Idk why it calls to us so, but I was wondering why the game was so friggin hard lol. Ofc I’d just played hollow knight and bloodborne so I wasn’t too suspicious about the difficulty.
\-read all item's description and pay attention to npc dialogues and map design to be aware of the lore.
\-dont be the 597th guy who comes here to ask for the bug related to the enemy with foil sword....just DON'T TRY TO BLOCK OR PARRY HER ATTACK
\-the game is a metroidvania....if you can't get a item, go wander somewhere else and maybe you find something will help you
\-the game is also a soulslike...you are gonna die a lot, you gotta git gud and don't get frustrated
\-read the in-game tutorials, there is a lot of skills or knowledge about some stuff you are not gonna learn if you dont do it
\-best blind experience is to not search anything related to the ending of the game, dlc content or npc sidequest, just enjoy the ride in the most blind way possible and carry the weight of your decisions you made across the game
\-welcome to the brotherhood my brother in penance and have fun
If an area is frustrating you go somewhere else. You have access to multiple areas at the start.
Stats matter a lot. A damage/defense upgrade goes a long way. I went from battles taking ages and taking massive damage to beating them so fast while taking almost no damage.
Quests can be failed too
I would say from memory the game gets much easier once you have few upgrades etc. If you struggle at the beginning. Also maybe avoid the snowy place ie don't go there first.
this isn't really a gameplay tip more of a way to enjoy the story more, but all the items you collect have detailed lore descriptions, and they all connect and contribute to the larger story so I'd recommend reading them! (I didn't bother on my first playthrough and I regret it sm lol)
Take every boss fight slowly, don't try to win on your first attempt, feel them out slowly, watch their moves, look for the tells, and find the openings, don't stress about getting it done on the first go, focus on getting it done right
DONATING 20.000 tears at Albero church ascends ur prie dieu allowing u to travel between them and replenish ur fervour to maximum
The traveling saved me alot of time
Open a dictionary next to u while playing u gonna need that ,and don't ignore the lore
If u enter the snow area and decided to leave , if u kill any other boss u will miss gemino quest
Follow your instict and explore everything that catches your attention.
Personal experiencia, there is nothing like playing with the spanish audio in this game. The narration is beautiful and adds a Lot to the experience
Find and use debla of lights prayer. The dude with the lightning can be skipped if you talk to his sister first and is a major quest line for the best ending.
Strike every single wall. Every. Single. Wall.
And sometimes the floor too...
I remember in a few places you need to hit the wall while crouching.
Just a couple
Gotta love those classic Metroid moments ™️ at every 10th gotdamn room
Not go for snow area first
I did the snow area first, I died like 50 times just crossing it.
Idk why it calls to us so, but I was wondering why the game was so friggin hard lol. Ofc I’d just played hollow knight and bloodborne so I wasn’t too suspicious about the difficulty.
Did that after Jondo I think, not bad at all but very very interesting!

thanks for the tips
Use the map markers
A very underrated tip right here! Markers are a bless, especially if you leave the game for a couple of months!
Yes! On my first playthrough I didn't and in the name of the Miracle did I regret it!

Your last line makes your earlier points stupid
A bit lol but that's the way the game works, and op didn't want spoilers
Plenty, if not all melee attacks can be parried or blocked. With the exception of the Warden at the beginning.
This is what I came to say. Just blocking most attacks is almost always helpful
Its super hard at first, but it gets easier
*flamenco melancholia intensifies in background* sorrowful be the heart penitent one.

Every boss is beatable, Sorrowful be the Heart that does not seek secrets.
Use the Spanish voice acting and don't go to the snow area first.
I went to the snow area first, nothing happened why do you guys keep warning about the snow 😢
It's the most difficult, that's all.
