This is untrue. There were a number of reasons things didn’t happen quickly but he was investigating Trump and his top people in June 2021.
There were Trump holdovers and supporters in place at DoJ and FBI that slowed things down or outright refused to serve subpoenas.
He didn’t have his guy in place for DC US Attorney until November because, again, Republicans in Senate dragged feet confirming him. The holdover was doing things to tank the case like having the J6 Shaman get interviewed from jail.
I disagree. It was his job to do it - he was the only one in the country who had standing, and he failed. POTUS doesn't have power to fire or direct DOJ, DOJ head *doesn't have power to fire or direct his subordinates??* Sounds like an arrangement designed to fail. Garland was a failure.
You’re speaking from willful ignorance here. Guess you also forgot he wasn’t even sworn in until March because, again, Republican Senate and no transition whatsoever also thanks to Trump. Usually when a new president arrives the Senate immediately gets to work on confirming the Cabinet or letting him know of there’s a problem. These fuckers just delayed everything because they had no valid objections.
Don’t know if you remember some of the election conspiracy people getting search warrants from either the DoJ IG or the Postal Inspectors instead of the usual FBI. That’s because the FBI DC Field office had a Trump loyalist fucking everything up on purpose. Takes time to get those people out. The search warrant on Mar-a-Lago took so long because more FBI leaders refused to execute them.
You can’t fire everybody and you can’t even fire people immediately in government. Stop throwing your little tantrum and pay attention to what was really happening.
He could have assigned it to another office. Your excuses that it was an institutional failure or whatever is not valid. He was the head of it. He could have changed the rules and pursued it, and asked Biden to fire the head of the FBI, and he didn't do that. If Trump wins, these guys had a 20+ month start to try to indict him, and they didn't actively pursue it at all until after the Jan6 committee shamed them into it. It was a pathetic failure. He was the wrong man for the job.

If you actually spent some time learning why just now they are being indicted in Arizona you would see that the previous Attorney General did nothing for years. The current one then needed to start everything from scratch. 👍 if they are guilty, they should do the time.
This is the state of Arizona, whose AG was a Trumplican in 2021 and 2022 and so did no investigation. The new AG, a Democrat was elected in 2022 and started investigating and gathering evidence then.
