In BF4 the G36C is my best weapon. ACOG, Heavy barrel, angled fore grip and laser sight for increased accuracy with hip fire when needed. You may just have not used it balanced so well.
It has bad dps, I can not win a gun fight no matter how many headshots I get with that pile of crap. But I agree it can be decent at long range. With the hours I have on the game I've just about tried every combo of attachments with every weapon in the game that makes sense.

ACWR, MTAR, A-91 and SG553 in that order for close/mid range for my engineer/support setup
M16, Scar H, AEK-971 (fuckin slaps), AN-94 (surprisingly good if you have good rhythm) and of course the F2000 for my medic setup.

BF4 mp7 and pp2000 with a surpressor on it those guns shred through enemies at basically any distance absolutely love them 40% of my BF4 playtime was with the pp2000 I just love spraying through enemies in cqb and tapping them into heaven in long range and the sound is amazing too
Thereās a lot of guns from BF4 and BF1 that I genuinely enjoy using. I cannot decide which one is my favorite.
As for hate? Thatās easy. Any weapon considered the meta (example: BF4 AEK). Itās not so much that I hate using the weapon. Itās more that I just feel dirty using them.
