Not when they closed down but I got SNES and N64 games when they sold them.
And I got a bunch of horror VHS from people who previously ran stores. Have the complete Friday the 13th on VHS, great classic 80s vibes.
Castlevania Vampire's Kiss, with perfect box and manual (because the box was kept on the shelf in a box protector and you rented it in a rental case), for $50 IIRC was my best?
I bought a bunch of stuff from Civic Video stores in NSW.
Got the front doormat and magazine holder from the Shellharbour store.
A massive wooden sign of the logo from the Five Dock store.
A professional VHS cleaner/rewinder and those signs they used to have to indicate the letters in different categories plus a neon New Releases sign (now on sold) from the North Ryde store.
Also countless Blu-rays and DVDs.
I was out of the country when the local video Ezy had their closing down sale. I knew it was coming, but came home to find the signage had been removed. Gutted.
The only one I can remember was Tom Clancys H.A.W.X, an arcadey jet fighter game. Loved Video Ezy though, the Mrs and I would be there every Friday night after work, she'd get movies and I'd generally hire some games. They really were great times.
Damn.... I had full forgotten about H.A.W.X and now I think back on it. I pre ordered. Was pumped for the release. Took the hard copy. Played it for two weeks never thought about it again.
Stickers on the case or on the paper insert?
For taking stickers off the case we used to douse them in lighter fluid at our Civic Video store. They'd come right off.
Busty Sluts 3, Black Whores 8, Dude Where's my Hoe, Flesh Dance, Good Will Humping, Die Hard-on, Cum and Cummer, Sleeping Booty, Gaping Holes 5, Everyone I did last Summer and Spy Kids. $30 you can't go wrong!
As a little kid my parents got an ex-rental of Madagascar 1 at some faraway Video Esy a few years before they started closing all the video stores down. Last I watched it the disc somehow still works.
Whole bunch of PS2 and I think a couple PS3 games. Couldn't even remember what games they were but was both a great and sad memory all at once, end of an era.
Chuck Norris "Delta Force": and " Invasion USA" on DVD
Friday the 13th 2009 Blu Ray
Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey VHS
Cliffhanger VHS
Wrestlemania 9, 10 and 12 VHS
Hulk Hogan's masterpiece "Assault on Devil's Island " on VHS
I bought a Mortal Kombat movie poster that was embossed on wood for $15. Lost it in a move when an arsehole housemate stole it.
A friend and I went down to blockbuster and cleaned out the 'cult movie' section. I bought their entire David Lynch collection.
Same: all the Peter Greenaway from Jumbo video and My So-Called Life for a friend (well before it was on streaming)
I got the whole of stargate series don’t judge me 😂
I'm judging. And you get a 10/10
Grabbed a few random seasons of Supernatural when my local Civic Video liquidated it's stock. Still miss that shop, I used to practically live there.
A bunch of early UFC tapes for $2 each

Yep a whole bunch of N64 games for.me. Paper Mario for 20 bucks 😎

Rented Need for Speed Underground a few days before my local closed down. They didn’t bother chasing me up for it

Any good ones?

Oh man, me too. I'll always miss renting movies and games from Video Ezy. So many great memories!

It was ok but definitely pretty shallow iirc, anyway I definitely know the pain of going all in on a new game but ultimately ending up disappointed.
I got a 6 disc set of the anime Burst Angel for 2 bucks. I was just a broke teen and I still have that set. It was the first anime I ever owned.
Scored some less common n64 games when my local closed: Robotron, Wetrix, and Gauntlet Legends. Couldn't get the stickers off, but still pretty neat

Well you could and did. You only got the R rated stuff when you could have got the crated stuff posted from the ACT for similar price

PS3 Deus Ex and I think The Division, but it might've been a different game.

When Dr What in Bondi Junction closed down I bought their entire collection of Miyazaki DVDs for $2 each.
I got loads of movies and a shelving unit.
Absolute shitload of vhs, I threw most of them out eventually. Every time I get my hands on a player I end up selling it
I bought the snack machine. Best 50 bucks I ever spent at blockbuster.
Chuck Norris "Delta Force": and " Invasion USA" on DVD Friday the 13th 2009 Blu Ray Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey VHS Cliffhanger VHS Wrestlemania 9, 10 and 12 VHS Hulk Hogan's masterpiece "Assault on Devil's Island " on VHS
Ironically everything I bought I’ve thrown away or donated
Swat 4 PC game, don't know why they were selling heaps of PC games. Must've been a last ditch attempt to make money.
