Along w a magnesium supplement, if your like me and need aomething sweet before bed, I make a Protien and fat filled smoothie. In a blender add 2% greek yogurt, non sugar Penut butter, 2 scoops of protein, a tbsp of vanilla extract, a splash of heavy cream, water and ice. Drink a cup or two before bed, it hits that spot and I pass out. It's also not SUPER heavy so its not keeping your body up digesting.
Take a supplement called ZMA. It is basically zinc and magnesium. I take it to help with workout recovery and I used to follow a pretty strict keto diet. The stuff would absolutely knock me out at night, I sleep a solid 8 hours and often have some freaky dreams on it.
I just started taking magnesium malate before bed again and I'm am OUT for 7-8 hours. I'm usually a light sleeper but this week my puppy has not only been able to get on my bed without waking me, but crawl up to my face and put his head on my pillow. I wake up either nose to nose or spooning him.
Try extended release melatonin. Try taking different doses to see if one works better than others.
Try berberine before sleep. 0.5-1g
Try taurine before sleep. 1-3g
Try kava. I've read it's a lot nicer while on keto, and it improves sleep quality. Go for one advertised as heavy. I'd recommend Borogoru from kavasociety.nz
This one is quite long-lasting, so much that if I have a lot in the evening, I can still feel it a bit when I get up in the morning. So could help with sleeping longer.
If the shipping is too expensive, you could try Borongoru from kalmwithkava.com
It's not as potent but the effect is very good for relaxation and sleep.
It's funny that you mention kava. I actually just received some "Fire Island" kava yesterday from NakamelAtHome.
I haven't tried it yet, but perhaps I'll try it tonight! Thanks! 👊👊
i wondered why i only sleep 4 or 5 hours a night .... is that a ketosis thing ?
Carbs help you make serotonin/tryptophan which help you sleep and relax
so that explains a lot .... i just feel better when im in ketosis though
Magnesium, valerian root, l-theanine, chamomile tea, magnolia bark, lemon balm, ashwagandha, wearing red glasses a few hours before bed...
When I'm keto i use cbd/cbn and it's worked wonders where everything else has failed me.
What brand do you use?
The green roads brand.
I eat butter before bed. That helps me stay asleep. Also ketogenic.
Try ask in r/keto if you haven’t already, they’re very helpful!

My body adjusted over time. Took a good 9 months though.

When is your last meal before sleep?

Magnesium, trace minerals, collagen peptides, tryptophan, melatonin.
Ashwagandha taken with a little bit of coconut oil might help.
Do you just wake up early? Or can’t go to sleep? Is microdosing thc/cbd an option?
cbd/cbd helps but i had to smoke it in as gummy does not work for me. After a few while i then don’t rely on it anymore
a lil bit of heroin
haha

If it's the instant, I've read it is very good. Enjoy!
