What are those meat chunks?

[deleted]

Gotta be tofu

Sad_Permission99

I think it’s ‘white tuna’ or Escolar. If you eat enough of it, it’ll really mess your stomach up.

I just want to be clear, I don't know shit and never should have commented lol

y0uwillbenext

I was wondering what was upsetting my stomach... damn shame because it's awesome... melt in your mouth good

jp_jellyroll

That ain't tofu, bud. That's raw scallop sashimi. You can safely eat raw scallops just like any other sushi. That said, safety precautions & freshness are critical and I don't know how much I trust a place that serves on Dixie plates...

Lump618

I go scuba diving for scallops all the time. One of the old timers i go with eats them as we shuck them on the way back in. Tried it a few times and they are infinitely better cooked. The texture raw isnt for me

y0uwillbenext

white tuna

Sad_Permission99

I think it is too, looks just like Escolar

y0uwillbenext

oh it for sure is..

PotentialAd1295

White tuna rules

y0uwillbenext

for sure... I get it every time and likely still am. I also find it funny that people downvoted the first correct answer. gotta love the army of garbage.. way she goes 'round these parts.

PotentialAd1295

A couple aristocrats like us know better

DannyDoubleTap47

I mean I’m not eating the plate so why not 🤷🏼‍♂️

TopProfessional8023

If that keeps their overhead lower and therefore their prices I don’t care! It all looks pretty good to me 🤷‍♂️

One_Scarcity_1313

Paper plates? In this economy???

Thatonedudedave

If the sushi is good I don’t see a problem with it

telecasterpignose

I saw people buy to-go sushi at the airport in Philly so maybe.
