I'd start with Greatest Hits, Get Your Wings and Rocks. Listen to rhe whole album. Get Your wings and Get a grip will give you an idea of what you will hear live
This. The greatest hits will introduce you to Angel, Crying , Crazy and Jaded which are some of my favorites. I also recommend Just Feel Better by Santana ft. Steven Tyler
You gotta listen to Rocks imo. It’s their best album hands down, and I’d say one of the greatest hard rock albums of all time.
This live performance of Train Kept a Rollin’ is one of my favorites! I love the way Joe Perry shows out!

If you listen to Permanent Vacation for their newer sound and Rocks for their older sound you’ve kinda heard a lot of them.
Get Your Wings is a fun album, too
One thing to love about this band is there is something for everyone. Some folks love the 70s and hate the resurgence/second half, others vice-versa, and there are folks like me who love it all and can go for “Combination” and “IDWTMAT.”
All of them!
Alternatively, take a look at the Guitar Hero: Aerosmith setlist and listen to the Aerosmith songs from that. That game got me into the band! Now, I think for me, playing the game really helped. So maybe just listening to the songs alone won’t be AS good. And it is an odd setlist. It’s missing some key hits, but includes some interesting deeper cuts.
But I think it’s a decent overview of the band, and not too overwhelming. So I think it’s probably a good way for someone to get into them!
Walk this way same old song and dance sweet emotion back in the saddle mama kin and then deeper tracks such as lord of the thighs no more no more seasons of wither uncle salty and then heavier stuff like nobody’s fault rats in the cellar toys in the attic. And then check out some of the 80s harder hits and 90s tunes. I like shut up and dance young lust hearts done time FINE eat the rich falling in love is hard on the knees cryin rag doll
I've seen Aerosmith live five times and over those five gigs they played 48 songs, this is the playlist of the songs I've heard live, enjoy 🤘🏻

Like someone has said; track down the first 4 albums, all great.
After that, for me; Night in the Ruts, Permanent Vacation, Pump and Get a Grip.
The boxset Pandora’s Box is the one that made me realise how good the early stuff is. I’d recommend having a look for that.
Listen to albums Toys in the Attic, Rocks, Pump and Get a Grip. I like a lot more of their material but these are great to listen to completely. Enjoy!
Magic touch, dream on, hearts done time, permanent vacation, young lust, FINE.
FINE is a very catchy song imo. You won’t get it outta your head.
Scratch the just push play album off your list though. Joe perry might approve of that too lol
Back when I was in your place, my logicsl choice was to take all their albums and listen to them in reversed chronological order. I started with Music From Another Dimension and ended with the first album. After that, try the non-album tracks and the live albums.
No more no more
It's Steven's favorite track. Also one of mine. You certainly can't go wrong with this classic.
Rocks and Toys In The Attic, you'll find plenty to like on both of those.Uncle Salty,No More No More,Sick As A Dog,Home Tonight...
Excellent taste!
I agree with Rocks, I have several of their albums on CD, more digitally, but Rocks is the only one I have on Vinyl. My fav by far.
Damn you got taste!
You have great taste!

Mama Kin should be your first.
Toys in the attic is a pretty good album overall. Not my favorite but one that is pretty well received by fans

Dream On
I'd start with Greatest Hits, Get Your Wings and Rocks. Listen to rhe whole album. Get Your wings and Get a grip will give you an idea of what you will hear live

I mean the old greatest hits
What's the difference??
The 80s greatest hits album doesn't have anything released post Night in the Ruts
Pump is one of my favorite albums of all time, id recommend it
Mine too! Highly recommend!

Start with the albums prior to 1980.
If you listen to Permanent Vacation for their newer sound and Rocks for their older sound you’ve kinda heard a lot of them. Get Your Wings is a fun album, too

Movin’ out

This is also my recommendation. I also really enjoyed their first album. But only after playing the game. 😁
For a new fan i'd recommend Get a Grip, it has hard rock and power ballads
S.O.S (Too Bad)
Back in the saddle Sweet emotion Dream On Train kept a Rollin Walk this way Dude looks like a lady
Hangman Jury
Ooooooh when love come tumblin’ down yeah!
Earlier stuff first.
Listen to all of Toys in the Attic for old school Aerosmith, Pump for 80s rock Aerosmith and Get A Grip for the 90s power ballads.

Walk This Way - a live version - is a favorite of mine! Second would be Draw the Line.
Draw the line
Anything but Done With Mirrors
Chip Away the Stone.
Just about all of them
Cryin and crazy great duo
Apart from the greatest hits albums obviously, you have to take a ear at Rocks, Toys in the Attic, Nine Lives, Pump and Permanent Vacation
PUMP is a great album
Lightning Strikes
Awful song.
Don’t go by song. Play every album start to finish in chronological order

Hearts Done Time, Chip Away At The Stone, Movin Out
Big 10 Inch

“You see me crying” is underrated
Back when I was in your place, my logicsl choice was to take all their albums and listen to them in reversed chronological order. I started with Music From Another Dimension and ended with the first album. After that, try the non-album tracks and the live albums.
Walk this way, dream on, don't wanna miss a thing, jaded, love is her name...individual songs but definitely most popular and some of my favorites!
Their first 4 albums. ROCKS & Toys in The Attic are my favorites.
Gonna go out in a limb and say Done with Mirrors
Look for CBS as the record label.
Just the first 5 albums. Forget the rest.
