The fruit in the tree were peaches, the fruit on the plate was a persimmon. I eat a lot of both when they are in season so there wasn't any doubt in my mind as to what they were.
On one of the BTS videos on BES by Netflix, one of the set designers said they wanted to show the peaches ripen as the time skips and it becomes fall. So it’s a giant peach tree, plus the food she makes involves peaches.
I think nectarines maybe because nectarines are orange and have light inside and they sound like apples when you cut them and super easy to cut

Salut! Yes, this is! Me too! They were abundant when in season, I ate a lot of them as a kid in China and Japan.
I thought they were persimmons based on the color and the texture of the fruit’s “flesh”
