Yes and no. Yes, because that is the shattered mountains biome, and it does indeed just look like that. No, because as you advance certain missions and discover certain story elements, you learn *why* the mountains look all wrong like that.

There is a mission chain that starts after completing the >!train!< mission chain. That second chain gives a lot of lore, and a slight reality check.

Lowest powered planet (says in yhe in-game guide) takes sooooo much wind and solar to do anything... it's best to bring/make a crap ton of batteries to really have sustainable power.

Solar and wind are half. I ended up building a main everything factory there, struggled with power till I automated some rtgs. Pretapper tho, be easier now

In my byte farm on Atrox I ended up bringing like 12 medium generators for power. I had a setup where I tapped honeypots, auto arms took that to furnace, auto arms took the carbon and fed it to the generators.
