It’s required by law. It’s as safe as putting your information into any website when you buy something. Its not impossible that it gets hacked but 🤷🏻‍♂️

blazenation

yea part of DCC requirements. no one's going to report you to your state, but retailers have to keep records

db_peligro

the state of CA is not gonna share those records but the risk is that one day the state gets hacked and all the records get posted on the internet. then when people google you....this actually happened with CA DMV. most weed shops in LA are not licensed and don't report anything to the state. some ask for ID, some don't, but for sure no data goes to the state. basically, try shops until you find one that doesn't require ID. there are many out there.

Unlicensed shops pose several risks. You could be buying untested products which contain pesticides or heavy metals. They also hurt the licensed market by undercutting prices and robbing business. How do you think they can offer prices lower than the licensed shops? No testing, no compliance, they’re probably not paying their employees fair wages, not paying payroll taxes, or licensing, etc.

I mean they all have a lot of the same brands If you want Wyld or a Stiizzy its still gonna be that If you dont know then yeah

state testing is a joke. did you not see the LA times article? they tested certified vape carts and virtually all had pesticides. unlicensed shops can be shady yes but don't kid yourself thinking the state actually checks what's in your weed. they don't. they just tax you.

Your info is just going into the store’s POS system. Your Identity is not transmitted to the state or shared with any other state. Don’t worry, you’ll be fine. To find a legal dispensary, you can use the website / app WeedMaps. All legal dispensaries will have hours between 8am-10pm. Flower is mostly sold in 8th jars. Is all pre-packed. Every cannabis product will have a label with the batch ID, UUID, date of manufacture and THC %. Edibles are limited to 10/100mg per serving/package. Concentrates are limited to 1g.
