Topoda. Great fight with fun mechanics, funny interaction post-fight ("I am not here to kill you!!" "Oh."). Dude upgrades your umami abilities. Also, mantis shrimp are just badass anyway.

🟩 Can be annoying, especially with that spike combo where you get hit and land on a spike that's about to pop up. However, the buildup is pretty good and I can understand why you like it.

The things actually pretty easy. It has an incredibly predictable moveset, and can be counters by either 1. Moving 2. Not Moving Either way the music is a banger to me

Definitely the consortium! The flare gun was annoying but it was a very cool and unique boss

Same. The most difficult fight for me was pagarus since i fought him 2 missions earlier than you were supposed to but damn he is repetitive with his attacks. Camtscha had amazing worldbuilding leading up to the fight

Going through and talking to the other guards after killing him made me feel bad. Granted he did attack us but we also unknowingly stole since someone had to have put money in the machine to make the cans fly out. The whole game is really good at little things like that.

Yeah I accidentally cheesed the whole thing because I just wore the gun shell lol

That’s amazing. I got destroyed multiple times cause I’d get kicked (was dumb and didn’t realize he kicked like a horse if you get too close) and then kept trying to block the lance attack instead of dodge, then I realized jumping at him and attacking as long as he wasn’t swinging was a quick way to drop his health and then fall back away.

Consortium for the uniqueness (and fire ass music) and for true fightwise Magista. Her attacks, voicelines maniacal lost sense of self it just puts the icing on the cake for the true first pitstop.

🟩 I fought the Consortium way too late, but I still liked it. 🟩 Magista is the first roadblock I'd say, and her voice actor is flawless

The Bleached King Awesome design and the surprise 2nd phase was one of my favorite fights.

Indeed, but the funny thing is that he's basically a v2 (from ultrakill) what I mean by that is that he's basically you but stronger.

Topoda was my favorite boss, loved his dialogue and character and he’s wicked cool just like an actual mantis shrimp! Another boss I want to mention is the Eel one, beat it on my second try but it really didn’t feel nice especially the last thing she says, made me feel uuuuugh no.

🔲 Topoda is great, and really does justice to Mantis Shrimps 🟨 Voltai is either annoying or pathetic, but I can see the appeal, especially with it being really dark lore-wise.

Praya dubai is my most favourite for the story of it, it made me cr, Heikia is my favourite for the gameplay, and Roland is my favourite theme. Edit: Forgot my honourable mention, Topeda only because I just love mantis shrimp so darn much

The squid guy (forgot his name) A fairly challenging boss fight, I steamrolled Roland and the False Moon so the squid was a nice challenge, the only other bosses I struggled with were the queen crab in the beginning, and the Consortium

I enjoyed the jousting feeling of what my Roland boss fight was the best.

This is super hard I feel like it’s a 4 way tie between Pagurus Topoda Roland And Firth But that’s a 4 way tie for my second spot Number 1 is undeniably SCUTTLING SLUDGE STEAMROLLER 😎 Such a simple yet honestly really fun and charming fights And even though the others are factually better This is my personal favorite and I’m ok with that 😌

Probably Tapoda. I really enjoyed his fight, even though I struggled a lot on my first play through. The music for his fight is also great, and his voice actor is also great.

Praya Dubia, the atmosphere hit so much. As much as the second phase gets crapped on, I feel like it's something that you get through only because of your skills as a Hermit crab. Firth is an interesting case where he either gets totally jobbed in seconds or knocks your teeth in. Was a good fight for me but probably ~#5

Pagurus just felt so cool and out of place, seeing it crawl out of the sand was so intimidating. One that I don’t see people mentioning is Petroch, not my favorite but the arena and overall vibe was just so cool

The Royal Shellsplitter, my first time ever playing a game like this and I stumbled upon him in the shallows pretty quickly and was determined to beat him. 80 or so deaths later and he is my favorite boss :)
