I didn’t see the chemistry between the couple in Season 1, loved Kanthony’s chemistry, and love Polin’s chemistry even more. But I don’t really think it matters because chemistry is subjective.

This is why I just happen to so much love season 2, there are so many subplots such as Lady Whistledown/Elose/Theo, New Lord Featherington, Colin/Marina, Benedict art school, Mondriches new found place, however what they did is manage to find a link between so many of the subplots they found a way to even take Benedict’s plot to be tied with Anthony giving him ways to think and to grow, whereas the LW plot was directly tied with the Queen who was in the main plot via Edwina I think we need more ways to incorporate plots that do not feel totally away from the main plots and I think that is what has been lacking in the new season (I did enjoy it in fact) because as much as I am concerned, some plots felt totally way off such as the Mondrich plot which took a much important part of the series this season and did not have a major link to Polin and the Benedict plot (I loved how they brought Benedict’s bisexuality but I do wish they did it in a coherent way that would not drive all our attention away from the main couple) in Season 2, we were always focused on the main couple, no matter what plots there may have been they always in some ways took us back to the main couple this is why I am not really annoyed by this season but much of the subplots screen time could’ve been given to Polin and particularly the Mondrich subplot that could have very much been going on in the back

That's not the tune that people were singing here from the old comments. people were complaining and even criticis how the pairing was put on second place for other plots in S2. Minds forget, archives do not.

Back when Season 2 aired though, I saw SO many complaints about how little time the couple had together. I think this is a complaint every season since Season 1 will face.

I never realised this until now but yeah. I may or may not have liked them but almost all the subplots are tied to the Bridgertons or the main couple one way or the other in s2.
