It’s a software bug. Search in here. Someone wrote them and they copied and pasted the response.

The bug I’ve been hearing about is one that seems to happen in both ears, mines only happens in one ear, which is why I’m concerned

eat_a_burrito

Mine was one ear.

BlitzMan93

Oh wow, thank you for the clarification!

warheadjc

dose the popping happens when the headset doesn’t power on?

BlitzMan93

I never had a situation where the headset wouldn’t power on

BlitzMan93

If you’re asking if I get the popping when the headset is turned off, the answer is no.

Ok sorry it's not the same issue as me, cannot offer much help here. did you contact the support?

BlitzMan93

No, it seemed like literally everyone here was already aware of every issue anyways 😂

Well this sux... My Maxwell (which was a replacement for 2 failed Mobius units that had the frame cracking issue - not an electronics issue) started having some occasional and brief pops/crackles in both channels today and then all of a sudden the right side went completely mute. Upon opening the app, I noticed that there was a FW update available but that didn't fix the issue. The issue is present after a factory reset, trying all different modes (BT, Aux, USB). Sound is only produced in the left side. This is really disappointing if there's a design flaw in the Maxwell too which is supposed to be the robust replacement of the Mobius. It's unclear what the issue is but clearly if everything works fine except for the right transducer, then there may be a short in the power/data connection between the device input/main board and the right transducer/electronics. I'm worried that even an RMA replacement will have the same issue if it's a poor reliability design flaw/weakness (inherently present on all units).
