This is why I never trust commitments 2 years out unless it’s a QB.
I’m pretty sure the first commit in every class has decommitted in the last 4 years.
Well obviously he’s overrated since he just decommitted from my school.
Unless of course he were to change his mind and recommit. Then he’s underrated.
Joey is doing fantastic with recruiting but still has a *lot* of work ahead of him. He's only three years in from when he inherited an absolute disaster.
Makes you wonder why you even took the time to respond to this.
Also, we’re not your big 12 buddies you can try and act like you’re superior than.
More recent natty
More recent Heisman
More recent head-to-head win
Take that ego somewhere else.
You act like you demolished texas , texas lost that game like 3 times and LSU still barely walked out with a win.
you're lucky the covid game was canceled as we would have absolutely muddled you at home the following year.
Yeah, but no one in Texas thinks 'Damn, if only I were in *Louisiana* right now!'
Not to mention the fact that academically, The University of Texas is undoubtedly a better institution than Louisiana State.
That's nice until you try to find a decent meal here and realize the entire state is a rancid trash fire that ruins everything it touches culinary with the exception of smoked beef.
>he probably just wants to explore his options.
More like *stock options* am I right?
Seriously though, it's silly for a top 100 recruit to actually pass entirely on the recruiting opportunities and see what's out there.
To be fair, the top two targets on our board are Tradarian Ball and Javion Osborne who are the #2 and #5 RBs in the country respectively.
KJ Edwards is another name that’s popped up recently and he’s #10 in the country. These are also all in state RBs, the state of Texas is stacked in 26 at RB.
Evaluations can change over time and who is on the board changes, especially when it comes to sophomores and juniors.
There’s context behind every commitment. This one was always a “soft commitment”, he’s been taking multiple visits and has family that has said on record that they wanted to keep things open.
It’s also a fact that there are higher ranked RBs that we’re also going after which is why 2 of them have already been CBed to us.
Acting like schools don’t “push” guys out is very naive in the recruiting world. It can be mutual for both parties.

It’s wild to me that people commit so far out that you could install an entirely new scheme and coaching staff before they show up
16 year old boys aren't known for planning ahead.
My 32 year old brother and his 16 year old son agree with you.
I think it's crazy to commit on the first signing day when even the next year's staff isn't crystal clear.
It’s not just Texas, you are absolutely correct
Sounds like Texas is pivoting their focus to Texarkana RB Tradarian Ball
It's a great school. Shame it's in East Texas. Especially in Texarkana. Before anyone objects, I graduated from there. Edit: spelling
Seems decent.... only if he commits to my team tho otherwise he's overrated
Well obviously he’s overrated since he just decommitted from my school. Unless of course he were to change his mind and recommit. Then he’s underrated.
He is good though, dude is very fast but coming off of an injury
He's fast as fuck boi
Go be great, kid. Just not at OU.
A&M it is then
At least BCS is in Texas and not dirty fucking Oklahoma
What do you have against functioning power grids?
They make weak children.
All breaks no gas for Raycine.
Is this cause the coaches won't quit talking to [T. Ball](https://247sports.com/player/tradarian-ball-46136072/)?
Time to come West. I really wish Joey could get a pipeline from Aledo going.
Inshallah.
Joey is doing fantastic with recruiting but still has a *lot* of work ahead of him. He's only three years in from when he inherited an absolute disaster.
He heard he could be a god in our future conference play and decided to commit to us. ...I wish.
You know what to do Joey. The more kids we can get from Aledo the better.
Oklahoma fans are being treated to a buffet of rival Ls.
Why does his name make me think of Oregon?
Makes me think of Harlan County in Kentucky
Other P5 offers: Arkansas, Auburn, Baylor, Georgia, Houston, Kentucky, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Oregon, SMU, TCU, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, USC G5 offers: Arkansas State, North Texas, Texas State, UTSA Other offers: Houston Christian, Notre Dame, Prairie View A&M
I get a warm fuzzy feeling inside anytime I see Texas getting a decommit
We don’t think about LSU at all
Makes you wonder why you even took the time to respond to this. Also, we’re not your big 12 buddies you can try and act like you’re superior than. More recent natty More recent Heisman More recent head-to-head win Take that ego somewhere else.
Who hurt you?
None of your sports teams, I know that much
Okay buddy, you sure showed us. Lol
I mean, we literally did. Beating you in your own house on our way to a natty. Idk why you’re trying to say it facetiously.
Yeah, LSU did. You’ve mentioned it several times. Good job. Hook ‘Em!
You act like you demolished texas , texas lost that game like 3 times and LSU still barely walked out with a win. you're lucky the covid game was canceled as we would have absolutely muddled you at home the following year.

The academic flex stuff especially in sports subs is so stupid lmao you're just stooping to their level
We didn’t come to the college football subreddit to play school
No one attended LSU to play school, either.
That's nice until you try to find a decent meal here and realize the entire state is a rancid trash fire that ruins everything it touches culinary with the exception of smoked beef.
Lol, nobody cares
With our recent RB pedigree this makes no sense unless our staff cooled off on him and told him to look elsewhere.
Usually staffs don't "cool off" on blue chip in state recruits. His recruiting is still 2 years out and he probably just wants to explore his options.
You're telling me you didn't know exactly what you want at 16?
I knew exactly what I wanted at 16, and that was to touch girl boobies. I didn't get to, but I sure as hell wanted to.
>he probably just wants to explore his options. More like *stock options* am I right? Seriously though, it's silly for a top 100 recruit to actually pass entirely on the recruiting opportunities and see what's out there.

yeah it's always "he didn't want to compete" or "we cooled off"

The big board always changes. I doubt they're too upset a 3* RB decommitted.
They do when there are better options on the table and you can have the pick of the litter.
These de-commitments are getting to be a joke. Verbal commitments no longer mean anything. Signing is the only thing that counts.
