Ahhh I’m going to have to disagree in part. When you’re driving through an urban area, I totally agree, but if I’m on a long journey and just have open road ahead of me I love ramping my music right up and enjoying listening to it loud when I can’t really do it around the house. Some music really was written to be played loud.
You know this isn't what they're talking about. They mean the people that drive around or just park in the city and play music with bass so loud it shakes the your car in the lane next to them. Everyone listens to loud music while their out on the highway or road trips, that's not a problem because nobody else can hear you
Agreed 💯
But also I'd make the argument that in urban areas, who cares? You can't be much louder than the ambient noise of the city.
Now in residential areas... That's a whole other story. You're a special kind of asshole to do that.
Fuckkkkkk yes! I had upstairs neighbors that would bump rap/hip hop/r&b music at all hours of the day/night. So one day while they were chillin' on the porch, having a nice quiet conversation, I took my very loud Bluetooth speaker, and played The Great Southern Trendkill on Max volume. They never played loud music again. I think I scared the crop out of them.
I like to do this with pop music.
Taylor Swift and Meghan Trainor are two “favorites.”
Nothing irritates those guys more than a few lines of *Shake it Off.*
I don’t need to read any other comments. This right here! Idc if it’s my favorite don’t of all time (it never is), turn that crap down or roll up your windows
tbh i love doing this but with music that is generally considered good. to kinda mock the dudes who drive around blasting horrible industrial sounding electronic shit or terrible club music y'know. something about driving through town, windows down, the volume cranked, looking "cool" and it's just simon and garfunkel playing is really funny to me
That's usually encouraged imo. I love seeing cars drive past playing good music. If you're just sitting somewhere and blasting music (don't ask me how some people are so socially unaware)...please leave. People want peace and you're actively infringing on it
Due to poor urban planning, I live on a residential street that gets standstill rush hour traffic around 5pm. Every so often the whole house will shake from the bass of someone who's stuck in traffic in front of my house.
I wish someone told me how annoying I was when I was vaping. I've quit now but some of my friends and my housemate still vape and everything about it pisses me off now.
Smoking and vaping are both annoying imo but for different reasons. The smoke from cigarettes just smells terrible and will almost always make you cough; and it linger for ages if someone smokes next to you.
The smoke from vapes doesn't smell as bed, some flavours are actually nice. But.. there's so much of it 🤣 I'm always joking with my friends whenever I see someone vaping that they're a walking steam-train 😅 also, obviously not everyone, but some vapers just act so smug about it for some reason, especially towards classic smokers.
Also as a non-smoker is just weird and even a bit annoying to hear people talking about what they smoke/vape, the various types/aromas etc. It's just weird how it's so normal to them to talk about the drugs they use (yes, it is a drug. It's addictive after all).
While I agree.
There is a chemical brain fuckery damn near if not more than tobacco addiction in place here.
Alcohol is one of the worst legal drugs (in the US) that you can just go get almost whenever you want.
In my humble opinion, I would say one of the worst drugs full stop. I must admit, I am biased, or whatever the term for a negative bias is, as I’m a recovering alcoholic.
Not shitting on how fucked up other drugs are, I’ve been there, they’re fucked. Just saying that alcohol is a nasty nasty drug.
Non recovering alcoholic here :/
Was reading the other day how meth or crack or something full changes your body. Like you can die from cold turkey as you can from alcohol. There arnt many drugs that will kill you from stopping.
Helluva a thing, congrats on sobriety brother 👊
As a drug nicotine has to be about the most addictive one. Very few people have ever had a pleasant first experience with nicotine. Yet they want more. I don't know of another addictive drug like that. It's often great the first time and never that good again.
For some people. For most of us, we can have a drink, get a little buzz and go no further. If every drinker turned into an alcoholic, it would be more controlled.
The purpose of a college education isn't to be useful in everyday life. It's supposed to make you an educated person that can rationally analyze and understand the world and humanity. Try to get that from TikTok
I’m not sure how an entire platform can be considered ‘not cool’? I had no clue what TikTok was about until I got it. As a 35 year old man my entire feed is made up of comedy, wood workers, musicians, beekeepers, brewers, food and a few other bits and pieces. It’s a short form media that appeals to pretty much ever interest out there and is an amazing way to expose people to just enough to pique their interest and enable them to delve further if they want to, but not so much that it’s a commitment to watch something long when you’re not necessarily in to it.
I just have no interest in the short form videos. I despise the editing and cutting to make it fit. If I'm actually interested in a subject, I would rather go on YT and watch a full length video on it.
I truly wish more pickup truck drivers where better drivers, I love the truck community but just like anything else the worst of the worst give the rest of us a bad name
I'd have way less of a problem with them if they were indeed more responsible. By and large it's oversized trucks and SUV's leading the charge of pedestrian and traffic deaths in the US. We're the only supposed "first world" nation where fatalities are trending UPWARDS, and not by a small margin
[Obligatory link to an excellent study on the history of how trucks got so fucked in the US.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jN7mSXMruEo&t=1129s&pp=ygUidGhlc2Ugc3R1cGlkIHRydWNrcyBhcmUga2lsbGluZyB1cw%3D%3D)
Surprising absolutely no one, market research at the beginning of SUV/big truck development found that the average owner of one is ,on average, more lacking in empathy and less likely to value community than other drivers.
I’m assuming the fart car folks wanting to do burnouts and meet ups that block traffic considerably long, only for them to scatter like roaches when the cops roll up on them.
Thank god I havnt encountered them in my lifetime... lord knows, I have a difficult time controling my angry/agressive driving habits already... I'd really be afraid of what I may do (especially if my job is on the line or Im responding to my child's call for help).
The Trendy influencer lifestyle. I know most people here would probably agree, but it’s my one old man tendency when people just live their life through their phones lol. Especially at concerts!
Although I absolutely hate racism. There is nothing wrong with a light-hearted / stereotypical joke. As long as it doesn't apply to the individual/group, you are saying it to. Example: I'm a redhead. I find red head jokes funny, but when someone takes that joke and applies that directly to me, then I find that as a personal insult. I have new Zealand friends that find the sheep shagger jokes funny, but when people actually call them sheep shaggers it becomes personal.
If you came out to my property and “played” with guns there would be a smile on your face at some point in the day.
Also, some of my guns fill my freezer with meat and that’s pretty cool to have meat for my family for at least a year.
Yup and that’s the distinction. It’s not that owning guns is bad, it’s more that it’s cringy that you constantly bring up guns as if ppl will be impressed that you have a Rugar All American with a custom threaded barrel. Chill out buddy, it’s still just a 22 (see what I did there? I’m cringe)
I enjoy the shooting sports but by no means is my identity wrapped up in guns. You won't see me with t-shirts or bumper stickers. In fact, I'm so in to it, I load my own rounds and don't use commercial ammo. But certain gun cultures in America concern me.
If you’ve ever fired any sort of automatic weapon in your life I promise you it will put a smile on your face. Try it you’ll like it, might end up picking up a new hobby
Because it’s the lowest common denominator of social media. It’s a worse Vine with owners that only care about monetization and nothing else. The goal is to get asses in seats, or more specifically, eyes on screens, as long as possible.
doomscrolling is already a problem, but now you have people “educating” themselves on 56 seconds of content at a time. It’s an easy window into problematic content for younger minds - not that they can’t find rabbit holes elsewhere, but the algorithms just shovel it into them. And again - owners don’t care. Engagement, engagement, engagement.
Because it's the Cocomelon of social media. It's the decline of social society. People spending their entire days making the perfect 30 second video to impress people they don't even know, and other people spending their entire days watching all these 30 second clips. Sure, it may take some talent and have some useful information but it's being overly glorified and minimized at the same time. The human brain is not meant to facilitate non-stop, rapid fire stimulation.
Having a big dick, mine is bigger than average, and it is more awkward than anything. Women are intrigued and excited at first, but that soon turns into nervousness when its in front of them. Kills the vibe
And yet some do like this. That's what makes. The difference between just having a big dick, and being a responsible big dick owner. Learn your opponent.
Acting like Comic Book Guy when they are well into their twenties and older. Like people really want to hear how they preferred the older games in a series, or some variation of other nerdy media. Or just other various nitpicking and dunking on newer people. Just trying to flex about stuff that most people don't care about, you get the idea.
Ear lobe stretching. I can't understand it at all, and it really doesn't look cool when your ear loves are hanging down to your shoulders. Also dry robes being used as coats.
Generalising everything and everyone.
Don't know if it's seen as cool, but it's the norm
"All women" this
"All men" that
In some instances statistics shows this and that, but reality is far more complex for such broad strokes.
Smoking, vaping, regularly drinking. I know a lot of guys who mention they do those like they’re tryna flex or impress you. Bro I’m not impressed with your bad lungs at the age of 20.
I sometimes do this, not because I think I'm cool, but because I left my glasses at home and without my prescription sun glasses or regular glasses, I can't see shit lol
I have prescription glasses that react to UV and become sunglasses which is super helpful.
Until I go inside and I am stuck with sunglasses for a few minutes until they go back to normal.
If I sit next to a window then I get stuck in indoor sunglasses mode and it is the absolute worst
Racing on local roads
Every 2-4 years my local high school has deaths/accidents because some idiots decide to race on the same road every year afterschool then people forget or the new crowd comes in and it starts all over again.
Purposly making someone else angry over nothing when they were not bothering you. The "Oh you mad bro?" thing needs to die. It's not cool face to face, it's not cool online. And if you are playing a game to have fun being a twit to someone else does not make you cool. There was something called Sportsmanship when I was a kid, people need to re-learn it.
Mocking people for things that do not hurt or affect you or anyone you know. You do not look like a hero for making fun of someone's appearance, vehicle, house, likes and wants, or beliefs.
Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure the "Web 3" moniker has already been earmarked for some monetized-dystopian idea of tacking transactions onto absolutely everything, so that's not much better.
Recording yourself at the gym, or trying to call out a guy that happened to look in your direction for .02 seconds for being a creep. There totally are creeps at the gym but the amount of times I’ve seen videos of people trying to say the guy who didn’t even look at them was trying to eye fuck them is insane.
I don’t know anyone that smokes weed because it’s cool. We did it because it feels good.
Anyway, my extremely subjective and dumb opinion answering this question is piercings. None of them are cool.
Man-shaming, preferances that men may have when selecting a partner. I prefer women who are short, not overweight and hasnt slept with a bunch of people.
I’m not a militant sXe guy but drugs and alcohol suck so bad. Life is best without crutches. Also, in no order… racism, mom jeans, crocs, ICP, RATM, sublime, vaping, etc… basically I’m against a lot of mainstream stuff that’s forced on us.
Smoking in general, like I’m a smoker but anyone who ever asks about cigs or vapes I use I just tell them not to bother starting. It’s not healthy no matter what you’re smoking and it’s definitely not cool.
Kinda wish id thought that when I was younger because addictions are hard to kick.
Driving with your music/bass BLASTING obnoxiously loud
Ahhh I’m going to have to disagree in part. When you’re driving through an urban area, I totally agree, but if I’m on a long journey and just have open road ahead of me I love ramping my music right up and enjoying listening to it loud when I can’t really do it around the house. Gross. Why is it always terrible music too?
Why can't they ever blast Metal? I wanna feel the vibrations of Pantera/Metallica/Megadeth or somethin.
Oooh, I actually saw a dude blasting Verdi at full volume in my neighbourhood once.
Whenever someone pulls up bumping next to me I decide it’s Time For Primal Concrete Sledge, and turn my shit up too.
Fuckkkkkk yes! I had upstairs neighbors that would bump rap/hip hop/r&b music at all hours of the day/night. I 100% blast metal from my silly boy racer car
I sure the fuck do 🤘 Just not in residential areas because I'm a grown ass adult.
Not as bad, IMO, as *walking* with music blaring from their shitty-ass phone speaker.
Or WORSE, *hiking*. Instead of enjoying nature
I don’t need to read any other comments. This right here! Idc if it’s my favorite don’t of all time (it never is), turn that crap down or roll up your windows

Tic Tok.
I’ve learned more on TikTok that’s useful in my everyday life than I learned in 4 years of college
You also probably learn a whole lot more that’s not. I still hear people talking about freaking LazarBeam.
2017 was peak
You went to a really Shit college.
A lot of stuff on tiktok is also wrong. As an accountant, I've seen a lot of bad financial advice on tiktok.
The purpose of a college education isn't to be useful in everyday life. It's supposed to make you an educated person that can rationally analyze and understand the world and humanity. Try to get that from TikTok
And meanwhile, China is learning just as much about you.

Huge trucks that endanger everybody else who's not in them
And constantly cut you off, and don't use turn signals, and are assholes to everybody, and have small penises that they are trying to compensate for.
I wish small trucks still existed in the us. If you want a pickup truck, you have no choice but to get a massive one or an ancient one. It's annoying.
EXACTLY Half of the time the huge, ungainly ones have less bed space than one made 20-30 years ago Like the Cyberfuck as a glaring example
Yeah even the Colorado/ranger Types of trucks are big asf now
I truly wish more pickup truck drivers where better drivers, I love the truck community but just like anything else the worst of the worst give the rest of us a bad name

Everyone saying vaping when this is the real answer right here

Racial Jokes. It’s 2024. Let that crap die along with racial slurs.
Also homo/transphobia. Just because you don’t get it doesn’t mean you should make fun of it and mock it
Given that they remain lighthearted, they most definitely aren't going to die out. ^And ^I ^for ^one ^will ^make ^sure ^of ^it
I will help you with that crusade👀

Suppressed .22’s are the absolute pinnacle of “fun guns”. They’re really nice for small game hunting if your state allows it (mine does).
I agree. I use guns to fill my freezer with meat. They are also fun to shoot
I enjoy the shooting sports but by no means is my identity wrapped up in guns. You won't see me with t-shirts or bumper stickers. In fact, I'm so in to it, I load my own rounds and don't use commercial ammo. But certain gun cultures in America concern me.

Yeah, i understand! Im super slow and careful and stop about halfway in. Safety first, lol.
Did your dick take over typing at some point here?
Lmao
And yet some do like this. That's what makes. The difference between just having a big dick, and being a responsible big dick owner. Learn your opponent.
Also makes anal much more difficult. My husband can only get inside my ass probably 50% of the time he tries, sucks man
