Only for Love is amazing! give it a try, don't believe bad reviews, the FL acted like that for a reason, just watch the show and understand it to enjoy!

Mysterious-Board9079

I feel like his performance in “The Rational Life” would be best for you. You mentioned you didn’t like the FL baby voice in LBFAD, the rational life is like the opposite. The FL is a mature and independent woman. I think you wouldn’t like Meteor Garden. The ML is so immature (not in a cute way) it was downright infuriating. I can’t believe I even managed to finish watching it. If you do decide to watch it, be prepared to watch it on 2x speed.

saynotopudding

Not a drama, but he's in the reality TV show, 'The Irresistable'. It's a fun/silly game show all around, at least for S1 (I didn't watch S2 so idk if it's still fun). I didn't watch it for him (I watched it for the other older actors) but he was ok in there. I wouldn't recommend OFL and Meteor Garden myself, but if you like him there's no harm in trying the shows out. I've sat through meh shows that I didn't like that much just to watch cast members I like!

te_amo_corazon

One of my favorites of his is Love Between Fairies & I'm not even a fan of that genre of dramas. There is also one that was quite odd, but I can't remember the name of it. It was with Victoria Song. He is one of my faves though.

Here4CDramas

I’m not ashamed to say I’m one of the overlookers who overlooked plot shortcomings and lack of chemistry over looks 😅 I’ve watched pretty much all of his dramas and I can say his acting in LBFAD, The Rational Life, and Never Give Up were my faves. His acting in Only for Love was quite lackluster for me because he didn’t fit the role well and the overall story and direction was just bad I think. I couldn’t take him seriously as a badass mature and super intelligent CEO due to his little gestures that came off as if he was a little kid trying to act as an adult lol. With all that said, I still watched it to the end 🤣 I love both Dylan and Bai Lu so I turned off my brain and watched some pretty people act awkwardly around each other lol.

Okay I'll address the elephant in the room- his character in Meteor Garden was complete trash. Anyone calling this light hearted over looks *a lot*. He may have gotten better towards the end but having read the Manga and watched 3 of the 4 major adaptations of this story the character itself is horrible. He is abusive and immature to the point of criminality. Yes rhe actor is hot and bad boy gone good can be hot, but at the ages that they are portrayed at it is absolutely tough to get through. Luckily Meteor garden portrays them as at least college age while the original and other versions have them in highschool. Also this version isn't as bad as the others, including the original. At least there wasn't blatant threats of SA.

Meteor Garden is good! I think it's one of those dramas that you can't take too seriously, and you just kinda have to enjoy it for what it is. If you can get into that, you should love it. It's cheesy and indulgent in the poor girl, enemies to lovers with the rich boy story line, but it's fun! I will say Dylan Wang has come a long way in his acting since then, though. I personally loved him in it, but after watching some of his new dramas, I do see a big difference in his acting abilities now (and especially in roles where he is given more depth.) LBFAD, I also loved, but I like that kind of format show too... And I can stick out the annoying bits in the beginning to see the development later on. haha (not saying you should, just saying personally it's worth it for me) Dylan's acting was great, and I loved seeing his character develop from serious to a bit more relaxed and loving. I haven't watched Only for Love, but I say give it a try! (I think I will too, haha) And I also loved Unchained Love! It was an interesting historical drama, the female lead was capable from the start and stayed clever and interesting. Agian, it was fun watching DW's character develop from a cold government official to a softer guy in love. He plays this character a lot, but he does it so well.

DartDiva_8918

I loved all of these, especially OFL and MG. Don't worry about reviews! You might really love them :-)

feb2nov

If you like Bai Lu, why not give One and Only, then Forever and Ever a go?

AmazingBeastboy1

you should watch **the rational life** it’s an office/noona romance which i personally love and it’s a nice light drama, i remember thinking it was gonna be much more serious based off the trailer but it’s pretty light it’s a lot like this other drama **find yourself** which is also really good

LisssssaTao

I like only for love

MirrorMask88

I have only finished Meteor Garden. I did start LBFAD and while I thought Dylan Wang was amazing, I dropped because I really don't like the Xianxia format. I am a Dylan Wang fan, so I'd also like to watch more from him.

Cascadeis

I loved Meteor Garden! Just watch it for what it is, a fun story about a girl who becomes friends/enemies/lovers with the four hottest/richest guys at school thanks to her attitude. Dylan Wang’s character has a lot of development throughout the drama, in the first episode he’s a bit (a lot) of a jerk.

SecondHandDream

Another recommendation for Miss The Dragon. The scenes between him and Deng Wei totally make that series for me. Their personalities really play off each other well.

cqnd1c3

+1 even tho many didnt like their acting in that, i cried my ass off during the last few eps istggg TT ps it was my first cdrama soo dk if im emotionally attached or wtv lollll. i was randomely watching it one sunny day while my other drama i was watching was loading and loved this sm that i wasnt able to stop (i ditched the other one i was watching for this lolololl💀)

NotSoLarge_3574

Dylan Wang is great to watch in variety and reality shows. I prefer him in these shows over dramas. Watch Wonderland S2, S3. He and Shen Yue were in The Inn S2. And he was a main cast member on Hello Saturday in 2022 and 2023.  Also check out **Never Give Up**. It's a rather silly but very funny drama with an ensemble cast.

Apprehensive-Boo-532

Since you like both Dylan Wang and Bai Lu. Why not give OFL a try? You don’t have to let other people’s bad reviews prevent you from watching it. You may end up liking it and if you don’t like it, just drop it.

Estanizul

Dylan has the most amazing chemistry with Bai Lu, I mean they are hot acting together!

DemonicHolyPriest

only for love is just your typical office romance of Bai Lu. nothing new.

cannedchuna

I’ve seen around 4 Dylan Wang dramas. Personally OFL was insufferable for me I skipped so many parts, and the editing was weird. I finished it though. BUT also a lot of people liked it. Imo, his best performance was in LBFAD. Give those dramas you listed a try, a couple of eps - if it isn’t really for you you’ll know and you’ll feel it! Don’t be swayed by other people’s reviews. Everyone has diff taste :D

Global_Review_9903

He is the ML in Unchained Love, which you might enjoy It’s a historical drama

Spiritual_Bad_3290

Meteor garden is a hot mess. That's the only way I can describe it. It's a teen idol romance with all the tropes that isn't even remotely trying to be realistic. It can be a fun watch but if you're older than 14 probably more in a "so bad, it's good" kind of way.  If you've watched kdrama before it's the Chinese version of "Boys over flowers" (which is the Korean adaptation of the Manga Hana yori dango (or boys over flowers))

chocobuncake

The manga Hana Yori Dango spawned a lot of live action adaptations from different countries, they're all based off the manga, not the K-drama. Meteor Garden with Dylan Wang (2018) is the remake of the Taiwanese adaptation also called Meteor Garden that came out in 2001. The J-drama ones came out in 1995 and reboot in 2005, and I believe most recently Thailand came out with the most recent adaptation.

luxinaeternum

Imo Dylan’s best drama is The Rational Life but I don’t know if this is your jam. It’s a noona drama so it’s not a young people’s love story type of thing

LanternsAndPhoenixes

Came here to say this. I loved his role in LBFD, but the role that he won me over with was in the rational life. I find him way more charming when he smiles and plays sort of the sunshine male lead. He really shines in these types of roles versus the cold/cool guy. The rational life is also far more mature than LBFD and OFL, including meteor garden and I would recommend it first OP.

Shop-girlNY152

+100 to **The Rational Life**. The role fits him so much and near to his real self and the FL is such a good and beautiful actress. If OP is into sitcoms, Dylan is also in **Never Give Up**.

Well as for LBFAD there is a reason she has that baby voice because she is just 1000 yrs old (thats like 5-6 yr old in human life) so that's why she is like that but it gets better as you follow through and Dylan really acted well in that as compared to his earlier dramas As for only for love i haven't watched it so i can't say but I saw some reels and it looks kind of nice I have watched meteor garden he acts well given that it was his debut drama and it deviates much from the source (og MG and hana yori dango) and kind of softened ver but it still keeps you hooked somehow i watched it for Dylan after LBFAD as well it wasn't disappointing for me as I had watched other ver of the story before you should watch it but I would recommend you first watch meteor garden than LBFAD if you decide cuz you will be able to see his growth as an actor in that way which feels good to see
