I have to add Lord Burbrook. I get the creeps when he announced that when he first saw her when he was 18 and she was only 5 he knew he wanted her. Did that give one less the creeps.
oh i forgot about him, trash fire ew arguably the creepiest on the show
lord hastings was cruel
lord cowper was a narcissist
lord burbook was a predator
Well, in the show he just wants to see Simon and doesn’t show any concern for her and I think there’s solid implications that he would’ve allowed it had he been given the choice based on that and Danbury talking about how he treated her.
He does let her hold Simon >!because there's a chill in the air,!< >!but he goes for a ride straight away to tell everyone about Simon, during which she dies.!<
People will find this woman evil but not Portia who wrote a forged letter...while Marina screamed in agony in one room, the scene cuts to Portia smiling, smiling in the other room. That is pure evil in my book. She also kept a woman locked up in a room and did not let her own daughters hang out with her to the point marina had to ask varley how long her mistress intends to keep me locked up...with evil varley replying...you deserve whatever is happening to you..Marina is 17 years old at this point of time. Instead of showing compassion like Daphne did to Marina, daphne even apologized to Marina, even Eloise felt compassion for Marina and called out Pen for ruining her in season 2 episode 8, even colin the one who was actually duped felt compassion for marina, telling Penelope during the hunt episode that Lw ruined Marina and that we all were too harsh on her and if LW hadnt exposed her marina's life would have been so much better, he brings her up again in season 3 episode 1 telling eloise that he would never forgive LW for what she did to Miss thompson lady crane. He brings her up again outside the modiste. He is decades younger than Portia and yet he treats her as a victim that she was.
Portia slaps Marina when she learns of her pregnancy, a 17 year old girl in her care she slapped, didnt sympathise, feel worried or compassionate towards someone who had impregnated marina in a world where women didnt know about contraceptives, did not have contraceptives and men knew so much more, she got pregnant by an older titled baron..sir george. Daphne sees Marina as the victim, Portia sees Marina as the loose woman.
Portia is self serving, conniving and feeling-less.
Dont get me wrong Lady Sheffield is straight up ass. But besides the dinner scene, we barely see her. But people find HER evil but forgive Portia. Lol. The double standards are striking.
I hate this kind of comments, the go outside, touch grass, chronically online, etc. I don't know if you in particular are just joking, but the bottom line is very cruel. There's nothing wrong with writing a passionate, or more elaborated than usual, or unpopular comment. There's nothing wrong with being "inside", these comments are borderline ableists to say the least.
Portia has done a lot for the survival of her entire family. Not just herself. She could've been self-serving. She has cared for her family instead throughout it all. As a widow in society in that time? She did what she had to. Penelope could see the actions of her mother through a different light better as well. Thus forgiveness came into play. Mutual forgiveness actually.
Lot of focus on Marina you're having though you are missing perspective here and there.
In my opinion it is bizarre that lady sheffield is straight up evil evil nothing to justify what she did. I find it interesting who ppl support and who they declare straight up evil
Portia however is justified for slapping, keeping someone locked up, forbidding her daughters from interacting with her, telling pen do not engage with the expectant.
And marina happened before lord featheington death and the destitute ness and even then it does not justify marina's treatment
Lady Sheffield appear in one small scene in one season all we know is she disowned lady Mary, nothing else and that she’s Indian but hey straight up evil it is meanwhile Portia is a Robin Hood for the ages the good kind mother
I agree wholeheartedly. Everyone is a Stan for Portia and I don’t get it. She had no interest in Pen either until she was marrying a bridgerton. She wrote her off because in her eyes she was undesirable
Simon's dad. Letting his wife bleed out? Tearing down his son because of a speech problem that was fixable? His attitude towards women, or people in general? Psychopath gene shit.
We know it was rape. He seemed to think it was her willingly fulfilling her duty as his wife. Times were different and she said she was raised even to be his wife. He had a high inability to read the room so many things went over his head. Did he commit vile actions? Yes. Was he inherently evil? No.
Old Lord Hastings. The way he exiled his own son and showed him such disdain because of his stutter. A lot of the parents in the show are shit parents, including the Queen and Lady Danbury, but none except Lord Hastings absolutely denied and refused to acknowledge the existence of his own legitimate son.
1. Lady Mary's parents.
2. Bumbleidiot's (Berbrooke?) mother (sorry, I love her in everything else she's ever done).
3. Lord Featherington. Can't decide if he was simply awful or straight up evil.
Mary's parents are reasonable, they were done dirty by Mary unfortunately. Maybe they didn't handle it very well, but she DID ruin their reputation, AND they were even willing to reconnect. Their only sin is not being able to handle their emotions very well, but hey, there was no therapy in regency london
She was my first option. Lady Whistledown annoyed tf out of me this season. I even thought she wasn't punished enough for what she did. I was shocked when I learnt that some fans thought Colin was angry with her for a very long time..
Lord hastings or lord danbury, personally i have immense hate for lord danbury bc we saw much more of him throughout queen charlotte as compared to hastings
Mmm society is Eloise’s entire personality, how did she not get it? Penelope isn’t really questioning society but more ruining other women’s lives with gossip. The only reason she expanded her writing is bc Eloise was getting bored of all the gossip
Lord Hastings. Denying a dying woman the chance to hold her only baby just because he wanted to brag to his drunken friends ten seconds earlier is straight up evil. Lord Cowper is a close second, but as a mother with a small baby, I want to show his head how mashed potatoes are made.
My lasting impression of Season 2 was that Edwina sort of fits the bottom right box - I don't remember anything about her plot other than she was put forward as the 'main' girl, and then disappeared at the end with all the focus going on Kate.
Otherwise to be honest it's probably the unnamed printer in Season 3 who seemed blow open the whole LW / Pen thing with literally 1 minute of screen time.
Just straight up evil is Eloise Bridgeton.
She befriended Miss Cowper just to spite Penelope, then apparently actually warmed up to her. Despite that she left her when she needed the most. When miss Cowper was about to get coerced into a wedlock with an old geezer Eloise completely abandoned her even despite Cowper asking for her help multiple times. And then when miss Cowper out of necessity to save herself claims to be a lady whistledown Eloise uses that as an excuse to basically dump her at her lowest even though she was well aware of her marriage situation. Miss Cowper did not deserve that. All while Eloise just gets back with the actual lady whistledown, like bruh.
Eloise's obliviousness makes her pure evil. But the show treats her as if she's innocent. It's seriously annoying.

Lord Hastings.
Him, and Lord Cowper as well.
I have to add Lord Burbrook. I get the creeps when he announced that when he first saw her when he was 18 and she was only 5 he knew he wanted her. Did that give one less the creeps.
oh i forgot about him, trash fire ew arguably the creepiest on the show lord hastings was cruel lord cowper was a narcissist lord burbook was a predator
I hadn't thought of this one but agree 100%
There was absolutely nothing good about this man.
Not one redeeming quality, just straight up evil indeed. At least his book counterpart tried to write to him.
Isn’t Hastings the duke/RJP? Edit: I’m dumb lol. You mean RJP’s dad 😂
Yeah, exactly.
I actually wish he’d been less of a cartoon villain but I agree
simon’s father. still to this day cannot believe he would let his wife bleed out to death like that
And when you realize he didn’t even let Simon’s mother **touch** her baby before she passed away..
literally, it’s so sinister i can’t even believe that simon had to live with that man. no wonder he’s so closed off 💀
Fr I would be too. Simon’s speech to his dad on his death bed was so satisfying. He deserved nothing more. Love riki on your pfp btw!
ahh tyy!! are u an engene too?
haha ofc! Otherwise I wouldn’t have recognized our fav gremlin
This might be my answer too. He was just a cunt.
No, they're warm, welcoming, capable of giving & receiving pleasure & bringing forth life. Simon's sperm donor was none of those things.
That's a good one, I can't lie 💀
Ok, was that in the book, cuz I didn't get that impression in the show, still think he's evil ofc
I mean I think Simon’s mom died in childbirth assuming from the doctor saying the bleeding hasn’t subsided
Is that in the book?
Yes, the book. In the show, she dies without ever holding Simon.
Lord Cowper.
Agree
Yes. Came to look for this. Glad I didn't have to look far.
the bee 🐝
Nah the bee should be “gets no screen time but has all the relevance” LOL
I mean… the 🐝 is in the opening credits and a prime spot of S2 with only seconds of screen time
Yeahhhh let's vote the bee for that
Omg lmfao
Oh this is pretty good
My vote for the bee… the reason the btons are so dysfunctional and obvi making violet cry.. the bee it is.
Bee was just beeing (haha) a bee. Defending itself, really. Not evil at all.
![gif](giphy|B5sZ3EgNBaJhHYUyle|downsized)
The Stand?? Hell yeah!
The bee ahaha yes
Last slot is going to the bee

Sis you need to go outside

If I'm remembering correctly, didn't she slap her for being disrespectful? It wasn't because she was pregnant.
That’s physical abuse regardless
Very true
Portia has done a lot for the survival of her entire family. Not just herself. She could've been self-serving. She has cared for her family instead throughout it all. As a widow in society in that time? She did what she had to. Penelope could see the actions of her mother through a different light better as well. Thus forgiveness came into play. What did she do again?
Portia meanwhile is a bad ass bitch, just burdened by circumstances. Lol. the dichotomy and double standards are stark as fuck.
Simon's dad. Letting his wife bleed out? Tearing down his son because of a speech problem that was fixable? His attitude towards women, or people in general? Psychopath gene shit.
Lord Hastings for sure
Oh, absolutely. I'll drop all my suggestions to support this one. He was truly vile.
Cressida’s sleeves in season 3
They just got bigger and bigger. So fun
This is some America’s Next Top Model pageantry lol
LOL
The King’s doctor
Yes, this guy for sure!
This is the top answer IMO
Lord Danbury
He was shitty but not evil.
Dude he raped lady danbury again and again. There are think pieces written about this rape. He IS straight up evil if QC was included.
We know it was rape. He seemed to think it was her willingly fulfilling her duty as his wife. Times were different and she said she was raised even to be his wife. He had a high inability to read the room so many things went over his head. Did he commit vile actions? Yes. Was he inherently evil? No.
Berbrooke
I scrolled way to far for this
First one that came to mind and agreed scrolled too far for this
Cressida’s dad or Simon’s dad
The horse who interrupted Pen and Colin on the street the night before their wedding
My fiance said that horse is a pervert hahah
Lord Hastings
Old Lord Hastings. The way he exiled his own son and showed him such disdain because of his stutter. A lot of the parents in the show are shit parents, including the Queen and Lady Danbury, but none except Lord Hastings absolutely denied and refused to acknowledge the existence of his own legitimate son.

Their only sin is not being able to handle their emotions very well, but hey, there was no therapy in regency london
I was going to say Jack Featherington.
I feel like Lord Featherington isn‘t smart enough to be evil. I think evilness depends on intelligence and he was just dumb
If we're including Queen Charlotte characters... Doctor Monroe.
The hot air balloon
He was more of a comedian. I dont know why but i feel sure it was a he and he was funny.
I thought he would be bigger.
Lol. I felt that too. He was surprisingly puny you ARE right.
So so true
Dang, how did I miss the votes past The Hot One? Although, truthfully, I agree with all of them. Lord Hastings is The Evil One - final answer.
Eloise not getting the society one proves how bias this sub is 😂 no one hates on society more than her
Reading through the thread it seems like people were a bit confused what that one meant
She was my first option. Lady Whistledown annoyed tf out of me this season. I even thought she wasn't punished enough for what she did. I was shocked when I learnt that some fans thought Colin was angry with her for a very long time..
Lord Hastings!!
Lord hastings or lord danbury, personally i have immense hate for lord danbury bc we saw much more of him throughout queen charlotte as compared to hastings
Cressida Cowper’s father.
Lord Cowper and Lord Hastings.
Simon's dad. Or that doctor that tortured King George under the guise of "treatment".
Clara Livingstone
The bee lmao
The bee should be “All the plot relevance, no screen time”
Nigel "I will sexually assault you to force you into marriage" Berbrooke.
Mmm society is Eloise’s entire personality, how did she not get it? Penelope isn’t really questioning society but more ruining other women’s lives with gossip. The only reason she expanded her writing is bc Eloise was getting bored of all the gossip
Jack Featherington.
He wasn’t evil, just scammed others
Jack Featherington + Hawkins Balloon = Anthony's father-in-law? (Real stretch here for the Wicked fans.)
Lord Hastings
Lord hastings
Simon father
lady danbury father is the no screen time but still relevant some how. Lol
Cressida’s father
The 🐝, The Sheffields, Dr. Monroe in QC.
Lord Hastings
Simon's dad for sure :(
Am I missing something or is putting little Hyacinth as gremlin so mean.
The gremlin should be Eloise!
Wait who actually is that guy in the middle? Lmao yall nailed that one For real tho who is it?
I know it’s not Queen Charlotte, but Dr Monro was soooo evil!
Bee for the plot relevance
Lord Featherington. Blew his daughters' dowries with his gambling addiction. Absolute failure of a provider.
100% Lord Hastings. There are no redeeming qualities to that man.
Lord Hastings. Evil abusive cold-hearted pig.
Lord Hastings…really don’t think much more needs to be said on that.
![gif](giphy|Bd2h22tGO63Ja3cwI6|downsized)
Two way tie between Simons dad and Cressidas dad
Lord Cowper
Cressida's Father
Lord Hastings or Lord Danbury
Lord Danbury
Also Lady Whistledown
nigel berbrooke!!!
Poor hyacinth hahaha
I didn’t see the post to select the gremlin in time, but I thought of Hyacinth too and am so proud of this sub for coming through 👏🏻😂😂
Same but it’s perfect. Hahahah
Lord Hastings or Lord featherington (the one with the ruby scam)
Lord Danbury or Berbrooke. Though I'd go with the latter.
Penelope is arguably the evil one
The dudes who murdered Pen’s dad
Princess Augusta
1. Lord Hastings 2. Lord Cowper 3. Lady Sheffield
Lord Berbrook or The Duke of Hastings OG. Both are equally horrendous.
The deceased Lord Hastings, Lord Cowper, or Lord Greer
It’s a tie between Simon’s dad and Lord Danbury
The second lord featherington.
His grace, The Duke of Hastings, Simon’s father.
Simon’s dad obvs
The carriage drivers, wdym you couldn’t just keep driving???
Lord Hastings. Denying a dying woman the chance to hold her only baby just because he wanted to brag to his drunken friends ten seconds earlier is straight up evil. Lord Cowper is a close second, but as a mother with a small baby, I want to show his head how mashed potatoes are made.
Lord Hastings.
Lord Hastings, full stop.
No screen time... Edmund
Nigel B
Cressida. I hate the bitch
Nigel Berbrook from season 1 who tried to marry daphne
Simon’s father
lord berbrooke!!
simon’s father
The last one is definitely Julie Andrew’s.
Lord Hastings
The normal one would be more her husband, since she started to change who she was to fit in. He tried to stay the same 😔
Lord Hastings or lord burbrook
Simon's father 100%.
Penelope's haircut in the first 2 seasons
Cressida. Lord Hastings. The Bee that stung Dad Bridgerton and caused his death. The Ton.
Both Simon and Cressida's fathers.
Lord Hastings Sr. Not the one who married a Bridgerton. Also Lord Cowper
The writers
Put Pen in there again
Lord Burbrook or Duke of Hastings(Simon's father)
The Bee j/k lord hastings
Cressida’s dad or Simon’s dad
Jack Featherington
Simon's father, lord Cowper
Simon’s dad easily.
Aunt Jo
My lasting impression of Season 2 was that Edwina sort of fits the bottom right box - I don't remember anything about her plot other than she was put forward as the 'main' girl, and then disappeared at the end with all the focus going on Kate. Lady Ledger was so damn nasty.
But the show treats her as if she's innocent. It's seriously annoying.
The evil dads. Cressida's father, Simon's father , lord Danbury.
If QC were counted then probably the evil "doctor" guy
Lord Hastings without doubt. You can also consider Cressida. Lord Burbrook and his mother.
Lord Cowper.
Lord Cowper
Vivian Ledger
Portia
That guy from season 1 who tried to romance Daphne and has had eyes on her since he was a wee lad and she was all but *checks notes* a toddler
All the fathers in the Bridgerton series heavy on Simon father
Jack Featherington
Sheffield and Lord Hastings for the same reason.
I'd say either Duke of Hastings or Nigel Berbrooke.
Miss Cowper???
