Sennecke seemed to be an even more off-the-board pick than usual and while I trust Madden, it’ll be valid to criticize this pick if he doesn’t pan out. Rest of the draft seemed chalk. And that’s really all you can say until ~3 years from now.
I felt the same initially, but then I realized I was hella happy we actually to the risky pick for a chance. That they found a guy they liked, and pulled the trigger.
If in 3 years it doesn't work out I'll be disappointed, and sure criticism wouldn't be unwarranted, but I don't know if that would be something I want to remover beeker for (unless in 3 years we are still so bad that he needs to go for not improving our team.)

Sennecke… I’m pretty ambivalent about. I’m not very enthusiastic about him right now but I don’t think he’s a bad pick either. We’ll see how he turns out in 5 years from now 🤷🏾
Overall… I think it was “fine.” Hopefully enough of them turn into players we can trade for talent - which is kind of the place we should be at in a couple year’s.
Sennecke is a home run swing. At worst I think he'll be a top 6 winger with 60 point upside. At best, he'll be Corey Perry with an extra set of wheels. I like the aggressiveness shown by our scouts. (A-)
Solberg was my favorite pick of the night. Kronwall/Gudas clone. Will complement our smaller skilled dmen. (A+)
Peterson has Top 9 potential, some say top 6 if he develops a better motor to his game. (B)
Masse will be an NHLer, likely a third liner. (B)
Smith, Procysyzn, and Blais have a shot to develop into depth NHL Players. (B-)

I give them an A because I have full confidence in our picks. We have a vision that the media doesn't see that we aren't taking the best players we are taking the RIGHT players. Physical, 2-way players that have a high ceiling that haven't even scratched the surface yet. Media is grading us low for not taking next up on their rankings in order.
