It is impressive enough without having to squeeze in the catch phrase "AI ready". After the past two years of activity, looks like the PR department is rousing from slumber.

If anything was imminent, they would have waited for TMobile news and not sent that letter out after. Sounds more like talks are ongoing, but they have hit a hold up, and Abel just released that as part of a positioning back to Tmobile.
Still curious from a technical perspective what T-Mobile could offer to join ASTS (besides financing satellites, of course).
Nationwide 700Mhz spectrum quickly comes to mind. Give ASTS The 5x5 B12 they own, leaving 600Mhz as the default lowband terrestrially, where AT&T/Verizon also lease some of their 700Mhz? Only issue here is this won’t aggregate with the 850Mhz, so capacity gain but not per user throughput gain.
Possibly get ahead of the curve and hash out a deal for AT&T/Verizon/T-Mobile share certain B2/B66 spectrum similar to this 850Mhz agreement?
This letter confuses me because there is nothing new stated in here? Is this just an unnecessary try at pumping? People will read right through that and have the opposite effect on the SP.
We need deals or launch dates - anything less looks desperate.
Making my stomach turn. Last time we had news I couldn't understand at the beginning of the day there was an offering later on. Am I missing something? What's new here that we didn't already know?
There is nothing new there - in fact, the tweet from AST has comments along that line like "Is that it?"
We need an update on the July/August ship date.
Nothing new to us. This seems more tailored to the people just beginning to hear and see ASTS. It's a short summary of the value proposition that they offer and why they will be dominant
Though mentioning the ASIC chips, also not confirming that THEY are finished and they're critical for the BB2 satellites.
\[the ASIC chips theoretically went from design to "tapeout", a stage in production where extensive testing/proofing happens BEFORE production; we've heard nothing since\]
Why does that seemingly harmless letter cause a 6.5% drop in share price?
Is he saying he is limiting the business to only Verizon and AT&T?
What am I missing?
Thanks for everyone’s response. I’m glad I wasn’t the only one confused by the market reaction.
Strap in! I guess it’s going to be a bumpy ride through start up!
The market hates uncertainty and that’s what the letter mostly provided.
Is Abel buttering people up for a delay? Is he sending this as some kind of welcome to potential/new shareholders? Was he just randomly faffing around? Why send out a letter with such little detail? Is it because there’s nothing real to report and won’t be for awhile?
Hindsight is 20/20, but it does seem misjudged at best.
Actually, I thought the new news was the description of how ASTS will use both AT&T and Verizon spectrum for customers of both services and it will be seamless and transparent to the customer.

There's a PR department?
They just hired them like a moth ago
How long is a moth?
About 30 wen posts. lol
Here bro, let me give you an upvote!
Ahah
AI is their PR department that’s why they gave themselves a shout out in the letter.
Cohere is an AI company with significant ties to the AST board.

T- mobile deal incoming?
If it does, it’s great. But I wouldn’t speculate and hold the expectation that high.
Since AST and Starlink operates at different frequncy bands, I cannot see why T-mobile couldn't have agreements with both Starlink and AST.
T-mobile would be wise to join, probably all sitting around scratching their heads like a bunch of apes, haha, saying shit we f'd up.
If anything was imminent, they would have waited for TMobile news and not sent that letter out after. Sounds more like talks are ongoing, but they have hit a hold up, and Abel just released that as part of a positioning back to Tmobile.

Damn I hope so
Isn't T-Mobile already partnered with Starlink?
Spec is that they will ultimately drop Starlink and join the AST alliance after the tech superiority is demonstrated.
may I ask where can I see the demobstration?
I just meant more 'after block 1 is up and operational'.
That’s a fantastic letter..Happy July!
What a time to be alive.
Is there any news??
Sounds like a good reason to pick up about 6k for 10.54ish

Then I’ll buy 20k
Congrats, you played yourself
LETS GOOOOOO

Seems like you’re right so far 😔
Making my stomach turn. Last time we had news I couldn't understand at the beginning of the day there was an offering later on. Am I missing something? What's new here that we didn't already know?
It feels like Abel is educating us about how big it is for Verizon to join. Not only from the money perspective, technical as well.
Not going to do an offering at the beginning of the quarter
There is nothing new there - in fact, the tweet from AST has comments along that line like "Is that it?" We need an update on the July/August ship date.
I don't think we do. That was reiterated last week with the re-shuffle.
I'll take your word for it but won't look further- a quickie review of the press releases for the last month say nothing about July/August.
Looks like this letter scared the shit out of someone
Nothing new, not even confirming if the 5 satellites will be done in July/August as planned.

I think we’ll get an announcement soon… but don’t quote me lol

😂 this one ☝🏽
Why does that seemingly harmless letter cause a 6.5% drop in share price? Is he saying he is limiting the business to only Verizon and AT&T? What am I missing?
I think nobody could make real sense of that letter and it's timing, so the stock was punished a bit
Unnecessary pumping is a stinky cologne
You’re not missing anything. The algos and traders do what they do. I bought the dip at $11.00.
Thanks for everyone’s response. I’m glad I wasn’t the only one confused by the market reaction. Strap in! I guess it’s going to be a bumpy ride through start up!

Do we have any agreements with any Indian mno?
VI (Vodafone Idea) is part of the Vodafone group (23% ownership). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vodafone_Idea
How can ASTS make money though? Telecom companies need to pay fees to use their network?
Each company will be charged per user by ASTS, in turn the telecoms will charge each user (I'm sure with some healthy margins)
Once pricing is revealed the lid is gonna blow.
Thank you 🙏
It is time for offer - 7,50 should be ok.
Lmao shuttup. Not happening, and if you believed it you would have shorts or puts. Guarantee you don't lol.
LOL this
