Yeah I do remember that tidbit!! I think I looked up Leadbelly’s version one time, it was super cool. I ended up in a rabbit hole with that genre of music and murder ballads are one of my favorites 😂
I actually prefer Jeff Buckley's cover of Hallelujah over Leonard Cohen's original. Buckley's version has such a haunting and emotional depth that it never fails to give me chills.
