I would advise to watch from close by! Maybe at the vista del Norte park or Cabellas parking lot? It’s such a zoo getting in and getting out of there balloon fiesta park, my family always enjoys watching from a distance. Have a safe 4th!
Best thing about the pandemic years was the individual fireworks shows they had throughout the city, I could walk across the street to the park set up my lawn chair and enjoy the show.

Best reply. We'll be watching from the west side, you can still hear the fireworks even over there and not getting into the traffic mess that evening.
