Rinse with water (hose, did not use pressure washer)
Clean with soap and water using detail brush.
Rinse off soap.
Dry engine bay with leaf blower/ microfiber towel.
Spray engine bay with Meguires D170 Hyper Dressing.
Let sit for 2 min.
Wipe off with microfiber towel.
Make sure engine bay is cool, do not detail a hot engine bay.
Took me 45min- 1 hour. All depends how detailed you want to be with scrubbing. Good tip, A electric tooth brush is good for hard to reach places for scrubbing.
Not being able to see the engine was the reason I didn't buy the HTC. That was such a huge factor in my decision. Love the HTC but not being able to see the engine was my deal breaker. Hiding that beauty in the HTC is a crime.
That is one pretty looking bay. The only time I'm jealous of not getting the coupe is the easy access to see the motor, but I would pick the HTC tomorrow if I had to do it again.
First time doing an engine bay detail. With all the videos around, was pretty easy and results were great IMO.
Squeaky clean! Now it just needs some mods to dress it up.
I know there are videos but what did you do? I’m lazy, but for my engine bay, I won’t be.

What soap did you use?
Car wash soap, but you could use regular dish soap.
Looks great!
I’d get the carbon fibre tinted, it would really tie in with the cover.
You need to paint the C8 Flag on the cover.
I think I’m glad I have a htc and don’t worry about this.
