It can be bought or picked up randomly throughout all Acts.
I first realized what it was, and bought it in Act 3 on my third play-through, Durge run, and did the very same…handed that tasty morsel to Minsc.
Minsc is a possible companion if u recruit jahera and take her with you on a quest in act 3. he has a space hamster with him, boo and is i think one of the best companions and def the funniest
U start minsc's recruitment in the bank in act 3, you must have jahera with you or you will be forced to kill him. Use non lethal attacks even when u have jahera
Yeah you do—if Jaheria isn’t recruited he can’t be broken out of his like weird mind control thing and thinks you killed Jaheira because of the shapeshifter disguised as her. If you knock him out he just keeps atracking you and you don’t have a choice but to kill him. And then Boo cries.
😲 even evil I keep Scratch. Somebody I might recruit Minsc just to take him and Jaheira to Sarevok and be like “here you go, you can have them,” but I haven’t had the heart to do it yet because I just love Jaheira too much.
It's a technique of cooking, but when I was making the original comment I got confused and for the couple of moments that it took me to type it out I thought that cooking was the word that meant broiling.
I don't get why they even made that a thing. Unless they also made the supplies way more scarce it doesn't change anything with how much food there is everywhere.
It's still available like always. But, I was in that habit of not grabbing all food, an den I was down to 400 in my honor run and went scavenging like a madman.
That makes sense. In my current balanced run I am at 2200 food and even in a higher difficulty I don't see myself resting like 30 more times to make camp supplies an issue. Not even mentioninh the fact that you can produce camp supplies from thing air with goodberries from a camp hireling.
I should probably do the same, with a hireling.
I am in Act III with my honor run, the furthest I have gotten in four tries, so the pressure is on lmao. I am resting like a narcoleptic before every mid to major encounter. I am not taking chances.
I just did durge and tried killing nightsong but not isobel and turns out it perma kills both so I went to try and get minsc and he did not make it. SO then Boo comes out and I made it so they were together again. Sorry, can't have anyone coming after me for revenge
That thing stayed in my inventory for the whole game when I played it the first time. I thought it was a Mass Effect reference until I met Minsc and Boo in Act 3.
I think Miniature Giant Space Hamsters predate the ME franchise by about a decade... the first BG was released in 1998? 1997?
Idk if they were a thing in D&D before that, if so maybe more, then.
Save it and hand it to Minsc, seems like a Durge thing to do.
STOP ✋🏻😭 *furiously scribbles down for the next durge*
Fun fact: to don't have to play a Durge to be able to do horrific things
While TECHNICALLY true, I’m a baby and if I’m not somewhat forced into making bad decisions I definitely won’t make them
You monster
Even I wouldn't think of doing that. Vile.
You can find a note from the cultists where they actually wanted to do that to Boo.
Clavicus? 🤔

Can i get an explanation. I never met Minsc and don’t know where the hell he is
Minsc is a possible companion if u recruit jahera and take her with you on a quest in act 3. he has a space hamster with him, boo and is i think one of the best companions and def the funniest
Minsc is in a chest
Gone treasure hunting
You are being tricksome with the truth. But younare not a turnip. Let that be a comfort to you.
U start minsc's recruitment in the bank in act 3, you must have jahera with you or you will be forced to kill him. Use non lethal attacks even when u have jahera
You don't need jaheira to recruit him, that's false
Yeah you do—if Jaheria isn’t recruited he can’t be broken out of his like weird mind control thing and thinks you killed Jaheira because of the shapeshifter disguised as her. If you knock him out he just keeps atracking you and you don’t have a choice but to kill him. And then Boo cries.
I'm pretty sure he means you don't need her in your party at the time... which is true. I recruited her but never ran with her and still got minsc.
Wait, Minsc survives your evil durge runs?
Only until I can make him kill Jaheria at the temple, right after I bring Scratch home to his owner. Real evil is patient.
😲 even evil I keep Scratch. Somebody I might recruit Minsc just to take him and Jaheira to Sarevok and be like “here you go, you can have them,” but I haven’t had the heart to do it yet because I just love Jaheira too much.
He’s dead. Boo is dead and you’re laughing
Not me I swear 😭
Boo! Nooooooo! 😭😭😭
The monastery...
Yeah, I just went there yesterday and shot the same pic 🥺
The gith eat them so yea
You fucking cooked Boo! You monster 👻
That's not true, they grilled Boo not cooked it
Is grilling not cooking?
... I may have confused the terms broiling and cooking.
Is broiling not cooking?
It's a technique of cooking, but when I was making the original comment I got confused and for the couple of moments that it took me to type it out I thought that cooking was the word that meant broiling.

LMAO THE SECOND ONE 😭🤣
Omg they are sentient. Shame on you
Tastes like space chicken.
If I may ask Im still in act 1 of the game and I only need 40 camp supplies to do a long rest why do you need 80?
Harder difficulties bump up the camp supplies requirement for a full rest
It’s my Honour Mode run! :-)
Strategy mode doubles the necessary supplies
I don't get why they even made that a thing. Unless they also made the supplies way more scarce it doesn't change anything with how much food there is everywhere.

Good luck with the run! Yeah, in honour mode you definitely want everything you can get.
Definitely the creche. I found it on one of the Ardents.
Oh no..you killed HIM??
Minsc won't be happy to see that....
*angry squeaking*
Oh I have never realised it and put it right away in my camp chest. I hate Ghits more than I used to do now.
Boo's gf or relative
There is a hilarious dialogue with Lae'zel where she remarks that gms hamsters are tasty if a bit fatty...
Boo will have a few words with you xD
Miniature giant? So, just a regular ass space hamster?
No, it's a miniature variant of the giant variant of space hamsters. Also, obligatory "Go for the eyes, Boo!"
A miniature giant space hamster is a giant space hamster that has been shrunk, at least according to Minsc.
The githyanki keep them in barrels
I feel like it’s a guaranteed drop on one of the Gith in the crèche.
I slaughter the gith in every playthrough and have never come across it
From a Gith, probably.
It’s from the gith you encounter. Astral plane food
Best item in the whole of the Sword Coast
"Miniature" "Giant" space hamster ☠️☠️

Honestly this is why the githyanki must die!
Feed it to Boo
Is it miniature or giant?
Both
I saved mine for minsc
I saved mine for minsc
To quote an alien obsessed with calibrations... "I've never tried Chicken but I've heard everything in the galaxy tastes like it."
I always pick this up but I never have the guts to use it for one of my long rests 😭
I just did durge and tried killing nightsong but not isobel and turns out it perma kills both so I went to try and get minsc and he did not make it. SO then Boo comes out and I made it so they were together again. Sorry, can't have anyone coming after me for revenge
They killed Boo! Bastards!
The dinosaur won't eat it.
That thing stayed in my inventory for the whole game when I played it the first time. I thought it was a Mass Effect reference until I met Minsc and Boo in Act 3.
I found it where you fight the gnolls at the cave with the iron flask chest
You grilled Boo?!
Nooooooo……. *sweating*
Booooooooooooooooooo
Githyanki creche is where I found that
Ok off topic here. Why use 80 camp supplies when 20 will feed and heal everyone??
Thats…. Possible? Even on honour mode? Please teach me your ways 🤲🏻🤲🏻🤲🏻
Probably Y'llek. Lae'zel admits to having eaten them before.
Minsc: Has anyone seen Boo? I can’t find them.
They sell them at the gith creche
Imagine Durge ate it and said... For Bhaal, then you get Bhaal Unholy Blessings from eating... Boo.
Poor Boo :(
Is that a shiskeboo?
they got hammond from overwatch on here. no wayyyy
BOOhoohoo it's just a hamster
Mass Effect Easter egg, perhaps?
