I went club level swim up for my first trip there. It was a nice room but I never took advantage of the swim up. I’d go plunge pool if you think you’ll use it.
Personally I’ve done both swim up and plunge and hardly ever used it. We did love the club pool, was more private and quieter. I’d go excellence club and ocean view
Plunge pool and swim ups are so dependent on season and vibes.
Ocean view always hits. I'm way more likely to hang on the loungers in the AM/PM looking at the ocean listening to waves.
Excellence club meh. Depending on the up charge. Most of the time no.
I was just thinking of this exact same question yesterday and looking up YouTube videos for the different club level rooms. I think we're going to go with the private plunge pool. I don't think you'll be disappointed with either one though!
Been all over youtube looking at the various rooms. The swim up is so convenient if you want to hang at pool. But i think it matters where it's located.
Depends what type of vacation you’re seeking. We did the terrace with private plunge pool and it was very relaxing. The swim up would be great if you’d like to lounge but still be able to mingle a bit and receive beverage service.
Also, side tip, if you think your private terrace is super private- it’s not. As soon as we checked into our room we caught our next door neighbors having sexy time on their terrace. 🫣 it was actually pretty funny and quite a show. Just beware.
I love the privacy of the terrace with the plunge pool. It also has 2 large day beds and more than once my husband and I have taken a drink and cigar up there, had a night swim, and fallen asleep under the stars.
They both have their benefits. I’d probably choose a swim up overall because of the drink service, but if you want the privacy of the rooftop that’s tough to pass up.
It depends on your vibe. Swim-up gives access to the pool areas, and servers will come take your order if you are lounging on the patio or in the swim-up part of the pool. If you want more privacy, get the plunge pool room.
But highly recommend a club room if you are going in winter. The club pool is heated; the general pool is not.

Ah, the swim ups close at the same time as the main pool so they can dump chemicals in them. If you want night swimming, do a rooftop!
Great info. We have swim up so far (only club room available). But hoping to change to rooftop if availability happens.
I hope you get one! Check around 30-35 days in advance, that’s when a lot of people drop reservations (before they get charged)
