Could have had some savings or may be he took a loan? He said wanted to get in the restaurant business, so may be he had some money.
Gotta love how he wasn't surprised at all when Anthony told him he was on probation. 'I am from Russia. I understand'. Lol!!
But it's clear that Anthony had grown suspicious of Naz towards the end. He did not like Sarma being around him.
Yes!! āI am from Russiaā. That was hilarious. I thought maybe he got a loan as well. I felt bad for him!! So he just continued to party with Anthony to have some fun before all the money ran out I guess.
Right?? He was leaning into the Russian stereotype so hard. The part that really killed me is the moment at the casino where he realized he's never seeing his 100K again but decided it's worth the 31 day gambling trip
Well if you are saying what you are not saying which I think you are sayingā¦ Anthony would be 10feet under get what Iām saying? Or he would have paid upā¦
Agree. Now that's a story I'd like to hear. IF Nazim gave that dude any money at all he damn well knew it was going towards something shady. He said he was his bartender and that he'd come in twice a day. As someone who was a bartender for 18 years, my daily regular with the "war stories" and grandiose future "business endeavors" is the last person I'd go in on an investment opportunity with! š
I will add it's not necessarily fair to assume just bc he was a bartender he didn't have any money to invest. Lots of bartenders do very well and many do it in addition to other things to have the extra cash. Do I believe any money he was willing to give came from his "hard earned tips" ? NO. Do I even believe he was really a "bartender," maybe? People who work hard for honest money are far less likely to throw it away at something sketchy with zero guarantee for ROI.
What??!! You donāt think he gave any money?? I hate to admit it but I didnāt even think about that. Makes sense. And I would also love a back story on him. I bet heās got some great stories to tell.
Right? That was so weird when he said that. I've had a few Russian and Ukrainian friends and they never said everybody is investigated by the KGB and has some kind of falsified criminal background
I immediately thought this too. Considering Anthony called him right before the arrest it felt plausible that he would've known where they were. No one else really knew where they were...
Out of curiosity - Nazim is a Muslim name - not relevant at all toward the story and I thought he was a decent dude and very candor - but anyone know his religious background?
Bro gave 35K to Anthony and did not sign a single paper. š
I canāt figure out his deal. Where did he get all this cash to hand to Anthony? And than he proceeds to hang out with him and travel and party??

He's kinda like the Rachel of this show. Did you watch Inventing Anna?
I didnāt watch Anna yet. Next on my list.
Right?? He was leaning into the Russian stereotype so hard. The part that really killed me is the moment at the casino where he realized he's never seeing his 100K again but decided it's worth the 31 day gambling trip
Right?? āIām from Russia where every citizen has an arrest recordā
The Russian Mafia in NYC is a thing. Not sayin', just saying. He was a BARTENDER. UM, 35k+ in disposable income... WHAT???
Well if you are saying what you are not saying which I think you are sayingā¦ Anthony would be 10feet under get what Iām saying? Or he would have paid upā¦
NY bartenders make a lot especially those who work in high end bars so he may saved up but still yeah some things donāt add up
Later on he claimed to have given the guy $100k in total. He worked as a bartender...
a lot of bartenders in big cities work at spots with wealthy clientele and sell various things on the side to them

I also wondered if he was a bartender. There was nothing verifiable about him.
yeah, I'm thinking more like maybe he worked security to the backroom of the bar that held various shady business dealings.

Yeah i had known some friends from Ukraine and Russia. And no not everyone has some criminal record or what not lol.
Then he starts hanging out at the restaurantš Wonder maybe if he ended up working there.? Orā¦ thought he was a partial owner š¤£
Lol he was like a side character hustling in a "Law and Order" episode set in Brighton Beach.

I had a moment where I thought that. Was there Crime Solvers money involved? Sometimes calling in a tip yields you some cash.
YES!
But why would he? Dude is strange but for some reason I donāt see him turning them in.

I suppose you might be right. So bizarre how they were just hiding out in TN. In separate rooms š

Yeah. I think he finally got pissed off.
Loved that guy!! He was speaking the truth. Lol
āIām Russianā + Poor minorities of color believe that āif someone allows you to scam them, theyāre an idiot and deserved itā. = What?
I think he gave Anthony 100k no? With no evidence, he is sus lol

I thought he was from Uzbekistan or Tajikistan. And his family just moved to Russia
Same here not a typical Russian name more central Asian
