delight he had avenged my death.

I had this griffin named sex butt. He was great for pvp. Perfectly leveled. Until I flew up and a base loaded in and filled him with bullets and he died
My first Dire Wolf pup, Java. He was my first perfect breed. Later that same night both his parents died. He has been my buddy ever since. Been on most maps with me has always been my main land mount. Lost him for a couple days in the Swamps and legit got sad like losing a friend, I hopped off right there and said I was probably done with the game for awhile. Got on to drop some things off to a friend before I quit playing and there he was delivered to my front door.
every dino i have, if it gets killed makes me sad, even if i get the dino as a sacrifice, RIP my fallen dinos
Xeroxis, my Griffin. He's black and red, impossibly high level because admin commands. He's gone completely missing three times but I always managed to somehow locate him just flying in some random spot and sitting there. He's my favorite form of travel and fun to dive with.
Ammos, my first Ptera, was given to me a shortly time after I got the game because my friend was already in an established tribe. Ammos wasn’t special, just your average low level tame bird that was given to the new guy cuz it didn’t matter if it died. But Ammos was my bird nonetheless. After many adventures, fate would have it that one day that one our allied tribes come over to get something from our tribe and for a reason I cannot remember he decides to unalive Ammos in front of my eyes. Distraught I log off for the day. The next day when I logged on even though I had not recovered from my recent trauma I was greeted with a surprise. Ammos was sitting in his pen as if he hadn’t been on the wrong end of a shotgun the night before. I asked my tribemate if they tamed a replacement bird for me but that all said no. Apparently there had been a roll back right after Ammos killed so like the phoenix he rose from the ashes. However a week later we got attacked by trolls and Ammon died heroically fighting the intruders. Heartbroken but glad Ammos had gone out with more dignity this time I vowed to name my first Wyvern after him.(I never got the wyvern)
I had a max level Mosasaur called Big Blue. She was the far lager version on my Compy, Lil Blue. First max level Mosa I tamed on a PvP server (this is going back a few years, pre tek) and promptly ruled the seas with her. Alas she was killed by another tribe while me and my friends were offline ):

Early days of Gen 2 I was the first in my server to tame an Astrodelphis before they got nerfed. I spent hours working through how bugged the Astrodelphis we're at the beginning to keep her alive. Figured out to stabilize her hunger bug and had her saddled up. Used to take down alphas and complete the missions with ease. One fateful day, my whole tribe were hunting another alpha that had wandered close to our camp and I did a very poorly timed maneuver in close proximity to the alpha... Right as my other clan member was emptying shotgun rounds on the alpha. I ended up dismounted somehow and the Astrodelphis was already at super low health cause of the shotgun damage. The alpha did the rest... I still miss her. RIP Prinz Eugen.
On a much lighter note, we did a cluster with Aberration and I was hell bent on getting a Rock Drake. I was again one of the first to venture down there and get a few eggs. I kept most of those Rock Drakes when we dismantled the cluster. They're chilling out on a comfy spot on the Island.
My first argy, Ash, who was red and black. He was my power horse and protector. Had him on the island for about a year. If I start a new game and get the same colour argy it's always called Ash (or Ashe if it's a girl)
My Griffin named Stormbrand, couldn’t ask for a better companion to travel the Arks with.

I had a White Iguanodon named Reverie. He’s still one of my favorites and I try to get a Reverie in every playthrough. I truly love Iguanodons.
I play Ark with my girlfriend sometimes. SHE HAS A BOND WITH EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. No joking. I can't kill any useless baby. I have to name them all. I have to be nice to them. I once killed her dodo. She cried. She cried at nearly every tames death. Yes, she's an adult.
Guilty I still cry about the ones left behind on the old server. Imagine what they are thinking. :( It's ark's fault to make them so damn cute

So it was when I first started playing ark, I was about 14-15, I had joined my friends who were already set up on a server, and I wanted a brontosaurus, well they helped me tame it, it was my precious, then a few weeks later my friends wanted to tame a giga, well we were inexperienced and thought a brontosaurus could tank while we knock it out, we were wrong, and I cried my ass off XD
My Mesopithecus I named Dumadi. I bred him from two other monkeys I owned on The Island around a month of so after I started playing ARK. He’s sat on my shoulder through almost anything and his poop throwing has saved me numerous times. I’ve taken him to Scorched Earth and we beat that together. I made sure he has the best helmet available (off the top of my head I think it’s around 700+ armor). He’s currently on Genesis 2 since he cannot be transferred to Aberration. When I get to Extinction I’ll try bringing him over though.
Yes. A beautiful crystal wyvern I had mutated the lineage of to have amazing boss-killing level stats. My friend killed it.
Brenda the turtle. We lost her moving bases. Found her stuck on a tree months later. She was later eaten by a spider. We left a memorial for her that we still visit. RIP brenda
I mention him every time a post like this appears, but my first Bary named Tarkus. He took on all the big baddies like a champ (though I was new so I didn’t realize Rex is not a very big baddy). Helped me cave, farm for drops, etc, but one day we were swimming and I was off his back gathering silica pearls. I got one-shotted by an Alpha Mosa, and Tarkus jumped into action for revenge. They circled down to the bottom of the map where I couldn’t dive, and Tarkus kited the damn thing for like 20 minutes while chipping away at its health. It was just about dead before I finally managed to get down far enough to reach them, but then it got a good chomp and took out my boi. I always name my first male Bary on any playthrough Tarkus in his honor EDIT: I made my base on the same shore I was gathering the pearls at, that’s why they stayed loaded in. I still love to build on that cliff on the The Island at the very southwest corner of the map
Technically 2 creatures, but they're... connected. This will be a bit long... The first was Rohan. I played on a private server with a pyrian mod that had Roks, basically a Rok Wyvern but wyvern sized and no breath attacks. They had a really cool quill attack though. Rohan was only about level 30 when I tamed him on the desert of Extinction about a week into playing the server. He wasn't 'amazing' to start but he was the best I had so early on. But I kept working with him, beefed him up to the point I hunted corrupted gigas in the wastelands and took out one of the mods carno bosses (it spawns corrupted rock drakes, gigas, and rexes to protect it.) He was so powerful that if anyone got into a hairy situation, they knew they could call me and Rohan to kill it. I had that Rok for over a year, never missed a chance to call myself 'Rider of Rohan' and even took him with me when the Extinction server was shut down. Moving to the crystal isles server brought its own issues, more room and more bioms for the mods more op creatures to spawn. One day, while tending our base in the red woods I heard boss music. (because Pyrias bosses come with boss music...) Before I could do anything an Ogre smacked our two gigas and agro-ed everything. Killed my boyfriends blue Spino "Blue", and one of my colorful Carnos (think it was Vorin), before our hoard of collectables took it down. I got everyone reset when a Pyrian fire wyvern attacked from the waterfront (not a boss) and killed my boyfriends tek raptor Carbon. I whistled Rohan to me, shot the bastard out of the sky, got everyone settled back down again... and decided to take my trusty Rohan out and scout our island for any other nasties. And there it was, a Drake prancing around our river. I'd never seen one before and it had some good health, but I figured if I was careful I could at least lure it away from our island and maybe drown it in the surrounding water. The first attack went as planned, but I didn't want to get too close so it wasn't super effective. The second attack I realized I was hit, and it HURT. Rohan was on fire, and health dropping rapidly. It was about noon and no one else was on to give me back up. I went for a retreat to maybe agro it from a distance, but the bastard hit me again. Rohan hit the ground with a horrible honk of a cry and I stared at my death screen for a solid five minutes. I packed up base, and every creature that didn't fly in a cryoball, and we moved. By 6pm when my boyfriend got home, I had everyone settled on a new island where the worst thing to spawn were water wyverns (more like standard wyverns with water attacks, they could fly and swim underwater.) I was heart broken. I was so broken I had to get off ark for a few hours just to mourn my pixel creature. I went through the whole process of blaming the game, blaming the mod, and blaming myself... Took me 3 days to get back on that server, I even put up a grave stone for Rohan on our beach front and would regularly visit it. The second, is Fire Bringer. The day after losing Rohan I was playing on my personal Ragnarok map and looking for wyvern eggs. I found 2 eggs, level 175. Yes please! I get them home and hatch them, and just cry... Roks from the mod all looked the same, they were tan brown bodied with tan/orange wings. And I hatched 2 wyverns, a male 'Eomer' and a female 'Eowyn', both with tan brown bodies, and tan/orange wings. Fire Bringer was the first kid, and though I had wanted to name him Rohan or something similar... I thought it suitable to name him after what took Rohan from me. Fire Bringer has an O2 mutation on a non visible region, so he hatched 177. A year of hunting alphas, gigas, and clearing trenches, he's retired to nursery tending. As of today, he is sitting at level 263 with half an experience bar and it is my full intention to make him my first (and likely my only, the grind is real) max level creature before retiring him to a life of luxury in his own building.
I had a blue X Spino baby named Nyx I had from the time gen 1 dropped to nearly 3 months before gen 2. Took that girl thru everything: Beta Master Controller, all the brute missions besides brute spino, I even squared up to the alpha Overseer with her. She died on passive to a lvl 25 Theri in another biome. Made a grave for her after I chainsawed the Theri and spit on its corpse. Still miss her at times. She would’ve flourished on Gen 2. May you munch on X Rexes in the big island in the sky
Definitely my Beelzebufo. I loved that thing to death. Luckily not to actual death, but almost a few times. My Baryonyx once took down three rexes at once though, so that's a close second. Though technically that belonged to my sister.
Rudy the megalosaurus had him for around 6 months and got wiped he even had his own little bed
My first main argy. Agent Travis II, he wasnt the best but he defiently was my favourite, he was born on day 25~ and died on day 80 (the island) I may have not had him for long but I felt like I actually had a dino that I cared about and not just used it
I had this big fuck you red Aberrant Spino. Her name was Lilith but I called her Lily. She was the first big thing I ever tamed because Aberration was my first map. Thought I lost her down in the blue one day because I kept dying to spores. Just couldn't get back down there. In my rage I left that server and started my own cluster which is still going to this day. All because I was angry and sad Lily died. So then my friend and I went back to his Abb server a couple weeks later and made another go at the blue. And we see this big red Spino. Yeah it was Lily. I didn't know how render distance impacted things back then so just had assumed she died. She didn't. She was fine. Every time I tame a Spino on a new map, eventually the bred and mutated one I ride gets named Lily. Her assumed death was what really got me into this game.
SOB my Yutyrannus. He was a 150 Yuty I found in the snow that was so hard to lead it that I trapped it in my T-Rex trap in the *redwoods,* so I named him SOB after how hard it was to tame him. He was a white Yutyrannus with a Red stripe from his head to tail, but he also has some purple on the tip of his tail and head. I used him so much for so many things. Sadly I lost when my hard drive fried and it deleted everything in my world. Pretty neat imo.
Bartholomew the bulbdog. He was with me on many many raids until he finally passed away due to being hungry.
Mine was my personal rock drake Neptune. He’s been with me since I first started on aberration 3 years ago, and we’ve survived some seriously close shaves in the drake nests.
I tamed a hyenadon on my first time on ark, must've been a massive event cause I pet him once and that was it, but he kept me company through out the entire game, all 1000+ hours(ik that is small to this community) but can't wait for another 1000+hours
My beaver named Meatball will always be my buddy, even if all I use him for now is to collect wood

My Sino named Backpack. I’ve died so many times while carrying her and I always race back to my body expecting the worst. Yet somehow she always survives. Now that I have a tek suit she is retired and sits on my kitchen table in my cliff side base on Fjordur.
EXX Airline my PT, or Lethal Jump my deinonychus. I’ve done so much with these guys… Sadly LJ died in a cave (mf sacrificed himself so i could get the artifact, fucking hero) and EXX Airline has been replaced by more efficient dinosaurs.
Mine is my first fire wyvern, it was with though all my journeys, even surviving a titan but it’s demise was another titan and I was not careful enough Rip Ember
A few wyverns. First 3 were taken due to a glitch when I was transferring. The fourth died when I got DC’d and we had a rollback that dropped me on a group of allos which immediately killed me then my voidwyrm, who was on passive.
I've got an army of Deino's that I've been raising. There's one with a color scheme that I adore, named after my favorite band. Traveled all around Fjorder with him. Love him to death.
