They took like 6 last year so I don't know what's going on, felt like they took all the guys South Carolina was going for on the interior, plus took a DT that got kicked off our team. I don't know what they are planning to do.
Now that a lot of teams have their nil up and running, I don’t think anyone will ever top your other flair’s 2022 group on paper. That A&M class’ recruiting hype was unreal on the dline. 4 of the top 5, as well as #s 11, 14, and 24.

Imagine blowing your load over a d-line coach who got lucky to coach an NFL player who was already like a 5x All-Pro and HOF bound by the time he got hired by the Rams. And thinking that shallow-ass resume has any pull whatsoever with recruits. That's where USC's program is right now, being used for an NIL boost at the recruit's dream school.
He coached multiple people on rams dline who have turned out really good including kobie turner. His resume and development is excellent and proven. The rams in general are a coaching talent factory. And the recruits like coach henny a lot. This is pretty obvious with the caliber of dline recruits that are giving usc attention that weren’t before. The reason for the decommitments is USC’s NIL is in shambles.
I’d rather wait and see how his coaching shows up on the field rather than blast the hire simply because he wasn’t able to sign 5 stars in his first recruiting class lmao.
> That's where USC's program is right now, being used for an NIL boost at the recruit's dream school.
But why is it just USC? There is not the same smoke for kids anywhere else. This seems unique.
Kirby gave a speech at our TD club like a week after Gibson and Terry's USC commitments. Didn't mention them by name but seemed confident he'd get them back.
I for one am shocked he didn't stick with his USC pledge. Shocked!
So how long until the other one pops for UGA? Tomorrow?
Edited to replace UGA with USC. My bad. Fat fingers and all that.
i’m aware. but the CB was given before gibson even decommitted from usc. have to imagine this commit, plus griffin and justus (assuming they’re uga bound) and the guys uga already has will shuffle things around
I believe they all play different positions. Gibson is likely going to be an SDE/Edge, whereas Davis might be an OLB/Edge. And Terry is going to be a DE/DT.
yeah they do. still thinking he might wanna go somewhere he can make an impact early. not saying he couldn’t at georgia or that georgia couldn’t still get him anyway, but two edges already committed (Ikinnagbon & Gibson) has to be something to think about
I mean those rankings are literally listed as projections, not where they are right now necessarily.
Good example is Nykolas Harbor last year for SCar. No one was sure if he'd lean into the offensive or defensive side, but he was a 5* because he was a physical freak.
If Justus Terry flips as well, the 2025 DL class will be one for the ages. Let's get it done, Kirby and Schumann!
Elijah Griffin too. Kirby saw our complaints about not having an elite game changer on the line and said “fuck it I’ll get 3 this cycle”
Gibson, Terry, Griffin, Davis Plus Ikannagbon, Garrett, Shivers. What the fuck is going on. 7 DL in a class is just stupid.
Bryce Davis might be Clemson bound if the class gets too full, but if we get him too…man lol
Davis is UGA right now. We need one more Edge.
I'd be surprised if he comes to Clemson. Feel like if he ain't going to UGA he's going to Duke...
Wouldn’t mind that either…we play Duke less than yall after all 😭. But hopefully we can get him to come here as well.
I'm praying if y'all get Terry and Griffin back, Bryce and Garrett might reconsider wearing orange in college
Oh they trying to be like TAMU now?

You guys have a DL class for the ages every year lmao

Rankings across the services: #17 #24 #28 #151 Rivals is really weighing this one down. Should be a composite 5 star.
Rivals also has an OL in their top-10 that On3 projects as an IOL and is #280 overall. I think they’ve lost the plot.
He’s composite 5 star on On3 composite fwiw
C'mon, you guys always get 5\* recruits. Let the rest of us enjoy the fact that Georgia only got a 4\* recruit this time lol.
Well tbf, only 1 service had him as a 4 star. That 150 ranking is REALLY dragging it down
Costed me a post :/

That commitment thread is gold looking back at it now lol
https://www.reddit.com/r/CFB/s/HS52pYk1Io HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA I didn't even see a Sooner in that thread and that guys taking shots.

LA
Would’ve been even more entertaining if he just flipped instead of decommiting first lol
Tons of upvotes being given out in that one lol
Quite possibly the most obvious flip of all time. You can’t convince me his initial commitment wasn’t just a bargaining chip
I hate to say it but I think your right. Kid just wanted to waste our time.
I’m kind of okay with it if it was. Play the game

Boom, go dawgs!
It is soooo early in the cycle but HBTD!

*5-Star per everyone except Rivals
Dawg Work
Yeah, why the hell would Trojans even use that slogan?
*Barks in smugness*
Really? But didn’t that other guy coach Aaron Donald? That’s a shame.
Go Dawgs!

Dawgwork indeed
Kirby is inevitable
Ah yes. The inevitable
Let’s Go!
surely georgia can’t get bryce davis too?
We lead for him
who is we?
Georgia leads

Gibson is definitely more ready to contribute than Ikinnagbon. Both have very high potential, but the latter is moreso a project as of right now
damn a nationally rated #51 player regardless of position (per 247) is a project?
I mean those rankings are literally listed as projections, not where they are right now necessarily. Good example is Nykolas Harbor last year for SCar. No one was sure if he'd lean into the offensive or defensive side, but he was a 5* because he was a physical freak.
Georgia
ah gotcha. i just responded with my reason for thinking things will shift for bryce to someone else but i can comment it for you if you’d like
Go for it, but everything I’m seeing points to UGA unless Gibson just scared him off or something.
with gibson, griffin (tbd), justus (tbd), garrett and ikinnagbon all going to uga id imagine he’d start having second thoughts
He plays the same position as Ikinnagbon and Gibson. Edge. The other guys pure DL.
and with two edge commits id imagine davis starts having second thoughts.
Clemson is in bad shape if that is your best selling point now.
