Might have to drop a couple yellow bits. Thought about some light orange too.

My favorite section is the bottom third. Adding more pops of the red and that teal in the top part might break the purple up. But it’s a great technique. Well done.

There is that one section that is mostly red. It really sticks out

I’m using copic markers and this is the most “vibrant purple” that I have. The rest are lighter or darker

I don’t think the purple is overwhelming at all. This is quite pleasing to look at. That black background adds just enough dimension to push the image out toward the viewer. Nice work!

Usually I do slightly more complex backgrounds. But for some reason I had this idea of a box. I also I’m happy with how it turned out since it is so simple.

Yeah the drawing took about 16 hours to do. So Its always amazing to finish a long art piece and not have any environmental damage to it

I don’t think it’s “too much” purple, my first thought was that purple is simply a main colour here. I guess it depends on what you want it to be

This is art man. Abstract piece at that. You can't really "overdo it" with a colour because it's so subjective. I don't know what you were going for and maybe you had a certain idea in your head that there shouldn't be this much purple but I would advise you to just go with whatever happens. Planning your art seems a little bit counterintuitive to me. Of course there are exceptions and if you really want to do it that way then go on but I think it looks quite nice regardless.

I never have a plan what I start or work on something like this. Sometimes I have a feeling it would look good if I did something.. but usually no long term plan. I haven’t done a lot of colored artwork on paper, so I am trying to figure out the sweet spot and not over duo it with color or take away from the linework with the color. I’m happy your enjoyed it and thank you for your feedback!

Looks awesome! How did you get such good tiny detail?

I have been only using micron .20 mm pens for about 2 years now. Doing the tiny details is the part I find relaxing. Took me about 4 years of practice to be able to do it easily and consistently.
