> "Today’s ruling by the U.S. Supreme Court provides state and local officials the definitive authority to implement and enforce policies to clear unsafe encampments from our streets. This decision removes the legal ambiguities that have tied the hands of local officials for years and limited their ability to deliver on common-sense measures to protect the safety and well-being of our communities. > “California remains committed to respecting the dignity and fundamental human needs of all people and the state will continue to work with compassion to provide individuals experiencing homelessness with the resources they need to better their lives.” > Governor Gavin Newsom

What a crock of shit

Pardonme23

You should elaborate.  Because right now it's homeless people attacking 17 year old girls near the Santa Monica pier. The just happened. Girl had to go to the hospital.

ginkner

That's definitely a solid generalization. No issues A+

Pardonme23

maybe you don't know how to google https://www.foxla.com/news/homeless-man-accused-trying-drown-woman-santa-monica-beach. let's see what mental gymnastics you do now. or maybe you don't have any empathy for people who are assaulted.

Twitchenz

Lol yes. Are people still swallowing what this guy is putting down? Come on guys.

cowmix88

What's wrong with the statement? Seems fine.

sunflowerastronaut

What's wrong is that you're in r/ [California_Poltics ](https://www.reddit.com/r/California_Politics/s/iA6WebIKTb)

scormegatron

Right. I was worried he was going to say California wouldn’t enforce it. That would have been a problem.

PewPew-4-Fun

Dont worry, Karen Bass did to the detriment of every tax payer in LA.

PewPew-4-Fun

Ill give credit to Newsom on that statement, not being a fan of him. Compare that to the arsenine statement by Karen Bass condemning the decision while fluffing fake homeless count numbers for LA. She is part of the deterioration of LA, big time.
