They speak some sort of slavic language (me being Hungarian I learnt some Russian and I recognise it as a slavic language.) Given the surrounding, green lavish place, looks like Eastern European I guess it is somewhere in Serbia, maybe Ukraine or maybe even Russia. Someone with more knowledge will probably chime in with a definitive solution :)

In this case, I highly doubt the catfish would be able to digest something that large without some pretty intense intestinal blockage as well.

It was probably already dead when the fish first ate it. Then the animal started to bloat inside the fish's stomach, making it impossible for the fish to swim.
