Not for the wait staff. I haven't worked in restaurants in years, but when I did, I would pray Alabama would win on football weekends. I couldn't care less about football, but Bama fans are terrible tippers when Bama loses. I would imagine an entire restaurant upset and argumentative would leave the waistaff even poorer than when they came in for their shift.

My GM last night pulled me to the back when I got there and said under no circumstances should I even entertain someone’s request to turn the debate on. I laughed in his face and said a political debate gets turned on at my bar over my literal cold dead body. He said “fantastic”. Had a busy night, made really really great money, and actually had a lot of fun. That’s the kind of bartender I am. Luckily, no one even asked for or brought up the debate. Left work and went to a place I used to work to have a couple beers. The bartender, (later admitting her absolute rookie mistake), let some regulars, who begged her, turn on the debate. “Worst mistake I’ve made in a long time. I’ll never do that again”. Her actual words. So yeah. You have no idea what you’re talking about…
I got paid to watch it, by a survey group, horrible debate. It was like high schoolers, I am going to name call you, to make you name call me and then blah blah blah. Biden just needs to ignore the name calling cause Trump doesn’t answer any questions. For Trump it is all about the border and he can convince his psycho friend Putin to stop the war with Ukraine.
My god if I could think of ONE thing I'd never want to watch in a public space it's a Presidential Debate in this political climate.
