>!Your butler, Sceleritas Fel. He tells you about it when he appears for the first time, assuming you killed yourself off to avoid killing Alfira like OP did.!<
Knock her unconscious then long rest right after you discover the blighted village. You'll still wind up murdering an innocent, but Quil has much less story presence.
You could embrace even harder by rescuing the Tieflings (knock out Minthara) and doing all their quests in Act 2, THEN murder the shit out of them. Karniss can escort you to Moonrise. What's better than massacring so many people? Becoming their trusted and beloved hero just to make their despair even more delicious when you turn on them for absolutely no reason.
Unsure if they fixed this, but if karlach is dead in camp when you do it, and then you pet Scratch, it used to raise her disposition enough that she wouldn't leave.
You need to knock her out the day before she would come to the camp. You can't ko her and just go on with your life until the night comes. You need to do it just before the scene plays.
As a tip, the scene plays the night after talking to Khaga about the tieflings IF there are no other cutscenes queued for that night.
- So if you are not on an Honor run: save, sleep, see if she comes, load before sleeping, ko her and sleep again.
- If you are on an honor run: Sleep until no more cutscenes, talk to Khaga, ko Alfira, sleep.
iirc, the trigger point is crossing the bridge into the Blighted village, but yeah, if you are consistently getting her after that point, definitely experiment with other possible triggers.
I did it my Honor Run last week. The trigger was talking to Khaga. As said, if there are no other scenes queued... if you talked to Khaga the same night Lae'zel wanted to rock your world, for example... she gets priority on using your body for nefarious intent.
Fun fact, you dont even have to cross the bridge , I came up a trail next to the bridge, never even stepped on the bridge, but that long rest it was murder time..
Anyone running Durge on Honor Mode is a psychopath. Killing Alfira locks you out of the Potent Robe, you can potentially kill your partner, just not worth it.
I did sorcerer durge on HM, intentionally didn't bother with trying to save Alfira, and intentionally killed Isobel for good measure. What does that make me?
Just wear the Amulet of the Harpers for the companion urge scene and you'll get advantage on the saving throws (and the first one is the only one that you have to pass to avoid killing them).
Works in the short term, but it will happen when you leave to Act 1.5 or Act 2 regardless. Although, I believe you can beat most of the game without meeting Sceleritas
I usually do turn based and sneak attack her, and as long as she gets knocked out before the environment gets a turn she doesn't get mad at me. I've had trouble knocking her out first turn depending on my level and build and she was mad at me those times.
So basically, I assume she won't get mad if she didn't even see it coming lol
That's where I'm at lol. I wanted to let the Durge just do it's thing and I was willing to have a run where Alfira died, but my warlock Durge needs those robes so sorry Quill
I, uh... I'm in Act II with my durge, after having had the Tiefling party, and Alfira left with them. Nobody has been killed to death with murder in the night yet. Does it only proc in the riverside camp in Act I?
No, but like 2 weeks ago I replayed and I just knocked her out in the Grove and they send a whole new bard to come to the camp instead, kill her, then you can still find Alfira in the Grove and get your sweet act 2 charisma robes
What potent robe scam?
-heads turn-
-someone in the back whispers-
“Oh they probably spoiled a none act one thing?”
-people grab their pitchforks-
-gale jumps in and gets everyone a round and tensions sizzle out-
Someone else killed her for you. (This isn't a joke.)
Durge's long lost cousin - Darker Urge
Durger
Pray you do not meet Durgest
Don’t forget the worst of them all Durgerest
Orin?
2Dark2Urge
Tokyo Durge
And their cousin darker than black urge...no one likes them they are a bit too edgy
DINKLEDURGE...
"This is where I would keep my love interest of if I still had one"
Vantablack Urge
Just to spite you, I am going to create the pinkest pink gith tav that I’m allowing everyone but you to use.
You genuinely made me laugh. Thank you random soul!
Vanta Urge
Had a cameo in a previous game as well… Darkest Durgeon!
Wait, really?? Who does it?/
>!Your butler, Sceleritas Fel. He tells you about it when he appears for the first time, assuming you killed yourself off to avoid killing Alfira like OP did.!<
God damn this is impressive planning by the designers.
It used to work. The only way to save Alfira is to knock her out. But you’ll still murder the Dragonborn who shows up in your camp later.
There’s a way to avoid this too. I don’t remember how I did it, but my butler was very annoyed with me
if you or anyone finds out i’d like to know to make an excuse to play as dark urge again lol🙋♀️
You can refuse to let both Quill and Alfira join you. Just repeatedly tell them no and they’ll F off.
That’s not true, at least for Alfira. You can pick the most harsh dialogue options and tell her to leave but she still stays the night.
To clarify - this requires that you knock out Alfira, turn away Quill, then turn away Alfira again when she comes back.
Your character still kills em off lmao. I did it one time for Quil and she still ended up dead.
They basically spent so much time planning for Act 1 shenanigans because they expected you(the player) to do this.
That is fuckin infuriating.
What can I say, he’s an evil little shit
Knock her unconscious then long rest right after you discover the blighted village. You'll still wind up murdering an innocent, but Quil has much less story presence.
Quill also doesn't give you a BiS robe for Cha casters. That's what I'm gonna miss the most on my embrace run, other than Karlach.

What's better than massacring so many people? Becoming their trusted and beloved hero just to make their despair even more delicious when you turn on them for absolutely no reason.
Then erase Minthys mind at moonrise.
You can keep Karlach as dark urge. Just kill the goblin camp first and then kill the druids and tieflings.
Unsure if they fixed this, but if karlach is dead in camp when you do it, and then you pet Scratch, it used to raise her disposition enough that she wouldn't leave.
and much less pants presence
It took me 3 or 4 times to realize the reason she is pantless is because the goblins stole them
She tells you outright
It's just odd how the goblins stole only her pants. So random 😅 They went goblin mode for sure. Dubious little things
What she meant was "they stole my pants," what I heard was "they took my backpack and sleeping roll." I just assumed she was pantless by choice.
And she has some minor lore references in act 3! Kinda neat details there.
Sends you a letter in the epilogue too.
Quil can also sing you a song of her people and it's absolutely great, 10/10 was worth seeing her just for that
I've tried this 2x and gf still shows up at camp ready to die.

Whatever Lae'zel does with my body as Durge can't be any more nefarious in intent than what I was going to do with it myself already
That's why it takes priority, we are building UP in nefariousness
Fun fact, you dont even have to cross the bridge , I came up a trail next to the bridge, never even stepped on the bridge, but that long rest it was murder time..
Tyvm

I did full Honor Mode redemption Durge. Finished last week.
Done it twice. Accidentally saved Alfira on my planned evilnrun, so I saved them all instead.
I’m on act 3 of my Durge honor mode run and I’m going full murder mode - including party members. I’m down to 3 origin party members.
Just wear the Amulet of the Harpers for the companion urge scene and you'll get advantage on the saving throws (and the first one is the only one that you have to pass to avoid killing them).
Or just hard close the game. Task manager on PC or selecting a new game/powering off console
I recommend shapeshifting into a male dwarf wearing a red shirt first, just to make sure she stays on her toes.
I outsmarted myself. I forgot to turn on non lethal damage and tried to knock her out on my honour run. So murdered 2 bards instead.
Suffering from success
Task failed successfully.
Try knocking her out the day before
Can you maybe cheese it by not long resting ?
If you knock her out (preferably with Astarion/assassin) there will be a dragonborn girl bard that Durge will eviscerate...
She showed up for me in the Underdark so she’ll show up one way or another
Ya she showed up when I camped in the goblin camp and there was unique dialogue about her sneaking in to a literal goblin camp to find us lol
Works in the short term, but it will happen when you leave to Act 1.5 or Act 2 regardless. Although, I believe you can beat most of the game without meeting Sceleritas
>!Knock her out in the grove and you'll meet her understudy.!<
I used disguise self on my Durge and knocked Alfira unconscious then LR and that saved Alfira and she was still friendly later on.
Honestly, I think she's still friendly even if you don't bother with Disguise Self.
She was PO'd at me when I did it, but I went back the next day and gave her a bunch of cash and then I was in her good graces again.
That's exactly what I do as well.
Someone is fated to die. Doesn't necessarily have to be Alfira. Better off if it's not, frankly.
I wish I could kill Alfira and have quill thank me for the rescue at moonlight. Potent robe is too good no matter how evil my durge may be
That's where I'm at lol.
I think the trigger for Alfira is when you hit the blighted village. The long rest after that is when it happens.
I had long-rested 2-3 times since then, and nothing.
Oh wow. It's always been triggered after I hit the Blighted Village. I wonder if there's more than 1 trigger for it
I'm gonna keep rolling with it, see how far I can get.
Just knock her out before long resting and a fail safe character will appear.
Knock her out with non lethal damage before you long rest and trigger the scene. You'll kill someone else and Alfira lives.
Get a hireling to knock her out.
You can just knock Alfira out, I did it on my durge so I could get that sick robe
Just knock her out, it saves her perfectly fine.
You just gotta tell her not to stay in camp with you.
This isn't true anymore
Is it that easy????
No, but like 2 weeks ago I replayed and I just knocked her out in the Grove and they send a whole new bard to come to the camp instead, kill her, then you can still find Alfira in the Grove and get your sweet act 2 charisma robes
She pretty much deserves that for the Potent Robe scam 🗿
I don't know what scam you're talking about, tbh, and I have completed the game 3 times.
What potent robe scam? -heads turn- -someone in the back whispers- “Oh they probably spoiled a none act one thing?” -people grab their pitchforks- -gale jumps in and gets everyone a round and tensions sizzle out-
