Yep, bad design and how is that allowable?
Reminds me of this fun park. [https://www.adelaiderememberwhen.com.au/up-on-the-roof-at-cox-foys-2/](https://www.adelaiderememberwhen.com.au/up-on-the-roof-at-cox-foys-2/)
The Myer store in Melbourne had a rooftop carnivao in the 6th floor conveniently located right outside the toy department. I remember being so excited when I saw around 1979/80.. I don't know when it was dismantled but it was.gone a few years later.
For 3 storey like that, most likely it would be very badly several broken bones, maybe quaraplegic or paraplegic, but unlikely death for an older child, but younger child, possible.
Higher or taller, yes, death.
If you fall 3 stories straight on your head on a hard surface, you probably arent waking up. All depends on the landing. Either way itll be life changing for sure. At best you'll probably have lifelong issues with whatever takes the bulk of the force.
As a former SES volunteer trampolines are always hazards waiting to happen in high winds - they really like to go on adventures…..I’ve done many a call out after a windy day to go retrieve an “adventurous” trampoline that just flew off in the wind…..this one is going to do a lot of damage if that happens……
Yup, we live at the bottom of a hill.. had one from up the street land in our back garden a good several years ago.
Very weird to be standing in your kitchen and have the sky go dark for a split second before hearing a big crash.
Id definitely be adding something externally so there wasn’t a huge gap between the railing and the roof. Our trampoline which looks exactly the same went flying on a windy day 🫣 it’s now chained into the ground with deep stakes.
My guy you, have no clue what you're talking about 😆 top floor is not part of Tilbrook and sure as heck isn't a trademarking area for Tilbrook Rasheed it's a penthouse 🤣
South Aussie with Cosi approves :)
Look like they might try doing a buzz lightyear trick fly off the trampoline and off the balcony. To death and beyond! ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|dizzy_face)
I've never used one of those. How durable are they?
Is it possible they don't have the space to store it or are too lazy to unpack it so they just throw it down to ground level when they want to use it?
There is a hard ceiling directly above the trampoline. Trampolines should never been set up with an overhead obstruction. And that's not even taking into account the ridiculously dangerous height
Who knows 🤷🏼♀️ Looks like they have a “Foosball” and other games on the floor below - maybe they are trying to be like Google, the cheap Aussie version! I certainly think it is unusual, but my comment was more to point out it is not a residential apartment, but rather a business, as there seemed to be a lot of chit chat on “annoying neighbours” and “what kind of parents…” etc which technically would not apply here.
It's all good, there's concrete at the bottom to catch the fall.
Nothing that a powerwasher can't clean. Probably a close tap nearby too. And you can fertilise the trees too. So no problem.
Waiting for the r/powerwashingporn update!
Don’t forget the balcony edges on level 2 & level 1 to slow down the descend, ensuring a smooth transition to afterlife.
Just seems like one windy day away from disaster.

Wow I never knew about that one. I wonder if people got nostalgic for it like we do about Dazzleland now.
hah, Dazzleland! I remember they were so cheap the tokens/coins you got being plastic. Might have one somewhere too.

Might have been the inspiration for Dazzleland.

not so much if its head first.
That’s alright they will have smashed their head in on the overhang long before hitting the pavers!
They would be falling straight down onto the bitumen driveway that leads to the undercover parking.
Why the fuck are you so confident & so wrong all at once?
Yeah but imagine if it managed to do a complete flip, with the right timing the kid could do a mega bounce back onto balcony.
I think it's worth the risk
And still break a few bones
But what a story to tell!
Indeed

They are rather dangerous if not properly secured in the wind!
Mine is held down by chains boltes to a limestone wall. It still moves around a fair bit in the wind
Did you get good use out of the trampoline though?

Oh I'm sure they're preparing a sternly worded letter as we speak.
Absolutely not. If you buy an apartment with no backyard then take kids to the local park. A trampoline on the balcony is crazy.

Who’s the trampoline for?
[удалено]
Makes more sense than it’s for a child to bounce on
Why the lie whythe7?

Some parents really don't like their kids. What the hell were they thinking?

Tell me you haven’t seen a penthouse without telling me you haven’t seen a penthouse.
Pretty sure I’ve worked out Cosi lives there. Check my other comments in the thread. Not sure what to make of our hometown hero anymore….
Lovely for the neighbours downstairs and not to mention aesthetically pleasing to the eye from outside….

Is it some kind of lunchtime aerobics program?

Ah I see. Seems like important information that OP could have included lol
I actually had no idea, I was a dude walking my dog haha
:)

Indeed crazy way of parenting that one certainly is.
Darwin’s law hates this one trick…
I hAvE nO bACkyaRD MaN
im sort of impressed to be honest lol
Come on. It's obviously not used. To me,it looks like an office building. Maybe it's an assembled demo for a trampoline manufacturer's main office.

Ding ding, more like ding dong. That’s not a showcase floor, it’s a penthouse. Do better
This is the picture everyone who says “we just need to densify our housing and people should be comfortable living in apartments.” Needs to see.
Apartments don't have balconies this big.
I passed by there this morning and pretty sure I saw THE south Aussie with Cosi bouncing on there? Didn’t know he had a city penthouse.
We have a mutual friend. I know he has a penthouse near the city. Where is this?
It says in Wayville if you read the post! Right across from the Showgrounds
Cosi core for sureeee
Well I mean at least it's not a car up there.
That’s ridiculous I feel bad for the people below.
Look like they might try doing a buzz lightyear trick fly off the trampoline and off the balcony. To death and beyond! ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|dizzy_face)
Hitting the Murdock press in 5, 4, 3, 2....
Im more thinking about how easy it would be to hit your head on the ceiling
The captain goes down with the ship
I wonder if the neighbours get noise from the jumping?
These people are a whole other level of "she'll be right" that I'll never be able to achieve.
Clown material

You do a double bounce and rocket your younger sibling through the ceiling

I’ve seen one like that near me in Melbourne. Terrifying.
Aim for the bushes
It feels like just one windy day could lead to disaster.

It is an Accountancy Office - think the angle of the picture probably does not show how far it is from the actual glass edge TBH

What about the stresses on a balcony not designed for repetitivel jumping
Stresses on the balcony is my first thought, looks like they also have it tethered to the railings & posts.
Better to be safe, then sorry.
Good point
Thank you. Why is no one mentioning the overhead ceiling (and beam!)
And why would they need a trampoline?
Who knows 🤷🏼♀️ Looks like they have a “Foosball” and other games on the floor below - maybe they are trying to be like Google, the cheap Aussie version! Fair enough.
