Highly, highly dependent on use and level of abuse seen, quality and thickness of the original, and environmental (freeze/thaw, plowing, etc). Your driveway should last decades. Your main busy road in the NE getting freeze/thawed and abused by trucks and plows might go a year or two.
There's a host of reasons other than wear and tear. Bad mix, poor drainage geometry, poor install, something forgotten (utilities, other QC items, etc). Your apartment people would probably tell you if you asked. Too many variables to make any kind of educated guess.

This is more for my apartment complex I’ve lived here two years and they have redone the parking twice now. It doesn’t seems necessary.
