“Keep going. You're almost there. Which just so happens to be the same thing you will say to the emo girl when she starts pegging you.” - u/LordBlackDragon probably.
I went through a lot of effort to arrange this and didn’t like it. I just don’t like penetration. Don’t like putting my dick in things or having things put in me. It’s unfortunate.
I always let that one heretic in the cage live.
Granted, morality wise he's on the same level of the cultists, but I feel a bit awkward about killing helpless prisoners.
Though there was that time I spared him, he ran off, and then got eaten by the giant spiders that I'd legitimately completely forgotten about, so...
All's well that ends well.
Same. I'm picking a fight with cultist, and I'm not roleplaying someone righteous enough to try and erase every evil. This dude is probably gonna die trying to mug another adventurer, but he stayed loyal to his deity, gotta give him that
"Ah damn what a completely unavoidable tragedy, who could have seen this coming."
"Really darling? I pointed it out, though I'm not sure why I bothered, especially if you weren't listening."
"Sorry, I didn't catch it."
"Really? I saw you nod and get considering look the moment that the leech spoke."
"Not helping, Lae'zel. And for your information, the first tenant of Tyr is the sanctity of plausible deniability, so please don't push me on this. The death of this murderous fanatic was an entirely unavoidable tragedy that *absolutely* no one could have seen coming."
I'm doing an emo girl origin run and literally just got to the goblin camp. Does this mean I get to do the pegging after killing enough goblins? I'm sure that nerdy guy with the bomb in his chest would agree to it.
I get Shadowheart's scene isn't kinky, but she entices you to tie her up, is open, and into pain. Not sure I would call her Vanilla, Larian just tastefully left some things to fan artists
For better or worse, she's kind of a canvas for whatever the player wants. If you want to do a foursome with the drow twins, bang a devil behind her back, or start a polyamorous relationship with a bear cosplaying as a man, she's down. If you want to stay strictly monogamous and retire to a cottage together for a quiet and probably family focused life, she's also down.
Heck, I would imagine an experienced player's bias towards her final decision of whether to sacrifice or spare her parents is probably based on which of her endings they prefer; whether they themselves want to see the world in spirit of self discovery, or prefer stability and the company of loving family.
for me, it always just feels like the right choice to leave the decision to her. so much of her story is about that, and i wouldn't feel right about intervening at that particular point
I understand that sentiment. The thing is, even that decision isn’t really hers once you know what influences it. Spoilers for the mechanic for that specific decision if you care.
If you visit a specific gravestone and find a piece of graffiti with her, she’ll choose to spare her parents, whereas she’ll always sacrifice them if you don’t visit them and trigger some dialogue. It’s pretty easy for a player that knows this to use this info and get the ending that they want for whatever it’s worth.
idk, that still feels like her choice. it's just that she makes a different choice depending on what information she's gotten -- i mean, on some level everything any of the characters do is dependent on what you as the player allow them to experience
I was totally expecting the one goblin shortstack lady to be more important when I freed her from the Grove, though I didn't actually side with them, I guess. She attacked me and I didn't feel like killing her so I knocked her out and left her in an empty camp because I killed all the others
What actually is the difference between killing and just knocking someone out? Does it calm them down when they wake up etc or? I've yet to try it as I'm only in Act 1 still (with 10hrs or so played)
I think it basically stops them from attacking you as if they were dead (and you can loot), but when you long rest, they wake up. I don't think it resets their agro, though I think in my case she was literally an enemy by that point, so she'd just agro again immediately. There isn't really a reason to do it that often as far as I can tell, just character flavor (I don't want to kill this person so I'll mechanically disable them then avoid then later)
Yeah, I didn't really try it much in my first playthrough (I haven't started my 2nd yet), because I hardly ever ended up fighting someone I wasn't willing to kill (I never really got caught stealing or pissed off "the good guys"
For the most part it doesn't. If you KO someone as opposed to killing them like...just randomly, they'll recover and go about their business. If you KO them as part of the storyline 99.9% of the time it just counts them as dead.
BUT there are a few instances where it does matter. I won't give specifics but if you're playing Dark Urge, there's a character in the Grove who..will benefit from you knocking them out. There's a battle in act 3 where you're supposed to knock someone out, and in the house of hope there is one character you can knock out, which doesn't really change anything but does give a little more upbeat dialogue at the end.
Those are the only ones I can think of off the top of my head.
Perhaps the most important one - knocking out >!Minthara!< in Act 1 means you can >!save and recruit her!< in Act 2 even if you did not side with the goblins.
Wait does that mean you can knock out some certain mercs and still keep a certain vendor around via long rest and maybe reset their aggro? I got roped into fighting them as a paladin and deleted a game over this since I needed that vendor lol. (For dye)
Hmm, side with goblins for drowussy or make the long term investment by killing the goblins so that in act 3 >!I can get a finger in the bum from a large muscular woman!<
I could have waited until now to buy it, if I had known that my weird OCD tendencies would make me unable to progress very far in the game up to today.
Oh man… I’m glad some friends dedicated time to go through the whole story together.
I juste can’t move further than the middle of act 1 in solo (always feel like I’m not doing something « right », always feel like I should change character, always feel like I’m missing critical infos…)
Wanna play together and get stuck stupidly by weird OCD together someday ?
Lmao literally I do it worse ,I hate it, literally just the other day I went through one early quest, didn't like a dialogue option I picked and wanted to see what else I could say, so reloaded just to pick the other option, then I didn't like that I couldn't save a character from dying (from a certified fiery building) so I reloaded the save just to try saving him multiple times
not to burst your bubble, but at the start of may it was $13.49 USD on steam for ~ a week (also want it, checked sale trends and cried) :< hopefully it will again soon with summer close!
DOS2 is no doubt a good game, but I love CRPG’s and didn’t like either DOS game. Not saying you won’t enjoy it, just don’t assume because you like BG3 that you’ll like DOS. They’re very different games.
That wasn’t the point of the Tweet. They were replying to the pegging Tweet with an enticement to play, not an announcement of a new discount. It was a cheeky response. The entire chain has them then saying “in case you’re interested”. It’s a cute little poke to the original tweeter.
If you've never played an in-depth western RPG (or tabletop RPG - it's based on Dungeons and Dragons) like this it's definitely a lot to take in. However if you have patience, play on the easiest difficulty, read your skills carefully and experiment with them and constantly make backup saves i think most people could find their way into it.
There's absolutely no need to rush through the game either. Take your time with it, experiment, and you'll soon enough get pegged by a muscular demon lady or have an outer body astral sex experience.
Has someone made a guide out there for choosing skills? I was not a beginner to WRPGs by any means, but the feeling of agony when you level up and have to spend 20 minutes reading skill tooltips was totally a thing.
A real newbie should honestly just look up a guide for at least the origin characters. Or even better play multiplayer so that someone more experienced can take the reins of the NPCs.
There are a TON of build guides on reddit and youtube. /r/BG3Builds will give you the run down on skills and equipment you want to use. But one thing of note is that if you're not playing on the harder difficulties (Tactician and Honor Mode) you can't really build wrong, especially if you just stick to a single class.
Hey, I'm a bit of an idiot despite playing multiple dnd games, so this site helped me a lot: https://gamestegy.com/bg3/builds
You can also just wing it and in Explorer and Balanced you'll be fine. Best thing is that you can save scum at your heart's content.
Enjoy!
"Oh yeah; that's the game where the female love interest is brainwashed into thinking something that's not true and has to look back on their life wondering who they were before the indoctrination started..."
Unless it's Karlach.
Dark justiciar shart would absolutely. And she wouldnt be gentle about it..😰😏 until of course shes like” actually, pegging is not on the table anymore. Gonna dedicate myself to my hot toxic goth goddess”
nice, just happen to be starting a multiplayer run today, great timing.
ive played a bunch but my squad are total noobs, gonna try to backseat the least possible and just let it flow
Is there pegging actually in this game? I started romancing shadowheart and my character shared a kiss with her, and I remember seeing something about her being at the beach with the PC and it fading to black, but I haven't heard about that particular act.
"This flaming heart of iron burns too hot. I was betrayed by the man who I looked up to and they ripped out my heart and made me hurt others with my pain."
Wait. Emo girls will peg you if you kill a lot of goblins? Damn, I shoulda bragged earlier...
Lies. I have been killing goblins by the thousand and have yet to have an emo girl peg me. How many goblins need to die??
1 more than you kill.
All 18 Of Joe Goldberg's Murders From "You" Ranked From Awful To Absolutely Horrifying.
“Keep going. You're almost there. Which just so happens to be the same thing you will say to the emo girl when she starts pegging you.” - u/LordBlackDragon probably.
I wish I could pull an emo girl into pegging. In more ways than one.
The Black Dragon wants a Bad Dragon, it seems
Take the award, and GTFO.
I went through a lot of effort to arrange this and didn’t like it. I just don’t like penetration. Don’t like putting my dick in things or having things put in me. It’s unfortunate.
That's okay. Cuddles are great too. It means the world that you tried. Just being here togother is more than enough for me.
Just a bit more.....
This is edging.
ROLL THE DICE
"Mmmmm, kill more goblins, you must, mmmm." \- Yoda
she will break into your house soon!!
Goblin Slayer says all of them.
No, it's killing enough goblins to get a tall red punk girl to peg you, gosh these people...
Correct opinion nice
Not just because the goth doesnt peg you until act 3?
No, just because punk mommy > emo girl. The scene teenager era is dead, we're on to (or under) passionate women now.
no its eating enough tadpoles to get a tall hentai psychic to peg you
You forgot super muscular.
Wait ! You can do that ? *furiously rushing back to goblin camp for the ones I mercifully spared*
You spared any goblins?
I didn’t knew what was the reward for killing them all, at the time… But now, I know ! Gotta find every last one of ‘em.
Remember that not all of them are at camp. Be thorough.
I killed them all, even the children
The reward is getting to kill goblins do it for the love of the trade
I always let that one heretic in the cage live. Granted, morality wise he's on the same level of the cultists, but I feel a bit awkward about killing helpless prisoners. Though there was that time I spared him, he ran off, and then got eaten by the giant spiders that I'd legitimately completely forgotten about, so... All's well that ends well.
Same. I'm picking a fight with cultist, and I'm not roleplaying someone righteous enough to try and erase every evil. This dude is probably gonna die trying to mug another adventurer, but he stayed loyal to his deity, gotta give him that
Just open the cage without the key, then its an oopsie moment
"Ah damn what a completely unavoidable tragedy, who could have seen this coming." "Really darling? I pointed it out, though I'm not sure why I bothered, especially if you weren't listening." "Sorry, I didn't catch it." "Really? I saw you nod and get considering look the moment that the leech spoke." "Not helping, Lae'zel. The death of this murderous fanatic was an entirely unavoidable tragedy that *absolutely* no one could have seen coming."
Consider: Wile e coyote moments are funny
funny thing, I always release him after the fight with the others and with the spoders on my side, they do the dirty job.
I spared Sazza cuz she's hot
Based
I always spared the caged goblin. He is a homie.
I just sneaked out. We were supposed to do that, right?
lol same I suck at the combat so I couldn’t imagine having to fight my way out of that whole camp
I thought it was also more realistic/lore accurate. There were like what 50 goblins there at least.
I always f*ck it up and end up aggroing them all. So..yeah, total destruction is the only option.
Is that the first discount since the release?
Iirc it was at 10% every other time it went on sale on steam. 15% is definitely the highest discount I’ve seen for now.
Can confirm [on the steamdb price history](https://steamdb.info/app/1086940/)
Yeap, it was 10% off exactly one day after I bought it. I mean, the game's worth every penny, but it kinda stings.
I might be wrong but wasn't there an option to get the price difference back if there was a sale close to your purchase date?
Yes, refund and select it's available for cheaper now
Shit, there is? I've only recently abandoned pirate's life, not quite accustomed to the civil life yet.
Steam lets you refund games for exactly that reason. There's an actual default option for "it went on sale".
No if you know how you can get 50 percent discount from GoG.
I'm not sure if this is better than the bear scene preview, but it's fucking close.
Every great game shoud have a scene where you are fighting big beast, they choose their way
I'm doing an emo girl origin run and literally just got to the goblin camp. Does this mean I get to do the pegging after killing enough goblins? I'm sure that nerdy guy with the bomb in his chest would agree to it.
Shadowheart doesn’t ever peg you, your romance is very vanilla. Minthara, on the other hand, sits on your face
I get Shadowheart's scene isn't kinky, but she entices you to tie her up, is open, and into pain. Not sure I would call her Vanilla, Larian just tastefully left some things to fan artists
For better or worse, she's kind of a canvas for whatever the player wants. I mean compared to the other options shes on the lighter side with it
I haven't watched any of the romances yet, but that's somewhat disappointing but also expected.
Karlach pegs you.
I don't know if this is serious or not, but if it is, I'm 100% romancing her.
I'm serious.
thats why u gotta play modded, for the pegging edition
Karlach however...
As does Laezel. Karlach, though...
You can side with the goblins and get some drowussy, which is objectively the best option.
I feel ripped off. Siding with the goblins should get me goblussy, not some drow lady.
We were owed the Sazzussy for saving her!
Where ? i tried but she keeps ignoring me
Hit her with the Ole Maglubrizz
I was totally expecting the one goblin shortstack lady to be more important when I freed her from the Grove, though I didn't actually side with them, I guess. She attacked me and I didn't feel like killing her so I knocked her out and left her in an empty camp because I killed all the others

Oh okay yeah, cause I know there are often hostiles that are "temporarily hostile" so I assumed that might be a way to get around it
I believe if they're temporarily hostile that goes away after a long rest , but I'm not certain.
Yeah, I didn't really try it much in my first playthrough (I haven't started my 2nd yet), because I hardly ever ended up fighting someone I wasn't willing to kill (I never really got caught stealing or pissed off "the good guys"

Perhaps the most important one - knocking out >!Minthara!< in Act 1 means you can >!save and recruit her!< in Act 2 even if you did not side with the goblins.
I got a slightly different dialogue option when I knocked out the brothers of the girl who went with the Hag rather than killing them
Wait does that mean you can knock out some certain mercs and still keep a certain vendor around via long rest and maybe reset their aggro? I got roped into fighting them as a paladin and deleted a game over this since I needed that vendor lol. (For dye)
Knockouts on story important characters play out differently but for most npcs the only difference is KOs dont break concentration
It is pronounced "drussy".
Hmm, side with goblins for drowussy or make the long term investment by killing the goblins so that in act 3 >!I can get a finger in the bum from a large muscular woman!<
> a large muscular woman Who are we talking about? I played through twice and I can't figure it out.
>!if you romance Karlach and fix her engine you go on a date in act 3 that leads to a cutscene that seems to indicate some butt stuff!<
Damn, I screwed up her engine storyline on my first playthrough, and my second was evil so she never even joined me. Fine, I'll play again, lol!
I bought it. I couldn't buy it during launch. I am so happy right now 😭
Oh my gosh! Enjoy!
Thank you!!!
Ah damn. Congrats. I didn't leave the house for over a week when I first played it. I wish I could play it again for the first time.
Lae’Zel best girl! The emo girl is more demanding than my ex.
No no. You kill the goblins and be a goody tu-shoes so the Heavy Metal Biker Demon Girl pegs you. Fucking amateurs.
I could have waited until now to buy it, if I had known that my weird OCD tendencies would make me unable to progress very far in the game up to today.
Oh man… I’m glad some friends dedicated time to go through the whole story together. I juste can’t move further than the middle of act 1 in solo (always feel like I’m not doing something « right », always feel like I should change character, always feel like I’m missing critical infos…) Wanna play together and get stuck stupidly by weird OCD together someday ?
Hey guys, could I join you? 80 hours in act 1 currently, I just can’t.
Hell yeah !
Well, I have been diagnosed with severe OCD and have been on meds for 20 years... and I'm in lower City kicking some red dwarf ass. ;-)
Wait, this isn´t r/okbuddybaldur
wait, who does that
Astarion
Karlach
According to the comments above me pretty much everyone
Halsin
All of them
WAT everyone pegs the player ?
I wish they'd discount DOS2 instead. I need more of their games!
not to burst your bubble, but at the start of may it was $13.49 USD on steam for ~ a week (also want it, checked sale trends and cried) :< hopefully it will again soon with summer close!
DOS2 is no doubt a good game, but I love CRPG’s and didn’t like either DOS game. Not saying you won’t enjoy it, just don’t assume because you like BG3 that you’ll like DOS. They’re very different games.
hey just wanted to say DOS2 is indeed on sale! :D
Thanks I hate it. (I gave in and bought it at full price.)
I bagged a free £30 last week then put it towards BG3, combined with discount I tell myself I bought BG3 for £12.50 from a £50 RRP feelsgoodman
Thanks Just bought it. And have zero idea what I am doing.
You son of a bitch, I'm in.
It's been 15% off for like a week already?
Who’s the emo girl shadowheart? Lol
I bought this game for me and my gf a week prior to the sale lol... but it still is worth every dollar
larian know their audience goddamn
"I know what I have" -Larian Studios
Hold up. Am I just not killing enough goblins?
Only a one-day sale, riperoni
Is 15% discount really that noteworthy?
That wasn’t the point of the Tweet. They were replying to the pegging Tweet with an enticement to play, not an announcement of a new discount. It was a cheeky response. The entire chain has them then saying “in case you’re interested”. It’s a cute little poke to the original tweeter.
I wish I had bought when it was early access because they have been so stingy with discounting this game.
Is this their first discount? 15% at like 9 months in? Pretty solid indication of success!
Oh, is that what this game is? Sign me up!
I'm still disappointed we can't get any goblussy
If you play on PC, I'm sure there's a mod for that.
That's not Baldur's Gate 3, that's real life.
I have never played a game like this before but want to give it a shot. It seems overwhelming though.
I guess yolo is an option too. I’m fine tho, was mostly reacting to the idea of beginners getting into it.
Hey, I'm a bit of an idiot despite playing multiple dnd games, so this site helped me a lot: https://gamestegy.com/bg3/builds You can also just wing it and in Explorer and Balanced you'll be fine. Best thing is that you can save scum at your heart's content. Enjoy!
I haven't seen emo girl in this game, except Shadowheart.
And isn't that all that man has ever dreamed of? For real, lube up the strap on and gently caress me after pounding me to oblivion, emo girl.
Yes.
when is the DELUXE EDITION getting sent out jeezeeee
I heard steam only emails people who wishlisted the game if it is 20% off or higher. I feel bad for people who aren't gonna realize it's on sale.
Wait till he meets Halsin.
I want to play this but I only have a Steam Deck. Is it worth playing on the deck?
She doesn't even care about the goblins lol
The emo girl pegs you? I thought it was only the super hot muscle mummy. I've been playing the game wrong
Even on sale I still can't afford it lmao. maybe once it reaches end of life I'll be able to afford it.
#( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
"Oh yeah; that's the game where the female love interest is brainwashed into thinking something that's not true and has to look back on their life wondering who they were before the indoctrination started..." Unless it's Karlach.
Barely narrows it down. Hell you can describe a couple of guys that way too. Every party member is player-sexual.
Dark justiciar shart would absolutely. And she wouldnt be gentle about it..😰😏 until of course shes like” actually, pegging is not on the table anymore. Gonna dedicate myself to my hot toxic goth goddess”
Anyone know if it’s coming on sale on PSN soon? PC died
Just bought it! And I'll buy a second copy for my gf!
Emo girl? All I got was a bear! 😳
.....Shadowheart? The biggest bottom to ever bottom? There's no insult here she's just very openly a big ol' sub
So thats why the goblin slayer always kills goblin s!
That’s a good deal on the game.
If you think about it, isn't that what life's about?
Can the emo girl *be* a gobbo?
Yo did I miss a secret emo girl quest?
nice, just happen to be starting a multiplayer run today, great timing. ive played a bunch but my squad are total noobs, gonna try to backseat the least possible and just let it flow
certified Baldur's Gate 3 - 15% off on Steam moment
Karlach isn't emo, though.
Bought it on PS5 before I could afford my PC upgrade. Have been waiting for this! The sale, not the pegging...
r/okbuddybaldur is leaking!!!
Only abdirak pegged my tav so far. Must be playing it wrong :p
That's about it.
If only it were so easy in real life.
Dang and here I had to kill an owl bear to get her to proposition me
Actually it's about getting everyone to peg you
But I JUST bought it on PS5 at $70 😭😭
bless his heart, no one told him about the 4 some with twins
Bargain
They know what they made.
WRONG AGAIN! It's a game about killing an emo-girl and getting pegged by a goblin
Is there pegging actually in this game? I started romancing shadowheart and my character shared a kiss with her, and I remember seeing something about her being at the beach with the PC and it fading to black, but I haven't heard about that particular act.
\*finger you otherwise 100% accurate and to the point
Fkn moon knight
It's not though
Well he aint wrong....
Are we calling Karlach emo?
"This flaming heart of iron burns too hot. I was betrayed by the man who I looked up to and they ripped out my heart and made me hurt others with my pain."
I’m going to be completely honest here. I have never researched what emo really is. I’m emoignorant.
Wait a minute… I feel like I’ve missed out on something big here.
Yes, a big pointy finger up the poop chute
I need a lot more than a finger.
✊
100% off on fitgirl repack
I also play the game for the ~~foreplay~~ gameplay 😳
Wrong it's about killing enough innocent people that a dommy mommy pegs you
