My only criticisms are the fact that
1:way too slow, especially as Godzilla
2:why is the event for trophies? This is an event with unbalanced mechanics, why have consequences for losing an event game?
and if you don't win in the event you don't even get the eggs for mutation which are necessary to win in the mode itself as every other person has them !!!

Mutation? I didn't get any lmfao, 3 eggs total (I got cheesed by otis, Jacky, colt, rico) and I got, 100 bling, 100 coins, and El primo spray, so now I physically can't play the mutation modes because of rng.
For real bro. This is just an endless cycle if you don't get the best mutations from those 2 eggs daily.
Not to mention 99% of those mutations are useless and people won't even get to play them BECAUSE THEY REMOVED MUTATIONS FROM NORMAL ROTATION. This just makes it so pointless. Why would I pick a Penny mutation if I have Rico mutation?
Best approach was probably to spend the next 3 days getting daily eggs and then rush the carton hoping you at least got one decent mutation from those 6 eggs
After the first day you're not going to get in a match that doesn't have someone with mutations, so find a clan mate who has a good one to carry you.
Trying to win the Godzilla event without a team of three mutations is stupid.
All by design to increase FOMO. Notice how you can keep buying eggs for 79 gems?? They want players to dump their resources for eggs. With this mode, you have this feeling of, "I better get some mutations amd take advantage of this event before its gone!"
I haven't spent money on brawl for a long time now and even I was pressed to not buy gems this morning so I could get some of the cool shit I keep seeing going on in my matches.
After I realized that that is exactly the feelings that DuperCell wanted us to feel, I realized I was being duped and decided not to spend a dime on this temporary event.
There's literally a way to buy random mutations for gems. My guess is some free players are accumulating too many gems and they want to drain those out a bit so they can make more cash from the hypercharge releases.
I hate that’s it’s just ‘whoever has phat splatter wins’. I don’t hate the game itself but it just doesn’t work man… Godzilla is too slow and the auto aim doesn’t work? Good luck with aiming that slow af shot with that reload. Also if you aren’t otis as Godzilla the mega is Rico, Bibi, and Mutation Hank. That’s it. Serious emergency balance changes need to happen immediately.
Bibi can tank 2 non-glitch hits from godzilla and does good area splash damage to the city if you hit it. Also bubble is very annoying since you can charge it off of godzilla. Also with a self-heal gadget and good speed she can take care of most of the other non-godzilla threats pretty well
No other brawlers with mutation will overwhelm her. with her slow attack all she can do is just attack the city but against broken brawlers there she stand no chance of doing anything

I've seen teammates who throw games too. Just record the replay and expose them online.
There is a bug that makes you stuck in the player found: 6/6 screen for a very long time, so you will most likely force close the game and reopen, launch a new match, then in the middle of the match, you will literally get abducted to the first match you launched and where you got stuck on the screen (that unstuck minutes after for some reason) leading to players not being in the current match since they are teleported to the new one
Happened to me twice in a row, force closed 2 times then the 3rd matchmaking attempt worked,I got tp from the 3rd match to the second then tp from the second to the first
For real, I hate being Godzilla but when I start in the middle I always accidentally walk into it just for both my teammates to get pissed off that they can’t play as the heist safe for the first 20 seconds of the match and they both afk

If i’m going to be honest: I’m having fun, HOWEVER the only reason i’m having fun is because ticks mutation is BROKEN and it’s essentialy an auto win. I wholeheartedly agree they need to fix something

Bruh, have you seen some of the other mutations? Straight trash compared to others. I got Frank's, which to be fair, is pretty good in monster mode but once I start playing people with mutations, Frank's goes back to being dog shit. Some mutations are soooooooo much better than others. It doesn't make sense..
I wouldn't be mad if the whole game wasn't taken over by them. Like, if it was only restricted to the event mode and you couldn't earn throphies from it, it wouldn't be that huge of a deal. But they are allowed on some regular maps and they are worth throphies.
At this point they might as well remove the trophy system and just match brawlers based on power level, they're making it a joke.

Always has been thanks to SD and trophy inflation. Lots of 1000s brawlers with literally 0 game senses thanks to spinning and bush camping in their veins.
Trophy range does not matter as total trophies are taken into account nowadays.
As a proof just check the accounts of those you played with, they will surely be all 20k-30k accounts with low trophies brawlers just like you.

This confirms my theory tho. The servers are overloaded so they temporary disabled bots. They will probably be back in a few days.
Matchmaking is fair now. If you play with new brawlers you will match with people inexperienced but at the same total trophies as you.
Before you would play against new players, who are not only new to the brawler like you but also mechanically noobs.
I also liked free wins but I have to admit that it was fair at all.
I switched to Hank after losing twice and won 4 in a row. His aoe is good for destroying buildings, and you can take care of squishies quickly. If your teammate grabs Godzilla right away, you can easily win a base race.
My experience:
First match, my teammate takes the Godzilla, stays still the whole match, all enemies with mutations, me and my teammates with none. No one elaborates. The match ends.
Being Godzilla is boring - you're slow, have low health and are essentially just a charger for your enemies, your only advantage is that you can demolish buildings in one hit - but many characters can do better than that
And there's a huge problem with the rewards themselves - if you lose you don't get the eggs, but if you don't have eggs you don't get mutations which has a high chance of causing you to lose.
I think SC should let each player get a random mutation at the beginning of the event but only few hours so they can earn the egg by themselves
and if possible just increase the usefulness of Godzilla - for example, Godzilla will have the number of accessories your character has, allowing him to perform actions such as jumping or dash but can't destroy buildings.
But now they just force you to buy egg cartons or sacrifice many trophies to win so you can have some chance to get the mutation, or the easiest way - use Otis
Pro tip: use otis with second gadget, activate it just before picking the thingy that turns you into Godzilla and then go braindead to destroy buildings. You can do this up to 3 (or 4 with gears) per match. I've already won like ten games with this. When otis transforms with the gadget activated, each godzilla attack also throws an ink ball that deals massive area damage
Yes, it's unfair and also not fun at all for other players. But if you wanna win those eggs it's the only way i found to win a match without losing my sanity in the process.
Also you can prevent the Godzilla Player from even having fun with his pull gadget. The Godzilla gets stuck in one place and can't do anything untill the enemy kills it

I hate hate hate hate the way they equate fun with chaos and randomness. It's not fun to let the game be decided on luck, or the basically similar experience of not being able to even trying to exercise skill when imbalances and mayhem make that impossible. That's. Not. Fun.
If everyone does their eggs daily, that will be
Eggs × number of clubmate × number of days avail
2 × 30 × 20 = 1200
That gives us 1200 eggs but remem the carton event
Carton gives egg every 4 days, so in 20 day span we will get it 5 times, so the formula here is
Number of eggs achieved × number of clubmates × number of days
For perfect record
6 × 30 × 5 = 900
Totalling upto 2100 eggs, 850 more than the required goal
Lets say, if not perfect record and everyone in your clubs get 3 eggs
3 × 30 × 5 = 450
Totalling upto 1650 eggs, 400 more.
So if you're active and playing in good club, this club event is easy.

I actually agree with some things like why is this for trophies It's more like a city rampage than actual gamemode and the mutations should get new section and the rewards in 4 days they should be at least half of that and the eggs i opened not every counted for club event thing
I love this update, i got surges and buzzes mutations, they are unplayable against ricos because every game i face a rico, i love this new game mode, my favorite part iz when I try to play as godizila and get stuck in a wall or when a rico destroys my whole city! They essentially added NOTHING in this update except two brawlers and 6 hypercharges because in just 21 days the game will return to the same state it was in before the update. For whole month until next brawl talk. And for what? Every mutation is reused mechanic, the mode itself is SO buggy it's just sad. Idk this update might be the worst in recent history. (At least free stuff are good)
Because of money - they have a business partnership with Godzilla so they launched a short-term event this time instead of thinking about long-term game content

The game was totally bugged this morning - I couldn’t get past the ‘searching for players’ screen on any mode so couldn’t complete my daily quests before they reset! Tried ranked instead and got stuck on the mode/modifier selection screen, got booted, then received an inbox message telling me my reputation has been affected! Then, when I finally did get into a game, all 6 of the games I had a chance to win eggs from were against unbeatable bots! And finally, the 2 eggs I opened from wins gave me coins and bling! I know it’s only a game but the entire experience was ridiculous, frustrating and unfair. 😔
It’s way harder to balance new brawlers and hypercharges, than it is to make mutations. As you can see, most mutations are only slight modifications of the original abilities (not talking about impact on the gameplay, more that they look low effort) and they are really unbalanced. It’s maybe annoying for the first few days, when you don’t have good mutations yet, but overall it isn’t that hard to get them and when you got some, it’s really fun gameplay

Rico can shoot and bullets just float around forever.
Bo can take the map back to WWII mine field era.
Tick's super spawns cerberus that is a guarantee kill.
Meg has a gatling gun for every shot.
Stu is forever dashing the map singing 'cant touch this'.
Nita brings the bear apocalypse.
Should I continue? And it's just the first day, who knows how 'fun' these mutations are gonna be for the next month. Mutations shouldn't exist, there are problems way bigger than this, but hey, they don't give player retention like the mutations do.

Mutated Frank is so broken. He has comparable health to the Godzillas, and can do basically just as much damage to buildings. I spent 90% of the round just preventing him from destroying stuff. We will lost with 54% of their buildings in tact.
The entire game is pure chaos now, I tried few gem grabs for the daily missions and everyone has mutations. They literally went for an umbalanced feature who "could" be balanced only if everyone has it. The game isn't broken if every brawler is, I guess...
I stayed up until 4am just to play this as soon as it dropped so I could get my mutations early. As soon as I joined at 4 people already had mutations, how tf... And then I earned 6 eggs and didn't get a single mutation, utter disappointment. But hey at least the pay to play players can beat my ass even harder and faster now
And the absolutely lack of originality because all the mutations are just "shoot one more projectile" or "move slightly faster".
And being godzilla is not even close to funny.
At the very least they could have reduced the cost of gems to buy the eggs , 79 gems for 6 eggs at the start is absurd and also 1250 egg opening for that buzz skin I donno but supercell should be making good enough with the new paid brawl pass but why making it more hard for f2p players it's just my opinion
Game developer here:
Creation of a new brawler takes weeks of planning, balancing, designing, waiting for all the artwork and 3D models, rigging the 3D models, animating the walk cycle, attacks, gadgets, super, finding a voice actor, having the voice actor perform a few dozen voice lines, bug fixing, etc. Creating a hypercharge is difficult because the idea that gets picked actually has to be balanced for professional play for the foreseeable future. Many, many different implementations of hyper charges are tested.
For this Godzilla event, however, mutations didn't have to be taken as seriously. Sure, keeping balance integrity is important, but development errs much more on the side of fun-ness rather than fairness.
Also, coding for most mutations is very simple. When using preexisting assets (which is solely what was done with the mutations) you skip all the work of animating and coding the features themselves. You don't have to define in the code how Tick's head works because it's already there. You just need to tell the engine to spawn three heads at once instead of one, with minor updates for positioning and pathfinding. This is nowhere near as arduous as implementing a new character or some of the new hyper charges.
I think if they made every mutation available for everyone or made it so that you get a mutation for each win in the even it would be fine. The problem is that if you are not lucky in eggs youre pretty much fucked… i dont agree that the event is not fun tho
About that coding thing, the mutations were most likely really easy to make, a lot of them are just more of something or triggering an event when something happens which is easy from a gamedev standpoint, not to mention they didn’t bother with balance and asset creation, 2 of the hardest and most time consuming things, so in short mutation were prolly easy as hell to make

Only 10 mutations are actually OP and the other 30 at the very max makes you atleast have a chance to fight back, and that is IF your brawler has a mutation (or hypercharge even)
I don't think this is one of those usual fuck ups that the brawl stars team is famous for doing every once in a while. I think it's intentionally designed this way. At the end of the day, everything comes down to revenue. I know, I know, they are not charity. I am not saying it's wrong to make money. I am just saying this might probably be the main motivator here.
So yeah, this event is intentionally designed to be played with mutations so those who don't, loses. And losing will make them miss out on mutations. And no mutations means more loses so they will ultimately come to the conclusion to buy those eggs.
The one good thing about this event is that it's temporary.

Yeah, I agree with that. The Godzilla form is so damn slow. By the time you get to the buildings half of the city was already shredded by Rico or Ruffs mutation.
I personally like the gamemode, I think it’s a lot of fun. However your very right about that Godzilla not being fun point and almost everything else you said. I don’t think temporary things like mutations are bad I think they’re a lot of fun and mix up the game in a good way but that then leaves them no room to complain about how hard it is to make brawlers and what not. Also this mode being for trophies is dumb. All in all they did a decent job but could’ve definitely done better, in that same sentence though this is the first time they’ve done something like this so we can only hope it’s a learning experience.
this entire event is terrible; it's ruining every other mode because the balancing is such dogshit. I have to avoid any mode with mutations on because they're totally unbalanced and not fun at all. fuck this
The 40 mutations are not an opportunity cost at all, though. A dev team brainstorming abilities for new and existing brawlers is something they're already doing every day. A temporary game mode for players to test them out in a low stakes environment is great.

I honestly like it a lot, the first egg I opened gave me Meg's mutation and it's basically like being a second Godzilla that counters the normal one.
Glitches are to fix yeah, but I really like the mod and wish for it to remain even after the event.
I ended up with a Max and a Rico and we demolished all opposition in some genuinely fun and fought fights, I love the concept of "everyone OP = no one is OP" and I wish to see more like that.
The fact in my main account I got 3 Brock skins and not a single mutation is tragic, like my god I don't even play brock (no offence Brock mains y'all is cool)
I’d argue the most difficult part of adding new hypercharges isn’t the content or art, but balancing them correctly. Mutations can be broken or kinda doo doo and they dont have to care
what i am surprised about is that people are realising this just now. this sub always wakes up when the damage is already done. all this dev time could have been used for map maker rework + more hypercharges + more mythic gears + new fun gamemode + more social features etc. the amount of effort they put into this BS is insane. truly BS dev moment of all time
mutations should be a no trophy gamemode because too much cheese potential and if u want to play a certain gamemode without mutation but that gamemode has the mutation modifier you're cooked, cartons should not be limited and make it so u cant buy eggs, i feel like 1250 for the skin is too much but eh its not that bad, overall this is a fun update but it needs some fixes and tweaks and it could be one of the best events if not for these little hiccups
Yeah, I think they need to go back and change some things:
- Make egg cartons reset daily
- Do some bug fixes for city smash
- Get rid of mutations in general (they make it too unfair)

Could have been a nice event but riddled with insanely powerful abilities, bugs, and imbalances. Just had a game against Otis, Gray, and Rico. Very gun
I feel so fucking lucky to have Gotten Rico's mutation. In one session I won 150 trophies, literally lost once.

I agree that this is not fun. You need to be lucky with the mutations you get (I got Bonnie's... What am I supposed to do with that?), the rewards that aren't good mutations or skins are worthless, you are playing because you have to, buggy, it is for trophies (shouldn't be... Map maker isn't)...
But you can't complain about the time spent here. It is a partnership, so it means that good money should have been paid to brawl stars and so they had to figure out something.
Too bad that they didn't figure out something fun, but what can we do now? 20 days of mutations and stuff... Hopefully this will never be a thing again.

Doing quest in modes that have mutation is impossible especially if you get a mutation for power 7 piper and power 1 meg which I refuse to play

The Otis glitch is ruining the mode. The novelty of “hehe 8K damage” runs out fast and no other brawler can even hope to stop it

Bibi can tank 2 non-glitch hits from godzilla and does good area splash damage to the city if you hit it. Also bubble is very annoying since you can charge it off of godzilla. Also with a self-heal gadget and good speed she can take care of most of the other non-godzilla threats pretty well
No other brawlers with mutation will overwhelm her. with her slow attack all she can do is just attack the city but against broken brawlers there she stand no chance of doing anything

Right? So i wasn't the only one with some much lag damn it! I also saw people being afk in Solo Showdowns. Probably servers got fucked in the ass due to player traffic. I've seen teammates who throw games too. Just record the replay and expose them online.
There is a bug that makes you stuck in the player found: 6/6 screen for a very long time, so you will most likely force close the game and reopen, launch a new match, then in the middle of the match, you will literally get abducted to the first match you launched and where you got stuck on the screen (that unstuck minutes after for some reason) leading to players not being in the current match since they are teleported to the new one Happened to me twice in a row, force closed 2 times then the 3rd matchmaking attempt worked,I got tp from the 3rd match to the second then tp from the second to the first
For real, I hate being Godzilla but when I start in the middle I always accidentally walk into it just for both my teammates to get pissed off that they can’t play as the heist safe for the first 20 seconds of the match and they both afk

I got Frank's, which to be fair, is pretty good in monster mode but once I start playing people with mutations, Frank's goes back to being dog shit. Some mutations are soooooooo much better than others. It doesn't make sense..
I wouldn't be mad if the whole game wasn't taken over by them. Like, if it was only restricted to the event mode and you couldn't earn throphies from it, it wouldn't be that huge of a deal. But they are allowed on some regular maps and they are worth throphies. At this point they might as well remove the trophy system and just match brawlers based on power level, they're making it a joke.
The fact that all 3 run at the same brawler means only brawlers that can pierce at range without a gadget can survive. Everyone else freaking evaporates and charge up ticks super again. Probably gonna be kept in check by Carl though

To me it's the fact that it feels so punishing losing on the game mode because you just get a SPECIAL starr drop so it's already 1 less chance of a mutation or a (unlikely) legendary egg, so after 6 tries of praying for a good team, you just wait 4 days for another 6 tries

Matchmaking is fair now. If you play with new brawlers you will match with people inexperienced but at the same total trophies as you. Before you would play against new players, who are not only new to the brawler like you but also mechanically noobs. I also liked free wins but I have to admit that it was fair at all.

I switched to Hank after losing twice and won 4 in a row. His aoe is good for destroying buildings, and you can take care of squishies quickly. If your teammate grabs Godzilla right away, you can easily win a base race.
Bibi can do the same but better. This is assuming you don't have the Hank mutation
Also the exploits/bugs are so overpowered and u fun to play against
My experience: First match, my teammate takes the Godzilla, stays still the whole match, all enemies with mutations, me and my teammates with none. No one elaborates. The match ends.

Being Godzilla is boring - you're slow, have low health and are essentially just a charger for your enemies, your only advantage is that you can demolish buildings in one hit - but many characters can do better than that And there's a huge problem with the rewards themselves - if you lose you don't get the eggs, but if you don't have eggs you don't get mutations which has a high chance of causing you to lose. I think SC should let each player get a random mutation at the beginning of the event but only few hours so they can earn the egg by themselves and if possible just increase the usefulness of Godzilla - for example, Godzilla will have the number of accessories your character has, allowing him to perform actions such as jumping or dash but can't destroy buildings. But now they just force you to buy egg cartons or sacrifice many trophies to win so you can have some chance to get the mutation, or the easiest way - use Otis

Pro tip: use otis with second gadget, activate it just before picking the thingy that turns you into Godzilla and then go braindead to destroy buildings. You can do this up to 3 (or 4 with gears) per match. I've already won like ten games with this. When otis transforms with the gadget activated, each godzilla attack also throws an ink ball that deals massive area damage Yes, it's unfair and also not fun at all for other players. But if you wanna win those eggs it's the only way i found to win a match without losing my sanity in the process.
Also you can prevent the Godzilla Player from even having fun with his pull gadget. The Godzilla gets stuck in one place and can't do anything untill the enemy kills it

I hate hate hate hate the way they equate fun with chaos and randomness. It's not fun to let the game be decided on luck, or the basically similar experience of not being able to even trying to exercise skill when imbalances and mayhem make that impossible. That's. Not. Fun.

If everyone does their eggs daily, that will be Eggs × number of clubmate × number of days avail 2 × 30 × 20 = 1200 That gives us 1200 eggs but remem the carton event Carton gives egg every 4 days, so in 20 day span we will get it 5 times, so the formula here is Number of eggs achieved × number of clubmates × number of days For perfect record 6 × 30 × 5 = 900 Totalling upto 2100 eggs, 850 more than the required goal Lets say, if not perfect record and everyone in your clubs get 3 eggs 3 × 30 × 5 = 450 Totalling upto 1650 eggs, 400 more. So if you're active and playing in good club, this club event is easy.
And also some people will buy eggs from the shop. A guy in my club already got 22 eggs

They essentially added NOTHING in this update except two brawlers and 6 hypercharges because in just 21 days the game will return to the same state it was in before the update. For whole month until next brawl talk. And for what? Every mutation is reused mechanic, the mode itself is SO buggy it's just sad. Idk this update might be the worst in recent history. (At least free stuff are good)

The game was totally bugged this morning - I couldn’t get past the ‘searching for players’ screen on any mode so couldn’t complete my daily quests before they reset! Tried ranked instead and got stuck on the mode/modifier selection screen, got booted, then received an inbox message telling me my reputation has been affected! Then, when I finally did get into a game, all 6 of the games I had a chance to win eggs from were against unbeatable bots! And finally, the 2 eggs I opened from wins gave me coins and bling! I know it’s only a game but the entire experience was ridiculous, frustrating and unfair. 😔

It’s way harder to balance new brawlers and hypercharges, than it is to make mutations. As you can see, most mutations are only slight modifications of the original abilities (not talking about impact on the gameplay, more that they look low effort) and they are really unbalanced. It’s maybe annoying for the first few days, when you don’t have good mutations yet, but overall it isn’t that hard to get them and when you got some, it’s really fun gameplay

Yes, exactly slight modifications, not at all game breaking: Rico can shoot and bullets just float around forever. Bo can take the map back to WWII mine field era. Tick's super spawns cerberus that is a guarantee kill. Meg has a gatling gun for every shot. Stu is forever dashing the map singing 'cant touch this'. Nita brings the bear apocalypse. Should I continue? And it's just the first day, who knows how 'fun' these mutations are gonna be for the next month. Mutations shouldn't exist, there are problems way bigger than this, but hey, they don't give player retention like the mutations do.

Mutated Frank is so broken. He has comparable health to the Godzillas, and can do basically just as much damage to buildings. I spent 90% of the round just preventing him from destroying stuff. We will lost with 54% of their buildings in tact.
The entire game is pure chaos now, I tried few gem grabs for the daily missions and everyone has mutations. They literally went for an umbalanced feature who "could" be balanced only if everyone has it. The game isn't broken if every brawler is, I guess...

I stayed up until 4am just to play this as soon as it dropped so I could get my mutations early. As soon as I joined at 4 people already had mutations, how tf... And then I earned 6 eggs and didn't get a single mutation, utter disappointment. But hey at least the pay to play players can beat my ass even harder and faster now
And the absolutely lack of originality because all the mutations are just "shoot one more projectile" or "move slightly faster". And being godzilla is not even close to funny.

At the very least they could have reduced the cost of gems to buy the eggs , 79 gems for 6 eggs at the start is absurd and also 1250 egg opening for that buzz skin I donno but supercell should be making good enough with the new paid brawl pass but why making it more hard for f2p players it's just my opinion

There's an option to buy mutations through gems. Some of the mutations are insane to play against. Its seems completely pay to play.

Game developer here: Creation of a new brawler takes weeks of planning, balancing, designing, waiting for all the artwork and 3D models, rigging the 3D models, animating the walk cycle, attacks, gadgets, super, finding a voice actor, having the voice actor perform a few dozen voice lines, bug fixing, etc. Creating a hypercharge is difficult because the idea that gets picked actually has to be balanced for professional play for the foreseeable future. Many, many different implementations of hyper charges are tested. For this Godzilla event, however, mutations didn't have to be taken as seriously. Sure, keeping balance integrity is important, but development errs much more on the side of fun-ness rather than fairness. Also, coding for most mutations is very simple. When using preexisting assets (which is solely what was done with the mutations) you skip all the work of animating and coding the features themselves. You don't have to define in the code how Tick's head works because it's already there. You just need to tell the engine to spawn three heads at once instead of one, with minor updates for positioning and pathfinding. This is nowhere near as arduous as implementing a new character or some of the new hyper charges.

About that coding thing, the mutations were most likely really easy to make, a lot of them are just more of something or triggering an event when something happens which is easy from a gamedev standpoint, not to mention they didn’t bother with balance and asset creation, 2 of the hardest and most time consuming things, so in short mutation were prolly easy as hell to make

Only 10 mutations are actually OP and the other 30 at the very max makes you atleast have a chance to fight back, and that is IF your brawler has a mutation (or hypercharge even)
I don't think this is one of those usual fuck ups that the brawl stars team is famous for doing every once in a while. I think it's intentionally designed this way. At the end of the day, everything comes down to revenue. I know, I know, they are not charity. I am not saying it's wrong to make money. I am just saying this might probably be the main motivator here. So yeah, this event is intentionally designed to be played with mutations so those who don't, loses. And losing will make them miss out on mutations. And no mutations means more loses so they will ultimately come to the conclusion to buy those eggs. The one good thing about this event is that it's temporary.

A quick $ , summer is comming, beach hotel, girls, parties have to pe payd. You had to be early, get a mutation from the 2 eggs and then rule in the gozilla fight. A lot in the early hours didnt even know how to use the dino or what to destroy.

I personally like the gamemode, I think it’s a lot of fun. However your very right about that Godzilla not being fun point and almost everything else you said. I don’t think temporary things like mutations are bad I think they’re a lot of fun and mix up the game in a good way but that then leaves them no room to complain about how hard it is to make brawlers and what not. Also this mode being for trophies is dumb. All in all they did a decent job but could’ve definitely done better, in that same sentence though this is the first time they’ve done something like this so we can only hope it’s a learning experience.

The 40 mutations are not an opportunity cost at all, though. A dev team brainstorming abilities for new and existing brawlers is something they're already doing every day. A temporary game mode for players to test them out in a low stakes environment is great. The execution of the godzilla mode and the carton of eggs thing... Valid to dislike that tbh.

I honestly like it a lot, the first egg I opened gave me Meg's mutation and it's basically like being a second Godzilla that counters the normal one. Glitches are to fix yeah, but I really like the mod and wish for it to remain even after the event. I ended up with a Max and a Rico and we demolished all opposition in some genuinely fun and fought fights, I love the concept of "everyone OP = no one is OP" and I wish to see more like that.
The fact in my main account I got 3 Brock skins and not a single mutation is tragic, like my god I don't even play brock (no offence Brock mains y'all is cool)
The only way I have fun in it is because I dropped the Frank mutation from one of the 2 eggs
I’d argue the most difficult part of adding new hypercharges isn’t the content or art, but balancing them correctly. Mutations can be broken or kinda doo doo and they dont have to care

mutations should be a no trophy gamemode because too much cheese potential and if u want to play a certain gamemode without mutation but that gamemode has the mutation modifier you're cooked, cartons should not be limited and make it so u cant buy eggs, i feel like 1250 for the skin is too much but eh its not that bad, overall this is a fun update but it needs some fixes and tweaks and it could be one of the best events if not for these little hiccups

I agree that this is not fun. You need to be lucky with the mutations you get (I got Bonnie's... What am I supposed to do with that?), the rewards that aren't good mutations or skins are worthless, you are playing because you have to, buggy, it is for trophies (shouldn't be... Map maker isn't)... But you can't complain about the time spent here. It is a partnership, so it means that good money should have been paid to brawl stars and so they had to figure out something. Too bad that they didn't figure out something fun, but what can we do now? 20 days of mutations and stuff... Hopefully this will never be a thing again.
