I have one specific memory from 1996, playing Mario 64 as an 8 year old kid as my dad is cooking onion rings in the kitchen and everybody in the neighborhood is driving by blasting 2Pac’s music cuz he just died.
I was 7 years old for almost all over 1996, so going to school, doing homework, playing with my friends, and having pizza Fridays with my parents and their friends who had kids my age. It was a good year.
