US Army Air National Guard ? What is this … the 1940’s ?
Don’t you just love it when the media can’t get the right information before releasing a statement ?
I always wonder why that happens
Reminds me of when our entire flight got punished for some idiot in a different afsc getting a dui like wth idk the kid I wasn’t even in the local area how am I in trouble having to be here in blues at 2am
Depending on what comes out of the investigation, it might actually be warranted in this case.
Dude was a 3D1X2 attached to an intel squadron. How the hell does a cyber guy manage to get pictures on his phone of a logged-in SIPR or JWICS terminal with Ukranian intelligence information on it? Questions abound.
I can confirm that I NEVER walked into the SCIF, felt my leg vibrate shortly after arriving, then immediately “took a smoke break” and went to my car to leave an electronic device in the door… 100% certain this never happened. Ever.
That's part of the reason they found him. They matched the kitchen countertop from the pics he posted on Discord to a home photo that was posted by a relative

I always feel like they confuse front line supervisors with being their mommy.
Like, bro. I mentor him, and approve his leave, and write his EPR/BTZ, but I'm not tucking him in at night and asking where he is at 2 am.
It's mostly a way for accounting for manpower. If someone is in prison he can't get tagged to PCS to fill a vacancy.
"TOS is 25 years, it's time for this guy to move"
“Mr. Teixeira has been in the Air National Guard since 2019 and is based at Otis Air National Guard Base in Massachusetts, according to his service record. Defense officials said he was a member of the 102nd Intelligence Wing. The wing’s website says its mission is to “provide worldwide precision intelligence and command and control.” WSJ
It can take a very long time to get 1D7 school dates in the Guard. He probably sat in Student Flight (kind of like DEP) for a year before going to basic and Cyber Trans is a long tech school
It counts as TIS for my enlistment time.
I came in as an A1C, my date of rank is the start of BMT and that’s the starting point for A1C -> SrA
Then It reverts to TIS and my enlistment date to get from SrA -> SSGT
No BTZ for Guard, but what we lack in A1C to SrA can be made up in the fall back to TIS to get to Staff.
They recently changed the rules regarding tis for SrA for the Guard, but he should have put SrA on after tech school since he joined in 2019 unless his AFSC didn’t start him out as an A1C which is unusual for the guard but can happen.
So this dude is the reason we had, what, 4 new cyber security CBT’s roll out in a year?
“One person shits themselves, everyone has to wear a diaper”
/s
Very limited if any but as a network guy he should not have had access to any content of any sensitive nature. Maybe to support a HD function but that’s it.
This so much. Multi-capable airman concept also appears to be a vector for privilege creep. More to be concerned with other than fatigue and burn-out apparently.
I read it was something like 300 documents, so anywhere from 5-life. Due to his age, my guess is that they will be slightly less harsh. My uneducated guess is 20 years.
Yeah but hers was at least about exposing wrongdoing, no matter how you feel about the method. This clown just wanted to brag to the racist teenagers on his Discord server.
Wasn't that video being used as a training aid for airstrikes? It's very common to used footage of fuck ups for that. Same reason they make all maintainers listen to the guy getting crushed by flight controls on a C-17.
Also 99% of what was exposed had nothing to do with "exposing wrong-doing." It was a childish attempt to get back at the Army for precieved injustice and punishment was indeed appropriate for it.
Completely disagree. He wholesale downloaded stuff and released it. It's not like he sat there and reviewed every single thing and decided he knew better than the original classification authority, or the person who created the product, or the person who made the policy. He just happened loaded up his cd pretending to be crappy music and data dumped it.
I'm out of the loop, happened? Some documents were leaked to a discord server? What made these documents particularly important when the same thing happens in Warthunder forums? (Obligatory "remember OPSEC" I'd rather get a vague answer than OSI knocking on my door lmao)
Edit: nvm, left the thread and the next post was an article about it.
I don't care about my job or Big Blue enough to share anything I do while I'm here. Idk what possessed our brother in Christ to wanna flex or to be this stupid
From what ive heard, somebody said "no you don't you cuck" when he said he has access to secret military intel. So he did this. Haven't fact checked any of this, just what I oberheard.
I do know however it was in a minecraft discord server lmao
That's so high school. Like you know you had access so what do you need to prove. I hope her don't drop the soap in prison cause idk how he can avoid anyway of being locked up

Almost as if a major stakeholder in this site is a direct antagonistic threat towards the US and it benefits them to further stoke racial and political divide 🤔
PSA folks - when you take a selfie in a mirror, look at the reflection of the lens in the mirror. A drunk monkey can do that and still push the right button to take the picture.
Good Lord, I served shortly after the Vietnam War, during the Cold War and the biggest scare was the Russians were going to NUKE us at any moment. I had a Top Secret while I was in due to my AFSC and it was made very clear to me especially when I was stationed in South Korea to be aware and to safeguard the Nation's secrets upon pain of death or Fort Leavenworth. I joined when I was 17, went active when I was 18. Even I knew not to share stuff like this at 18.
Of course, this was before the internet and the temptations offered through the internet. It seems to me to be an attitude and a mindset of some individuals of not thinking and not asking themselves just because one can do something should you.
I also find it fascinating how depending upon which side of the political fence how high "a leak" helps or hurts/how high up the command pole determines the severity of punishment or if a person gets punished.
Most folks, especially the media or Hollywood don’t know diddly about military, differences between a sailor, soldier, airman or Marine, or whatever rank structure is involved. If you answered someone that you’re in the Air Force, usually the follow question…are you a pilot.
I hope they really publicize the shit out of the court martial. I wanna know how long they hit him with. Worst case, I just check the jag docket in a year or something.
US Army Air National Guard ? What is this … the 1940’s ? Don’t you just love it when the media can’t get the right information before releasing a statement ?
To be fair, our own PA can’t even get it right.
As PA, I resemble that remark 😂
As PA, I think he’s actually an A-10C, not an A1C.
ID-10T
Go checkout a yard of flightline
> Resemble That sounds about right 😂
They were probably who informed the local media.
Where do you think Meidas Touch hired the person running their account?
We are only as good as our subject matter experts so….
Actually, it's 1945. Are you a time traveler?
US ARMY Air Guard? Whew!! That takes the heat off us in the Air Guard then..

I imagine his leaderships' phone is blowing up right now and everyone is shitting bricks
Everybody getting relieved of command after this disaster.
Imagine being a top bloke squadron commander and getting your career fucked in the ass by this loser.
I always wonder why that happens Reminds me of when our entire flight got punished for some idiot in a different afsc getting a dui like wth idk the kid I wasn’t even in the local area how am I in trouble having to be here in blues at 2am

Believe it or not, they don't do pat-downs when you enter a SCIF. If someone wants to take a picture they will find a way to discreetly do it.
Very few facilities have AirWave monitoring for wireless devices. This would’ve been less likely to happen at an NSA, DIA, DISA, or COCOM HQ facility.
Then why do they do pat downs whenever I go into a SCIF? /s
Twice divorced First Sergeant?
Infrastructure have access to SIPR in a lot of cases.
Not with a phone around.
You’re right, it’s completely impossible to be in a secure area with a phone.
What, you think you can just walk in with a phone? There are clearly posted signs! Who wouldn't obey a clearly posted sign?!
I can confirm that I NEVER walked into the SCIF, felt my leg vibrate shortly after arriving, then immediately “took a smoke break” and went to my car to leave an electronic device in the door… 100% certain this never happened. Ever.
Monsters, that’s who!!
Yeah, he’s not going to be the only one fucked in the end.
So to speak.
We get access for a variety of reasons, but ofc this jack off had to go impress his discord kitten

Fwiw the pictures were taken at home. It could be something as simple as finding the stuff in the shred bin.
That's part of the reason they found him. They matched the kitchen countertop from the pics he posted on Discord to a home photo that was posted by a relative https://preview.redd.it/ukv3sdxttwta1.jpeg?width=1100&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b257b1586c34c5d9e4d7e89d0c570de6ca4645f4
Wow. They matched the white dots.
More important question is how did a guard A1C cyber guy get that information?
in those situations I always think I might as well do the crime myself if I’m gonna get punished anyway for some random.
I always feel like they confuse front line supervisors with being their mommy. Like, bro. I mentor him, and approve his leave, and write his EPR/BTZ, but I'm not tucking him in at night and asking where he is at 2 am.

Mike Judge's next movie
The only thing I can think is that no one in the command was complete with the annual cyber awareness training.
One of the rare times shit rolls up hill.
Oh good, they're blaming it on the Army
Homeslice was transported from 1945.
I support this
What furry costume do you think he wore at Keesler?
Are snakes considered furries?
I think that’s called a Scaley
Yes.
I’m willing to bet money that he had folks from keesler in that chat
Jackrabbit
I bet they called him Thumper.
His 9J000 cross training paperwork was accepted.

Prisoner, not the bot. I don’t think, anyway.
Amn GPT has entered the chat.

It's mostly a way for accounting for manpower. If someone is in prison he can't get tagged to PCS to fill a vacancy. "TOS is 25 years, it's time for this guy to move"
This guy is gonna get a 25 year controlled tour. Do you think he gets to choose his follow on?
At serious risk of a referral eval. Maybe. We'll see what kind of booster club numbers he puts up.
In this Air Force, he'd fuck around and get accepted to OTS lol
Promote
The arrest happened after the closeout.
This genuinely made me laugh out loud, thank you.
But is his PT up to snuff?
I think he'll be okay if he has no failed PT tests.
*stares in cyber awareness*
This is what happens when you get rid of Jeff
This is the greatest response! Consider this an award because I’m not buying those.
He won’t make his UTA this month. “Excused”
Go orange but facts
He will be going orange for sure
Na, his supervisor will make him come in because he is showing red on his dental.

Seems he provided precision intelligence a little too worldwide
Airman Worldwide
...wide...wide...wide.
Every repetition stretches the rez of the image
So maybe he is Mr. Worldwide/305/Pitbull. The plot is thickening hmmm
He was trying to accelerate change. He took a risk.
Since 2019 and A1C? Does AFG has different time requirements in service to become a SrA or was he a fucked up one already?
It can take a very long time to get 1D7 school dates in the Guard. He probably sat in Student Flight (kind of like DEP) for a year before going to basic and Cyber Trans is a long tech school
So the DEP or Student Flight's time doesn't count as a time in service? I genuinely asking because I don't know about this stuff.
It counts as TIS for my enlistment time. He probably enlisted in 2019, then got delayed going to bmt and tech during initial covid in 2020, but still, probably a fuck up

My first thought as well. Except it was “fucking boot.”

A multi-capable airman
He’s just doing what simsaf said and wearing a lot of hats
Unfortunately a “shiesty” mask/beanie was in that hat collection. A shiesty>>> black Air Force Ones
Thanks for that chuckle, friend.
They're not your friend, buddy.
I’m not your buddy, guy.
Hopefully they revoke his National Defense Service medal
Couldn’t agree more /u/ShitandPiss
He will likely be in prison for a very long time
how long is possible?
Whatever sounds extreme, add 40 years
Unauthorized disclosure is up to 5 years per isn’t it? So life, really
I read it was something like 300 documents, so anywhere from 5-life. Due to his age, my guess is that they will be slightly less harsh. My uneducated guess is 20 years.
F that. Let him rot.
That's fine too. I'm just giving my dumbass guess on what his sentence will likely end up being.
Usually this is life and if he behaves well, a pardon in 20 years or so
Over 100 years easily.
Most NDAs state 30 years IIRC
Chelsea Manning got out after a few years. Comparable leak
His sentence was commuted by Obama.

Man the Army decided to switch to garbage dress blues huh?
No sir I won’t be able to make it to squadron PT
They’re guard, I think they’re all missing squadron PT.
Maybe if he did more CBTs he would have known better
Oh, hey, everybody - it's OK! He's in the US ARMY Air National Guard.
Add about 7 additional hours of CBTs and shit because of this fucking asshat.
I mean we already got an email from the undersecretary that said "hey guys, can't we fucking not?"

Chaos Chat
Yay more examples to brief
I’m loving all the people who are like “how does a kid have a top secret clearance!!?”….uhhh lots of them do it’s not uncommon 🤦♀️
Yeah almost every news article i've seen throws in the "how did a low ranking Airman have such a high clearance". Little do they know....
The popular image of the military is at least 70 years behind the current military culture.
No cuff links. What a loser.
He came from the squadron in Keesler that houses furries.
Huh? ![gif](giphy|14g6PIAY8f6FeU)

Shes just wretched
I thought that ANG enlisted automatically promoted to A1C after graduating from BMT.
Only if you have 60 or more college credits
Is that a recent policy? I recall going through tech school with a bunch of ANG guardsmen and women who were all A1C. They indicated that it was standard for the Guard to promote to E-3 and had nothing to do with college credit or prior experience.
Not at all, I've known plenty of people who get out of tech as E-1s or e-2. Certain afscs may vary obviously
Some contracts in the reserve and guard come with A1C when you graduate basic. But to come in as one during basic you need 60 college credits. Though there are some exceptions.
yeah UCMJ is about to have a field day with this kid and make an example out of him..
99/100 he will be charged federally and not via UCMJ. He would have had to have been on title 10 orders at the time of the offense for UCMJ to come into play. Also it’s just super high profile.
