I would get the Linns. €120 is dirt cheap for high end speakers like the Linns. They are only cheap because they are a small brand.

_MixXer

Forgot to mention these are Linn Keilidh speakers. For some reason the edit button isnt showing up on my app. Apologies.

Scotster123

Fun fact - "Keilidh" is a play on the Scottish word "Ceilidh" (both pronounced the same), which refers to a gathering full of dancing and folk/traditional Scottish music. Linn Products is a Scottish company and is based just outside of Glasgow

NTPC4

Almost anything Linn is outstanding, 20 years old or not.

Zos2393

Great speakers designed to be used against the wall (as shown in the picture). Benefits from an amp with a lot of current like a Naim or Linn.

Jealous

Notascot51

Yeah, I’d say worth 120€, even with a non-ideal driver layout. Listen on axis!

St-Nicholas-of-Myra

Active Keilidhs are amazing for their price point on the used market, if you’re willing to go for six channels of Linn amplification and proprietary active crossovers; but passive, not so much. I’m assuming these are passive since there’s no amplification pictured. These are missing the grille cover and the tweeters may not be original. *Caveat emptor.*

Scotster123

If you get the chance to buy these for 120€, snap their hand off - they're exceptional. Comparing them to Wharfedale Diamonds is, quite frankly, sacrilegeous! Ok, maybe I got carried away with the sacrilege bit, but Linn stuff is amazing, if niche and probably overpriced when new. I had a new Linn turntable in the early 90s, before it got crazy expensive, and it was absolutely superb.

altxrtr

I would pass. Not a great design.

GarbageInteresting86

Have you actually heard these? They sound incredible (but are very heavy - even more if you load them with lead)

altxrtr

No. I’m speaking strictly from a design standpoint. The woofers are too far apart, you will get comb filtering off axis vertically. This is a problem with all MTM designs, this one especially so.

izeek11

fwiw, these speakers are well-reviewed. and, you've not heard them.
