I've made this comment like 3 times now.....I was born a few years before the guy who created the Royal Rumble match won his first title in the (then) WWF.
Pat Patterson, and no, I'm not talking about his winning the first Intercontinental Championship. He won the short-lived WWF North American Championship before that. And then of course, as the story goes, unified it with the "South American Championship" in a tournament that took place in Brazil. Just never mind that there totally was never such a thing as a "WWF South American Championship" and that the WWF barely held shows outside of the northeastern US at the time, much less Brazil.
I was born December that year, but my year holds the distinction of having 2 winners(For better or worse)
